Food was great really enjoyed it, service was shockingly bad, missed orders, didn't clear plates , tried to deliver a dessert to a table with lots of empty plates , but didn't thing to make room by clearing it. Coffee cups are ridiculously small, why be mean when its only about a bit more water!

A nice small menu to choose from which usually shows they do it properly. Food is excellent and good size portions. Coffee is amazing as are the cakes etc

Ordered cappuccino extra hot, it was not. More like the size of a flat white . Nice and clean inside. Don’t like the fact the cakes are on the counter with no covers on them

Modern stylish cafe, close to watercress line station. Plenty of parking (free and pay) very good coffee, service a bit slow. Quite noisy as very open with hard surfaces. Brilliant collection of cook books

£28 for two tiny coffees and a two bacon rolls. Price would had been somewhat bearable but relish and onion in a breakfast bacon roll made if somewhat odd.

The BEST place for a coffee and more in the whole of Alresford

We've visited Party at the Mill several times now and the food has always been excellent. Coffee is very good too - supplied by local roastery 'The Roasting Party' which is how I discovered this place. Coffee servings are a tad small but that's the only negative I can think of. Really nice atmosphere, service can be a little slow but to be fair to them this is a busy venue due to its popularity. It pays to reserve a table at weekends to avoid disappointment. The English breakfast is a full plate of tasty delights and probably one of the best I've ever had. The cake selection is good and those we've tried have been delicious, save some room... There's free & secluded motorcycle parking within a very short walk so happy days for us! If you come by car there is plentiful parking nearby but you will need to pay for it. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area and looking for top quality food and drink.

We left the restaurant struggling to understand the pricing here for the small dishes and serving sizes they offer. I appreciate they’ve only just opened for their evening menu & dining but I think they’ve positioned themselves way off since they were beyond some London prices I’ve encountered. £12 for this small Aperol Spritz. We were really looking forward to coming here but left feeling disappointed after we decided not to eat here with their inflated food prices also.

Four of us stopped for drinks and cake after a beautiful walked round Alresford and we're very sadly disappointed. Party at the Mill looked so inviting but needs improvement. The service was very ramshackle and the staff very sullen ... Smiles make a world of difference. The cakes were delivered but the drinks didn't arrive for a further 10 minutes, no sugar, no milk, no teaspoons. These items finally arrived after at least another 5 minutes. The cakes looked so inviting but coffee and walnut had no walnuts or coffee flavour and the sticky coffee cake was carrot cake. You have a beautiful concept in Alresford but we would need to be tempted back. This is not a moaning review but constructive feedback from the customer point of view.

The menu was promising but unfortunately the kitchen didn’t deliver, we found it to be overpriced and a little disappointing.

Best English breakfast I’ve had …ever! Great coffee and cakes in a lovely setting. Will come again.

Hubby and I stopped here this morning for breakfast whilst on gallery deliveries in the area. My usual Google search is ‘breakfast near me, open now’ and this gem of an eatery popped right up! It was very easy to find and right next to a huge car park! Perfect! It is also right next to the scenic Watercress Railway so a great stop for anyone visiting there! The cafe is pretty big and spacious so you don’t feel on top of everyone. There are loads of books if you want to kick back and read a while, and the walls are lined with interesting artworks, all done by one of the chefs, the whole place has a really cool industrial vibe going on. John ordered the bacon and egg roll which he really enjoyed! The bacon was smothered in maple syrup making it delicious! He did need to use a knife and fork though as it was a mess to eat but he said it was SO good! My choice was toasted banana bread, served hot with two pats of butter - it was absolutely delicious!! Two big mugs of hot tea and we were all set! Thanks guys, we had a great visit and I’ve saved you to my Google Maps for next time ;) Keep up the good work :)

Nice setting, very friendly staff and although we didn’t have any, all the food looked nice. However the way to make a nice cup of tea is not to throw a plastic tea bag in a mug of hot water …. only a pot will do.

Grabbed a takeaway of 2 hot drinks and 2 pastries to have on our walk. Drinks were okay, but nothing special, however both pastries were very over cooked/burnt and dry. The total came to £16 which really wasn't worth what we got. We were only a takeaway so staff interaction was very little however what interaction we did have wasn't overly friendly either, so overall very disappointed. We've been before for dinner and had a lovely meal and staff were great, so maybe an off day.

I came for brunch today with my husband and 2 dogs. I heard about Party At They Mill from a friend whose recommended Friday and Saturday evenings. Convenient parking just outside. Received a nice warm welcome. Loved the decor and all the cook books 🙌🏼 Silk sonic playing in the background gave the place great atmosphere. The prices are so reasonable, my latte was £3! And wasn’t so hot you couldn’t drink it for 10 minutes. My husband had a hibiscus & berry loose left tea which he really enjoyed. We ordered avocado toast and a Ruben toastie. The sumac onions with the avocado were amazing! The Ruben was extra cheesy. We also had 2 smoothies, after ordering we were told there was an issue with their blender so might take a little longer to make or we might get a refund. I was happy to swap for a couple of cakes as I was planning to get some to takeaway anyway. But the staff found another blender in the kitchen and went over and above to get the smoothies made. And it was worth it, they were super tasty. Overall we had a great first visit and I can’t wait to come back to try the pancakes! And to come on a Friday or Saturday evening with friends. The dogs even go a little plate of treats ❤️ Thank you to all the staff!!

I have been here a few times for coffee, breakfast and lunch. The food is really good, the focaccia mozzarella toastie is delicious, as is the chicken burger. Not sure of the supplier, but the quality of the bread is fantastic. Have also enjoyed delicious soup, pancakes and lovely carrot cake, all recommended. People are complaining about high prices but personally I would prefer to pay a bit more and have great quality ingredients instead of the average food you get at most cafes at the moment. Only thing I wouldn’t rate is the smoothies as the ones I have tried have been quite bland or have had an ingredient missing. Also would prefer a tea pot instead of the metal tea strainer that doesn’t work that well. But these are minor things. I think the negative comments on coffee size are unfair and suggest people don’t understand specialty coffee, which should not be served in a big cup. A flat white is very small and cappuccino only slightly bigger. Overall, great quality food and can’t wait to come and try the pizzas. Staff are friendly too.

Bacon rolls had sauce added without being requested, not everyone likes sauce. Over priced for what it is.

25 of us had a really fabulous evening at PATM on Saturday. The food was superb, the team were amazing and there was a really great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Great place for friends & family to meet for breakfast - a wide range of choices from breakfast to pancakes!

Food was great and a select menue offering. Chose a selection of starters and mains a bit like tapas . Would like a little less base whilst eating, but at Xmas party time it was a refreshing alternative venue for us. Will definitely go back when we return. Great find.

The building and staff seem very nice. This was my first visit and the cappuccino disappointed for strength and just not hot enough. The food was ok but not outstanding.

Lovely cafe by the train station in Alresford so close to parking. We had coffee and banana cake (toasted with butter, it was amazing!).

Always enjoy meeting with friends here. Lovely coffee and cake, nice outside seating area and friendly staff. I do think the size of the glass that my latte came in, is very small for the price and have also found another reviewer saying the same. So I will remember (and urge others) to ask for a bigger cup! It seems that this is ok.

What a wonderful find! We only stopped by for a hot drink and ended up having cake as well. The Peppermint Tea was made with loose tea (as per photo) and the coffee was excellent. We had chocolate and orange cake and a Coffee and walnut also. Absolutely delicious! We interacted with 2 of the young ladies working there and they couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Definitely recommended 👍

Excellent addition to Alresford! I've been in a few times since moving back to Hampshire in the past month and haven't been disappointed. Yes, food in particular is on the more-expensive side (hence four stars), but I've really enjoyed it all. As someone who likes specialty coffee, this place is great. To counteract (several of) the reviews saying the coffee sizes are "too small", this shows the issue with having high street chains serving gigantic coffee sizes - lots assume this is the norm across the board. When the coffee is particularly good, it does not matter! Thanks again, team. Keep up the good work.

This is a great independent coffee shop in a lovely location, slightly off the main High Street in Alresford. The team roast their own beans locally and the coffee is always top quality. We love going on a Sunday for the morning delivery of cinnamon buns topped with cream cheese frosting. Yum. I'd they've run out of them, try something with the coffee maple glazed bacon - my daughter tells me this is the best bacon in the world and she could be right! They have pizza nights too if you're looking for an evening fix.

Would give this zero stars if possible I took my husband here this morning for a birthday breakfast and we tried to order avocado on toast with eggs, both of which were on the menu separately . We were told very firmly NO by Kirby the owner. I have never had anyone speak to me so rudely and aggressively as he did and he then proceeded to make a huge scene in front of other customers. (some of who were friends) We have lived in Alresford for over 10 years and I have never had such a horrid and upsetting experience.

Visited on the weekend during a walk around Alresford. Quite a surprise to find a cafe belting out dance music across from a heritage railway, lots of people coming in from the railway looking a bit confused! Not a bad thing though to be different. The cake was lovely but slightly let down that they didn't bring my sons milkshake and my tea was not loose leaf as advertised, but the cake made up for it!

Visited for the first time yesterday. Friendly service, Nice bacon and egg roll. The downside for us was the very small glass our latte's were served in which didn't represent either good value nor sufficient quantity. This would probably prevent us visiting again as there are lots of good coffee shops in Alresford which offer larger coffees which are just as nice. Please sort the coffee sizes and we'll be back.

Great venue location, very friendly staff who always welcome you with a smile. Exceptional pizzas and milkshakes (my favourite). Recently also hosted a book launch event here and the feedback from my guests was also brilliant! Highly recommend…

Lovely coffee & excellent cakes, can't ask for much more than that when looking for a place to stop during a bike ride. Plenty of bike rack space is a huge positive. Will certainly return!

This came at the end of a lovely walk around Arlesford. A nice bright modern place, right next to the station car park. Good coffee, delicious food and efficient, friendly service. Will visit again.

Does not take cash. Requested £14 services only had £15 in notes premises refused to give change, asked not to return again if only have cash, both pieces of cake excellent hot chocolate extremely small and cold. I will not ever return.

Victims of their own success. We were headed to the Station Cafe when we came across this smart looking place which was new to us. We went in and were told it was table service so we said we would sit outside. It took a long time to take our order and even longer to deliver it. It was wrong so we asked for it to be put right. Again we had to wait a long time and again our order (two Americanos with hot milk, sweetners and teaspoon) was wrong. At this point we asked for our money back. They did sort of apologise but said that they were very busy. When you are busy that is the time to concentrate and get it right first time. We ended up at the Station Cafe where the coffee was more expensive but right first time.

Came here for brunch and I cannot fault the food, an excellent bacon and egg roll and the coffee is absolutely fantastic. The service however leaves a lot to be desired. Very unenthusiastic staff who weren't the most attentive.

Stopped here for a coffee, ended up having a roll with egg and vegan bacon, delicious. Apparently they have pastries from an award winning baker and someone on another table had a great looking salad, going back ASAP. Friendly staff too.

Fabulous place.light,airy and modern.Staff are fantastic, service is excellent.Food is cooked fresh and is served as soon as it is ready. I dumped my usual bacon and/or sausage bread roll for a vegan falafel brunch and it was amazing.Fantastic.

The Party at the Mill looks amazing. It has a great modern but welcoming vibe. We were seated immediately. The staff were amazing, they were friendly, helpful and a mistake with our order was promptly corrected. Lovely coffee and the food was excellent, if a tad slow but worth the wait. Ordered two flat whites, one standard and one with oat milk. Came quickly and were very nice. Vegan over night oats was a fair portion and tasted great. The bacon and egg roll with chilli jam was lovely, the bread roll tasted incredible.

Very Friendly, good service and lovely food

Really poor customer service. On arrival requested not to enter the restaurant. Lost most of the order. No apologies. I made the mistake of upgrading my avacado on toast with an egg which added another £3 to the bill. When the waitress realised half the order was missing she just dumped the plate in the middle of the table and threw the cutlery down. When I came to pay they couldn't find the order. We all felt like we weren't wanted as customers and so won't be returning.

Appalling customer service skills by the barista that seemed going through “some stuff” when I asked her If she was in a bad mood Clearly not fit for the job as had to make a cappuccino twice , served a cold espresso, when I asked if the (single looking) double espresso was the right measure bluntly said “yes” and rolled her eyes . Also asking for a tip as we pay before even trying the cakes and coffee is unfair and very “American” . Cakes were good apparently but I recommend having a word with the staff as we won’t be coming back for sure . £31 for 3 cakes and 5 coffees

Chocolate orange cake was amazing

Food was ok but very small portions - a mistake meant I was served two poached eggs on 1 small slice of sourdough dough for £8 which was ridiculous, but they did rectify it. Avocado smash was only 1 slice of sourdough toast, thinly spread also, not sufficient for the prices. Food and drink choices did sound lovely on menu, but coffee and hot chocolate came in very small glasses, strangely the tea pot was only half filled with water. We came away feeling unsatisfied and a bit hungry still.
