Really good food. Great atmosphere. Lovely ciders. Very child friendly and the mac and cheese was to die for!

We recently visted the stable for a bottomless brunch for 16 people ! It was by far the best bottomless we have had, Toby our waiter really looked after our table nothing was too much trouble. The food was spot on and the cocktails were fantastic!! We will definitely be visting again

Gorgeous, delicious pizza … but it took an hour to arrive, and when we turned up 7 minutes before our booking, we got asked to leave and come back later.

Yummy “Winchester pizza” with a serving of garlic bread, nachos, and strawberry cider beer for about £46. It was the two of us and we had leftovers. All that food would have been perfect for three people. Pizza size is like a medium size Dominoes. Excellent service. Quick, friendly, and they didn’t rush us out. Young man there was particularly nice. We had dinner.

The Stable in Winchester was really good. The pizza had lots of flavor, and the crust was just right—crispy but not too hard. There were plenty of toppings to choose from, and they were all interesting. The staff were very attentive and made everything feel smooth and easy. My wife especially loved the ambiance, saying it felt cozy and warm, with a welcoming vibe that made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Overall, the food was great, and it was a nice place to spend time.

Delicious food with a great vibe. The guy who served us (Toby) was fab! We were able to fully enjoy our meal and drinks without feeling rushed, despite the busy Saturday lunchtime rush.

Love this franchise and the Winchester location is on of the nicest. Always delicious pizza and variety of ciders.

Sign at the door “wait to be seated”. Waited for 5 minutes, didn’t look particularly busy, made eye contact with a couple of staff. Ignored. Shame. Came to Three Joes just down the road, definitely more busy, got seated within 30 seconds of entering. Says it all.

Extremely poor attitude by one member of staff who let the whole place down

One of the staff members was incredibly rude to us from minute we got in there, very unprofessional of them. Been in here a few times because they have a great selection of ciders and had no issues, but after this I will spend my money elsewhere, shame though as it shows how one member of your staff can have such a detrimental effect on your business.

We hosted our wedding party at The Stable in Winchester, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the get-go, Laura and her team had everything under control, making sure the night went off without a hitch so we could just enjoy ourselves. We had DJs, casino tables, flowers, and more brought in, and The Stable handled it all brilliantly—nothing was too much trouble, and everything slotted into place perfectly. Now, about the pizzas… we ordered 40 and not a single slice survived by the end of the night! They were an absolute hit with everyone. And the drinks? Our guests were spoilt for choice with all the brilliant beers, ciders, and more on offer. The bar was well and truly put to good use! The atmosphere was spot on—lively, energetic, and just what we were after for a proper wedding celebration. The staff kept that energy up all evening and made sure everyone had a great time. With around 80 guests, the space worked perfectly, with plenty of room for dancing, the casino tables, and a nice spot for people to sit and chat. If you're looking for a venue that knows how to throw a proper party, The Stable is the place. We couldn’t have asked for a better night!

Honestly, we arrived at 9pm and they refused to give dinner. Never happened something like that. Food I couldn't try because they refused to serve. In another place closer they were warm and welcome. I don't recommend this place.

My grandchild and I are spending a week in Winchester. We visited The Stable twice. The pizzas are the most delicious with fresh toppings and the staff is ver kind and helpful. I would mention Amelie and Will. Friendy service and the Best pizza in town. Don't forget tó leave room főre the amazing brownie.

Nice pizza and mac &cheese for kids. Quite busy

We visited recently for our anniversary meal and were amazed by the great food and service! Amanda went above and beyond to make sure we had a special meal, alongside Will who hosted us. The food was amazing, and would defo recommend!!

I can't say it's delicious, it's not bad. The location is nice, young people work, the prices are neither expensive nor cheap. The sauce on one of the pizzas we ate was very sour. We asked for cider and it was lukewarm, we asked for ice and the problem was solved. It was crowded, I guess a little care was not taken. For example, there was a dirty ashtray on the table, we asked if you could take it, there were butts, fruit residues and a dirty napkin in it, the attendant took it and put it on the side table. Moreover, there was a customer at the table he set, but I guess the British don't care about such things.

The pizzas are the best in Winchester. They have excellent bases of sourdough that stay crispy on the bottom - the bases taste really good too, which isn't true everywhere. The toppings are all locally sourced and are completely delicious. The menu changes seasonally and there are always a few you'd really like to try. If you like cider and perry you must visit here whilst you are in Winchester, they have a brilliant array. I recommend Bee Sting - a delicious perry. The service is friendly and efficient. I suggest you go for a late lunch or an early dinner, it's quietest then. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I have eaten here a number of times and the food and service is good and the beers are excellent. However you cannot call a margherita "proper" if it has parmesan cheese on it AND RAPESEED OIL. It is an insult to Italians! A margherita pizza is dough, a fresh tomato base, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and a spiral of extra virgin olive oil.

Friends and I do a bottomless brunch each year and thought we’d try here. Fab food -sharing starters - lovely pizzas with lots of toppings (rather than a meagre handful) the cocktails are not watered down 🎉 and the staff (Amanda and Jack) were brilliant throughout … we will be back 😎

Had dinner here tonight and even though it was extremely busy, the food and cider came out super quick. We sat outside on the street which was delightful as there is hardly any traffic on the road. Excellent pizza and average prices. Also a great location in a very picturesque city.

Not quite as pretty as the pictures suggest, The Winchester Stable was very busy when we visited. Popular with 20 somethings, the interior was quite noisy and we couldn’t always hear each other at the table. That said, I can see why it’s so popular. The Stable is energetic, lively, with good food choices and an excellent drinks menu if you like your cider. Service couldn’t be faulted with extremely attentive staff. As a mixed age party including three adults over 70, we probably weren’t the core demographic for the lunch sitting, but everyone found something they wanted and we were made to feel at home. We weren’t rushed and they made a fuss of our dog, so all came away happy. Goat’s Cheese & Roasted Squash salad for me, heartily recommended.

Can't recommend these guys enough! We had a very small wedding celebration and wanted to use a smaller local restaurant and not a huge chain. As soon as you mention the M word, most places will start to add extra £££s! Not here, they were super accommodating, flexible, friendly and all round great hosts. All the staff were wonderful, the food was delicious and they created a great atmosphere for us. We've been back a few times just the two of us and everything was brilliant! Thank you so much guys for helping us with our special day :)

Went there today with family and 2 kids. Atmosphere was great, staff were really friendly and food was delicious! We ordered the red rooster Mac and cheese and a different order came as a mistake. Honestly it was no big deal and we were told we had to wait another 5 minutes or so. When getting the bill, the lady was so kind to tell us that they didn’t charge us for it because of the wait and mistake. It’s our first time in Winchester and I can confidently say the Winchester stable made a very positive experience in our time here. Would highly recommend! 👍

We went for pizza here on Saturday. After waiting for a long time, we realised that the order was not coming. We spoke to the manager who confirmed that the order wasn’t put through. She dealt with it very swiftly and told us the pizzas would be ready in a few minutes and it was all on the house. She was very attentive and made sure we were enjoying the experience by offering even more drinks and dessert on the house. Would definitely come again because of the lovely service. Oh yes, and the pizzas were very tasty.

There was a wide selection of ciders, IPA's, and other beverages. The Pizza (Blazing Saddle) was filling, delicious and living up to its name had a kick to it, sad that it was a thin base but hardly if at all detracted from the overall meal. My colleagues also enjoyed: The Winchester Slice The Pepperoni pizza And the Cider Tasting Board selection.

Pizzas were amazing. As was biscoff cheesecake. Oh and the cider. Would highly recommend.

Great food, I was worried about cross contamination but they were awesome and already had really strong precautions in place and really delicious gluten free pizza! Their service and patience as they explained their precautions was great - would highly recommend.

The garlic cheese bread is amazing. They have tons of ciders to pick from, as well as a few IPAs.

Was on a solo trip to Winchester and popped in because it was close my to hotel! The staff was super accommodating, the vibes are awesome, and the food was super delicious! Plus there was a huge range of craft beers and ciders on tap or bottled. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

I reviewed the Stable Winchester not that long ago, but I'll give you my opinion on our latest visit. We came to Winchester from Wolverhampton to collect my daughter from University for Easter. We needed to book somewhere to eat on Good Friday evening and we can't help but gravitate towards the Stable. We were greeted by a very friendly and competent young lady who showed my wife and I to our table whilst we waited for our daughters to arrive. Drinks were ordered and brought promptly and our food order was taken when the drinks arrived. No long delay for the food either. We tucked in unashamedly to the feast before us which was, as always, spot on. Desserts and coffee were then offered and duly accepted, brought and devoured. I can't really fault you guys. Part of me feels we should try somewhere different to eat, but, what the hell, we get great service great food and drink and a really pleasant atmosphere. So, I'm afraid, whilst we keep coming to Winchester, you're going to have to keep feeding us. I'd only give you 10/10 because I can't give you more. 👏

My wife is gluten free and she said the pizza was one of the best she has had. The choice of different ciders was amazing. The staff were really helpful and welcoming.

I sat here for lunch and it was a great experience. They were quite busy, so service was a bit slow, but the team were really kind and friendly. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed my pizza, it was light and the toppings were great. They had a decent selection of pizzas for meat lovers, veggies and vegans alike! Quality chili oil as well

Decent food, really nice pizzas and great selection of drinks, in a great location. Really let down by incredibly slow service. Waited 30 mins from arrival for drinks to arrive, was over an hour before food arrived which is far too long for pizza. Zero attention from staff, who didn’t tend to our table once in the 2.5 hours we were there, even though they made a point of saying it was table service when we arrived. We had to go to the bar to ask them to come and take orders for additional drinks and dessert which seemed like a chore, after which they took over 20 mins to bring one drink. Shame as the food was actually very good.

We had two pizzas: Hawaii and the Blazing Saddle. The latter highly recommended: the marmalade really adds flavor (and goes well with janapeno) and pulled beef gives it texture. My friend does not like her Hawaii, saying the tomato sauce and ham both lack fragrance and flavor. It will be good if a wider food selection is available. Lovely service.

Good pizza place with a decent (but somewhat limited) veggie and vegan options. They always have good beer and cider on tap or in bottles. Only down side is that it has become hugely popular over the last few years so you need to book and make sure you arrive on time.

Pulled beef nachos with very little beef to be seen... disappointing.

Lovely restaurant with super friendly, efficient, and helpful staff. Pizzas were outstanding, as was the great range of Ciders.. The best part was that nearly every pizza base could be gluten-free, so my coeliac partner was in heaven. Could not rate this pizza restaurant enough.. We went on a Monday at 5.30 pm, by 6.00 pm it was very busy, a great indication of how good this place is.

I've visited The Winchester Stable a few times over recent years, and can safely say that my most recent experience was fantastic. I sampled several of the pizzas and they were all equally delicious. The butternut squash and goats cheese salad was also fantastic, and I would highly recommend the 'tots' too! Make sure you leave some room for their homemade biscoff cheesecake - it is AMAZING! As always, the selection of Cider on offer at The Stable is vast, but you can’t go wrong with a Lilley’s Bee Sting. If you’re looking to share the same Cider it’s definitely worth getting a ‘Growler’ which is just over 3 pints for around £15 which is pretty reasonable. Overall, the service, food and ambience were all great, and I’d certainly recommend a visit if you’re looking for a good value bite to eat in a buzzy restaurant in Winchester.

Been coming roughly once a year since it opened and it is still very good in terms of excellent pizzas, lovely staff and great building. However the cider selection, whilst still very good compared to most places, has definitely reduced over the years and they inexplicably stopped doing the great pies they were known for! Bring them back and could well be 5* next time!!

Excellent pizzas I had the festive pizza this time a absolutely delicious Brie cranberry and butternut squash what a combo. Great choice of ciders and fab atmosphere.

The service was very good and the pizza was reasonable. Unfortunately we were eating pretty close to two large dogs. They weren’t assistance dogs and to be fair, were very good natured, but if, like me, you prefer animal free dining areas, then it’s worth noting you may have to share your space with them if you eat here. For that reason, I won’t be returning.

Great place to eat, service was a tad weird due to having more than one person try and take our order and 3 people checking in on a table of 5. There was a birthday party and a few families in the restaurant which goes to show it's a good place to eat. The cider was good too.

Food was nice and the variety of pizzas was good! Seemed quite expensive for a pizza! Service was good and they offered drinks etc. Toilets are pretty interesting, the tiling around the urinal will set your OCD off!

We visited here today for our anniversary dinner. We were greeted straight away and given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. We were served by a lovely girl who had started her first shift. She was so kind and efficient. Will definitely come back when we are in Winchester next

Huge selection of cider and tasting options if you want to sample a selection. They'll probably have what you're looking for! Pizzas were cooked to order quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing to say is try to book a table in advance as it's popular in peak times!

The table was sticky and the chairs and floor were covered in food and liquid. The food was brilliant.

Passing by on a chilly damp day, taking in the sights and we glanced in the window. We were not sure if it was open, but I tried the door and was met by a lovely, friendly young lady. We chose a table, purchased fabulously tasting cider, Mac n' Cheese, and pizza plus lush cheesecake. All in all, cracking - glad I tried the door. Our presence in the window worked, the place was buzzing when we left.

Terrible customer service and poor management. Ordered nachos with pulled beef and a pizza. The nachos and beef came out burnt with barely any beef, and mostly stuck to the baking paper, and a tiny portion that you couldn’t justify as a main course. No big deal I thought, but trying to send it back and deal with the waiter was a nightmare who didn’t want to to do anything about it. Lots of too’ing and fro’ing with his supervisor, who I could see across the room but who clearly didn’t want to speak to us directly. He took away the remaining nachos (near full portion), and offered a 10% discount on the bill. I couldn’t have even finished them at this point even if I wanted to! After lots of back and fourth, he reluctantly offered to remove them from the bill - nothing more and barely even an apology. No thanks. We’ll be going elsewhere next time.

I am a loyal stable customer however we booked a bottomless brunch for my friends birthday yesterday which we were excited for. However the staff were rude and seemed like they hated their job. We got told we’d have a last order 15 minutes before the leaving time in which we were not served, I proceeded to talk to who seemed like the manager behind the bar and refused to serve us. She also rolled her eyes and was rude. It’s a shame because the stable have great food and usually nice staff however this was not the case.

Excellent, best pizza in Winchester

Food was great waiting staff were friendly and polite unfortunately the service was slow although I think that was due to not having enough people on shift for the amount of customers.

We arrived at the same time as several other people. There appeared to only be one waitress to welcome people, seat them, take orders and make drinks so it was a while until we were served. From that point however it got a lot better. Food was great, quick service and piping hot. Gluten free base lovely. The waitress came over to apologise for the delay at the start, but she did a wonderful job. We will be back.

We love going to The Stable but sadly our visit fell very short this time around. We booked dinner for 2045 on a Saturday evening. We were stood for ages waiting to be seated even though staff members kept walking past us. We ordered two ciders and asked for a glass of ice on the side. We also ordered tater tots to eat first. The ice was forgotten but was brought over when we reminded them. We were sat waiting a while and started to wonder where our food was. Then our waiter said there was a problem with the ovens and our food was just coming, but could we remind him what we had ordered. He said the tater tots were on the side just coming down and the other food was being cooked as we spoke. He rushed off to the till where we think he put our forgotten about food order through. 5 mins later the tots arrived very hot so clearly had only just come out of the oven not left of the side. 5 mins after our mains came out. The food was great as always but the service was terrible. We think there were quite a few new starters who needed better guidance, the manager spent the whole time behind the bar making drinks when she really should have been on the floor. The staff were more interested in setting up the tables for the next day than making sure the customers were happy. This used to be our go to place for dinner but think we will leave visiting for a while.

Good selection of food and drink with a good atmosphere

It seemed like our table was unpopular with the front of house staff to the point I needed to raise my hand to get attention, irratating and frustrating service, food was ok at best, good beer though, this chain seems to be lowering its standards so I'll leave it to settle for a while before heading back.

The place is nice, but not very welcoming. Hard to catch a member of staffs eye and difficult to book a table. We didn't eat here, but had a beer and a coffee. The plus side is all their pizzas can be made gluten free.

Such an awesome restaurant. The cider tasting board was excellent (shout-out to Sheppy's Elderflower!) and the pizzas were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended the Winchester and the Burger Pizzas. Can't wait to come back.

After being let down elsewhere we returned to one of our favorites which as usual provided lovely beer and excellent food in a wonderful vibrant atmosphere
