Always consistently good, nice people, good wholesome philosophy. Never had a 2nd rate anything here, food, drink, staff and service all superb.

Love it here..always something interesting cooking…had the shakshuka at the weekend, and husband had the chicken laska and we enjoyed both. The Iranian bread was lovely too…always great service in a friendly buzzy atmosphere!

Popped in for a coffee on a rare visit to Ashburton and the food looked so tempting we had lunch (best hummus ever - and I've tried a lot - plus Shalshuka which was delicious). Really fresh, all served with Iranian bread warm from the oven and lovely coffee. We watched with envy as curry dishes went past to other tables - all looked delicious. It's quirky, friendly, relaxed. It's next to the Post Office so a little bit tucked away but worth seeking out - we'll be visiting Ashburton more often!

An absolute gem of a find. Visiting ashburton (great guitar shop too) on a cold day we were lucky enough to find this lovely place for lunch. Great food, friendly service and comfortable environment with a great vibe. The soup was exceptional followed by brownie and coffee - much appreciated 😋

Great food, great people. We dropped in looking for a bit of cheer on a wet Dartmoor day, and we found it. Both our dishes were fab, flavour, fresh, fun. Wishing these folks the best of success as they are truly committed to giving a great experience. It is a little tucked away but find it and enjoy. There is an outside area too which weather permitting is a lovely addition. There are only a handful of truly good food experience places around the South Hams and this is one of them.

Restaurant is an industrial setting which is quite quirky. OPOP is one plate, one price. We paid £9.95 for curry (I had daal option, my partner had chicken). It was absolutely delicious. The service was great with everyone seeming so happy to be there working. Drinks at bar prices. We found this restaurant by off chance and were really pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go there again if returning to Ashburton.

This place isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you are looking for something different do give it a try. We had dinner here. OPOP (one plate, one price) don't offer extensive menu choices. It's all about a one plate meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Don't expect fine dining, extensive wine lists and masses of menu choices. OPOP (a social enterprise) is a breath of fresh air, bringing something different with excellent ethics. Good food, good value, please support a good cause and give it a go.

What a find. We stopped in Ashburton before our drive through Dartmoor on our way to Padstow. Down this pretty lane we found this hidden gem. This is a foodie’s delight and even better they are a bona fide social enterprise. The menu is Middle Eastern and focussed on meat free (they did have some offerings for carnivores). The setting is rustic and real and the service was outstanding, the pricing was very reasonable but we were in heaven when we tasted the food. All the food was fresh and home made from scratch the ingredients are there for all to see. We had the best falafel ever, the veggie schwarma was dreamy like nothing I’ve ever tasted and the Hummus with dukkah was to die for, wish I could have taken some home. We also had an iced tahini coffee with date and honey - OMG and the vegan brownie - jeeez, YUM! We are thinking of heading back from Padstow via Ashburton for a second sitting because who knows when we will be back! Don’t miss this hidden delight folks.

Really enjoyable drinks and dinner this evening. Delicious, reasonably priced vegetarian food (there was also a meat option) and super-friendly service set to a backdrop of live music. Something very different for Ashburton and hopefully here to stay. Thanks for the warm welcome and a great evening out!

We had delicious vegetarian mains and excellent chocolate brownies for dessert, with local Sharpham vineyard wine - so good! We sat outside in the courtyard but could have sat inside with the live music which sounded great. Really lovely friendly service and love the restaurant's ethos. Restaurant is kept nice and airy with open doors. Definitely recommend!

I live locally. I have visited this restaurant twice. First time food OK (dahl and rice). But very dark and gloomy in there. Staff were lovely, however. Second time food not so good and my friend found hers really unacceptably small and frankly, odd. It was still very dark and gloomy and the noise level was such that one could not hear oneself think! The machine they use to make smoothies is like being in a factory! We left to get a coffee elsewhere and were really glad we did. The one thing which I found totally unacceptable was the toilet facility. One toilet (male/female) for a cafe seating maybe 60-80 covers, and this toilet also for the staff???? There was a line of women waiting for this loo for well over ten minutes in my last visit. I also noticed the hand sanitiser outside the loo was empty. I needed the loo but decided going to the town facility was a better bet. How can hygiene inspectors have passed this?

I chanced on this newly opened place driving through Ashburton on the way back from a walk on the moor and couldn't recommend it highly enough. A lovely little garden, delicious food (I had a Thai fish curry) and incredible value: £30 for two with...

Ordered for takeaway. Delivery was in good time and the driver was pleasant. Curry was bland and the chicken tasted nasty. Naan bread was nice and the rice is well rice. Bit disappointed that they didn’t give any free poppadoms like all other local restaurants do. Won’t be returning in a hurry.

So much more than we expected - the pictures on the website struggle to convey the tranquility and flawlessness we found here. This was a perfect out of the way experience. The perfectly professional staff were exactly where they needed to be, but never overbearing. The chef made amazing meals every evening, and i would highly recommend watching him prepare one. The swimming pool was lovely. I seriously cannot exaggerate the extent to which the staff turn this place from a lovely stay into the most relaxing few days I've had for a long time!! Jesse, the manager, was particularly smiley and was a lovely welcome to us tired travellers!
