The best restaurants serving Default food in Eton and Castle Windsor and Maidenhead South East

We had a quick stroll near the castle and stopped by this place because it was full and thought that this must be good. We only had a short time, so just ordered tea and a muffin, the food in the display looked decent enough.

I highly recommend. Today I was at breakfast with my family. Very nice and fast service. Delicious, tasty breakfast and coffee. The boss Tomasz and his wife Iwonka are very nice people. We will visit this place more than once and I recommend this place to all of you 👍👌☕️🥰

Absolutely lovely brunch with fresh ingredients cooked with attention to detail and a very attentive waitress that served us. Couldn't knock a thing about it. 💯 Going back.

What a lovely find for a mothers day lunch. Lovely food, great cake - especially the large, unusually shaped, victoria sandwich!! Small and bijou but everything you need. Both staff were lovely but the only really dealt with the older lady. She was so friendly and so polite, nothing was any trouble and she was genuinely interested in what we had done, where we lived and what we had planned. We will definitely be back when in Windsor. Many thanks, please don't change a thing. Ps. I was the one that asked for chutney or pickle in my roll and you suggested mustard, which was very nice.

Came here last Thursday with a friend. The restaurant is easy enough to find (almost opposite the castle), and near a couple of the central Windsor car parks (though these charge at least £10 for a 2 hour stay!) The atmosphere was fairly muted with only 3 other tables sat at, but we were greeted on arrival and the service was polite, attentive and friendly throughout. Foodwise, I felt this was excellent. My friend and I shared a meat platter which was plentiful, and beautifully cooked. Cant fault the experience here, would like to come back on a busier night with a bigger party.

FOOD POISONING!, went there for a celebration, i had two seafood dishes , following morning suffered from severe food poisoning causing huge embarrassment on a walking trip.. Gilbeys tell me there was nothing wrong with their food and were not the slightest bit sympathetic.. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had the bottomless brunch and the food and service was amazing!! Great value for money, great location (5 min walk from Windsor Castle and Windsor & Eton train station), lovely friendly staff and large beer garden equipped with large screen tv’s - a must for all football fans. I highly recommend this place!!

Fantastic service, food and setting for a 70th Birthday celebration. We pre booked and asked for disabled access. It was perfect. Food and service was great and very accommodating.

Staying in Eton for one night, we wanted a good local restaurant. Golden Curry was a great find - it came recommended by TripAdvisor. We ate delicious food and had a truly wonderful time talking to the owner operator Saiful. The papadums and sauces were yummy - somehow I’d never heard of them before. The naan was piping hot and mouth-watering fresh. And our main courses were great; I had the chicken tikka masala (very good) and my wife had the golden curry special (even better!) Lucky for us, we were there on a Sunday night during Eton’s spring break so Saiful showed us a few cards tricks - amazingly good! Thank you, Saiful and we wish you and your team continued success.

Great quality food. Great smash burgers. From the US and highly recommend the burgers and that’s say something. Will be back when I return to the UK

Although very busy our server Charlie was very attentive and friendly. She quickly rectified a problem with my steak not beeing hot enough . The food was of a very good quality.

Amazing fresh hot tasty food with good service. Would definitely recommmed to others. Good view of the castle. Home made style off food . Nice music to hear and relax
