Very nice pub, friendly staff, and a lovely lunch.

We have had take away from here before but the dining experience was wonderful Great service, Food was fantastic and beautifully presented Lovely atmosphere Quality of the food was exquisite

I was saddened to have experienced a beautiful day whilst with my family and my daughter being pregnant and needed to sit a rest for a minute to catch her breath with the heat aswell I found a table in amongst the hetic atmosphere of the beautiful festival a rather rude lady that worked at the shop said to move as paying customers have these seats, shocked at her manor as we could of been deciding to order we stood up to leave straight away and nasty comment made of how “we all have problems” muttered even other customers heard. Very rude and my family were shocked from someone who’s manors were awful Mandy

Friendly, buzzy restaurant with memorably delicious food. We really enjoyed everything we ordered but especially so the asparagus, lamb and patatas fritas. The service was excellent and helpful.

Totally overpriced for standard of food. Over £16 for a watery cauliflower cheese, bread and butter, coffee. Won't be eating there again.

We visited here twice yesterday and had excellent service, excellent coffees and in the afternoon excellent teas. We didn't eat anything and not sure if they catered for my vegan/GF diet but the ambience was great, the service excellent and we both enjoyed our visits.

We stopped for coffee and cake and struggled to find a seat, number control of customers was not controlled and it wasn’t a relaxing morning break. We will not be re visiting

I don't know who was running the van tonight but it was like it had hijacked by imposter's. Took the order over the phone and two of them didn't know what was on their own menu. Our order wasn't big but included a large chips and a kofta kebab with mint yogurt sauce and a mega burger with cheese and a kebab burger... The chap on the phone seemed confused but he repeated the order back to me and it had everything we asked for until it was paid for a and collected with no chips and the worst looking kebab I've ever seen smothered in yogurt with no salad and the burgers were the same... When I called back I asked where the chips were and he said he forgot but didn't charge....He did charge and forgot!!! I asked where the salad was and he said I didn't want any....Again I never said no salad but wasn't offered either so I assumed it would come with it anyway.... It was our first time ordering here as locals and it will be our last....What a bizarre set up if that was the actual owner I don't know how he has survived this long as kebab van...

Our third visit in a week. This time for food which was fabulous. Bruschetta, lobster and beef burger plus eton mess pudding. Service, atmosphere and beautiful countryside surroundings made for a wonderful evening. Highly recommend this wonderful pub.

Retains a historic market town feel with an up to date but still classic pub menu. Good choices of drinks and great service

Food was great really enjoyed it, service was shockingly bad, missed orders, didn't clear plates , tried to deliver a dessert to a table with lots of empty plates , but didn't thing to make room by clearing it. Coffee cups are ridiculously small, why be mean when its only about a bit more water!

A great restaurant with excellent authentic food. We came here on a Friday night and it was very busy, but the staff set up a table for us in the bar area before a proper table became available. The service was very good, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The garlic chilli chicken is delicious with a peshwari naan 🤌🏻. Thank you very much, we will be coming here again soon!

My friend and I shared a day out on Easter Monday. The countryside was at its most glorious, flowers in abundance everywhere. We had booked tickets for the Watercress Line, but allowed time for lunch. Although I hadn't reserved a table, we were fortunate to be accommodated by friendly staff, who could not have been more polite and attentive. The setting is delightful, the food was excellent, accompanied by a pint of local ale. Highly recommended as a relaxing day out.

Fantastic food, and a lovely setting outside under the apple trees. We had the roast trio, which was generous and delicious. Great potatoes! The dessert menu looked so good, we shared the blueberry basque cheesecake, which did not disappoint. I thought a good portion size, well presented and delicious. We arrived about 12:30 on a sunny Sunday, and were glad we had not been any later, as it was rammed by the time we were done, with delays in the kitchen as a result. We waited about 40 mins for our food, which was a bit longer than we would expect, but it was worth the wait. We will be back!
