Great breakfast today. Decided to skip the full welsh and opted for the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. Perfectly poached. Had 2 lattes so on a bit of a coffee high at the moment. Waitress kindly gave me a small jug of hot milk to add to them. The rainbow cake looked fantastic, hope it’s still on the menu next week. Love this place.

when we got to the pub for our christmas get together there was only a table for 2 when there was suppose to be a table for 4 , then a female member of staff came to the front and started to argue with us and was extremely rude as she had made the mistake , not us and then spent the rest of the evening being patronising. The food was okay but very overpriced. I will not be going there again in all the whole experience was bad..

What a great meal we had here. The food was amazing and the vibe of the service was casual but excellent, a good explanation of the dishes and attentive to ask if we was suffering with any alergies. We came for a Roast and left with full happy belly's hopefully next time we can stay a little longer for pudding. Thankyou again for your hospitality.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary at the Flower Pot Hotel with our three adult daughters. What a fantastic choice for our special celebration! Will and the team made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Our rooms were furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. The dinner menu provided ample choice for us all and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. We enjoyed drinks and bbq in the pub garden and a 10 m-minute stroll took us to the banks of the River Thames and the start of a lovely walk. Two nights here allowed us to explore nearby Henley and Marlow. We loved it all.

Last day of August. Have been to the Lockdown Lodge on several occasions. Makes for a pleasant 3 mile walk with a boat taxi parked up to take you back to Henley if you wish. Decent food, bar and toilets in a superb setting. Unfortunately this weekend we were walking past an empty field when one of our group asked whether it much further. The realisation dawned that the lodge had been disappeared into another dimension with only Google maps insistence that it was still open as proof that it had ever existed. Dear Lockdown Lodge management, please update your Google status. Giving you 2 stars for the memory, would have been 4 had you been open.

Excellent food! What looks like a traditional style pub, where you can get a pint and watch the tv or sit an enjoy a nice Indian meal is a good alternative to the usual pub grub. We were only passing by and glad we popped in. I would definitely recommend it for a eating.

Quirky wee pub with the ceiling covered in steins and jugs. Very friendly atmosphere! Lively dog on the premises as well 😊

My daughter booked and paid a deposit for a Mother’s Day meal, we arrived on time, clearly they were surprised to see us and had no table in the restaurant set for us, they grabbed a chair from another table and sat us at a bar table, not a dining table. I asked to move as it was cold, they put us at another table in the bar which wasn’t set for a Mother’s Day meal! No one advised us that they had practically nothing left on the menu! When they came 25 minutes later to take the order they only had 2 things left on the menu! Non of which was what we wanted. They said they were surprised how busy it had been and were unable to predict what people would order therefore they had hardly anything left! Considering it was 18:30pm on Mother’s Day and a deposit had been paid for all bookings I would have thought they should have enough food to feed the people that had booked! Needless to say we didn’t stay, we were very disappointed with the service, the choice and the overall visit! They refunded the deposit and gave us a glass of wine and a soda water on the house (they thought they were doing us a favour!) We left and visited the Shire Horse down the road who considering it was Mother’s Day and very last minute they were so accommodating and the food was amazing with lots of choice, I will never go back to the Bird in Hand!

Fab location on riverfront, sadly the weekend staff lack an understanding of customer service - I have never ever been told an item costs ' a quid' instead of a pound in the UK - dire and terrible. I know teenagers can be surly and short but please, do not put them in front of customers, if they cannot use grammar correctly. I have worked in customer service all my life and HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD my drink costs 2 'quid', not even a please ! Maybe at a fairground or a market, but not in an establishment such as as this in a yachting marina ! First and last visit. Shame as I would have recommend this place.
