The Three Horseshoes is a fantastic spot for both fish and chips and a classic roast dinner! The fish and chips are crispy, fresh, and bursting with flavor—definitely some of the best around. Their roast dinner is equally impressive, with tender meat, perfectly roasted veggies, and all the trimmings. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make every visit a treat. At less than a week's notice, the Three Horseshoes provided a table for a family party of 17 plus when our previous arrangements had to be cancelled. They could not have been more charming and responsive both prior and on the day. The waiting staff were extremely efficient, and the unsung heroes, the kitchen staff, worked their socks off as the pub filled up at lunchtime. The food was delicious, and my wider family loved the outdoor seating, shaded on this bright day. We felt unhurried and relaxed. A lovely place, thank you.

Had a lovely meal at the three horseshoes! Cosy interior, simple but delicious menu and the staff were excellent! We had the burger, truffle fries and fish and chips and would 100% reccomend! Great portion sizes too. Will return :)

We've lived in Bramdean for 5 years and never knew about the three horseshoes in Bighton until this evening when we we're looking for pubs near by. From the minute you pull into the car park you feel like it's a special place and when you walk into this beautiful building you realise it is a bit special. Great decor and cosy and welcoming staff. The menu was diverse and everything sounded appetising. Me and my partner and son had starters and main and it was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Gluten free options available as well as vegetarian. Fresh local produce too. Dog friendly and plenty of seating inside and out with beautiful views all around. You won't be disappointed it was busy but very relaxed and we really enjoyed our meal and will be adding it to our top 10 pubs.

Must MUST go. Amazing place, super nice food and beer - beer and selection is great with also some local products. With good weather you can chill outside in the amazing garden!

Roast beef was excellent. What a great spot for Sunday lunch.

Hidden gem, food was amazing, my wife is vegetarian and was blown away by the vegetarian Sunday dinner, likewise my mum, never one to be impressed was harassing me the next day to book again....friendly service too and a pub dog ...this place was made with Sundays in mind...

A wonderful lunch outing. Walked in to see a cosy log fire in mid September and a wonderful atmosphere. Perfect ambience and lovely service and food. Great menu choice. Richard Plus. I booked in for a walking group for lunch for 15 guests, on the day we were actually 22! but Alex and the chef coped magnificently with the challenge and the dishes came out all together and perfectly presented, no compromise on quality even with such a large group. Well done!!

A fantastic rural pub with great food and service. I met a friend here for dinner on a weekday evening and we both really enjoyed our meals. I hope to visit again in the near future.

Another great pub on one of my walks. Only a couple of beers...well kept. But didn't eat here. Food looks good though. Very nicely kept tidy pub too with lots of parking and garden. I will definitely go back...hopefully soon.

Delicious lunch today sitting on the terrace, one of us in the sun and the other in the shade. Absolutely faultless fish main with lemon and herb risotto. Lemon meringue for pud. Great service. Will definitely go again.

I haven't been here for so long and I have been missing out. Communication for booking was quick and polite. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and spot on with timing. Food exceeded expectation. We will be back after half term

The Three Horseshoes is a charming country pub located in the village of Bighton, just outside of Alresford. We had heard good things about it so a table of four of us visited for Sunday lunch in April. The pub itself is very quaint, and had a lovely atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive too. The food we had at The Three Horseshoes was good, however, I do feel that £21.00 for a Roast Chicken Breast was slightly on the edge of expensive. My partner ordered Fish and Chips, and was quite disappointed that it arrived with French Fries. Now I’m sure you could argue it’s fried potato, but I do feel that this was quite a mis-step and did slightly sour his experience. Overall, it was a nice pub, and we enjoyed our experience, but a few niggles did knock it down slightly in my star rating.

What a really lovely pub which I went to for the first time. Very good service, delicious food and a great atmosphere. A real find and one not to be missed. Thank you! 😊

Family lunch to check out the menu before my nieces wedding ceremony there next year. Small menu of all good home made food, sourced locally where possible, which was delicious and perfectly okcooked. I sampled the vegetarian option of homemade local watercress and potato soup followed by Gnocchi, crispy kale and truffle oil, which there was so much of I couldn't finish it. Friendly and attentive staff. Digs welcome. Well worth a visit and looking forward to the wedding buffet.

Fabulous food, great atmosphere and very nice and friendly staff, had the pork belly bites and burger last night completed by raspberry sorbet, every thing was delicious, highly recommended!

Met for midweek dinner with a girlfriend, and had delicious hay smoked lamb belly and white chocolate panne cotta. Lovely warm, friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and good value for money. Will be returning with friends and family.

Took my girlfriend here for dinner on her birthday and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, the service was stellar and the atmosphere was excellent (shout out to Hoover the pub dog!). Very well priced considering the high quality. We'll be coming back for certain!

So so good. Atmosphere, food, staff simply stunning. We went in between Xmas and New Year and it was very busy but this did not detract from food comimg out in good time and hot, staff were amazing considering and overall we thought great value for money. Yes it is on the higher end price wise but it is WORTH EVERY PENNY. Thank you guys for a great experience. We will be back, probably en mass with the whole family very soon. UPDATE. 8th Jan 23. We returned and had a roast chicken and a roast beef. Now we have had plenty of decent roasts in our time but boy oh boy these were amazing. We also tried 2 different deserts and again, Wowzer. A must visit.

Booked for Saturday lunch in December with my wife. Pub was very busy but they seated us immediately and took our food and drinks order promptly. The seating was a bit cramped, but it was a small venue and very busy. Some 30 mins after we'd ordered our food, one of the waiting staff came over and told the two of us that we'd be looking at another 30-45 mins wait for food as there was a large group booked in and the pub only had a very small kitchen. After waiting an hour I chased the food, and it came out of the kitchen at the same time. When the waiter brought the food to the table, he said "Sorry for the small wait." I responded by saying that we'd actually waited an hour, to which he said defensively, yes, we did tell you there'd be a bit of a delay, and we only have a small kitchen (again). I noticed a large group that had arrived about 30 mins after we did got their food immediately after we did - so their wait was clearly less. The food that arrived was worth the long wait. Very fresh, hot, tasty and filling. Some of the best pub food I've had in a while. Small kitchen, big output! When the waiter cleared our plates, he apologised again for, and I quote, "the small wait." This made me wonder - is this typical for this pub? And what would a long wait look like here?? I don't feel they thought this was much of an issue, and clearly they didn't manage my expectations very well. Lucky for us we weren't in a hurry and we could afford to wait the extra hour for food. So a generous 4 out of 5, and it'd be 5 if they could manage expectations better.

A lovely cosy place and the food is really great - beautifully presented and seriously delicious. Lovely staff too.

It’s a really beautiful pub in a great location, with friendly staff but unfortunately the cooking can be a little hit and miss. We have had a couple of fab meals there, but too many average ones.

We had our wedding in the barn & stretch tent area of the Three Horseshoes. We had the most wonderful day! The staff were amazing, the food was PERFECT (our guests have not stopped talking about the food!), and the venue looked beautiful. Thank you all so much. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Great country pub, dog friendly large outdoor space.

Booked up a few weeks in advance for the afternoon of 22nd May 2022. It took them 90 minutes to bring us our meals and that only happened then because one of our party asked where our food was. Most of what we ordered was not available, and the £18 roast was tiny. Two of our party had to share one portion of beef as they had run out, but this was not reflected in our bill. Nice place but rubbish service. Not intending on returning any time soon.

This is the pub you are looking for. The locals clubbed together to beautifully renovate and restore the old village boozer. Great local ales, fantastic food including the best roast lunch in Hampshire, and a ludicrous wine list.

Wonderful atmosphere, great food and plenty of parking.

I so want to love this pub. Nice food and slightly more upmarket than the average pub, however, service feels very rushed and staff behave like they want to turn tables really quickly. Staff on the day seemed a bit rude but probably just rushed. If I didn't live so closeby, I probably wouldn't return.

Fantastic pub, the rural idyll. Proud to call it our local. Food is first rate, staff are always charming, and the cost atmosphere is first rate. Clearly they have spent time and money on making this a great space - top notch interior design, great tented outdoor area. Good selection of ales and lagers - not just the generic. If one was really wanting to find a fault - they could make more of the fantastic beer garden (and give out free drinks).

We had an absolutely delicious lunch on the 5th February at the Three Horseshoes. The atmosphere was cosy and friendly, the service efficient and the food excellent quality. I love your water glasses too! We will definitely be back and have already recommended you to two groups that we belong to who will be coming in the next month or so. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to celebrate my birthday. The pub is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Large wood fire burning brightly as we arrived and certainly needed yesterday. The food was sublime. A good choice of vegetarian options and truly delicious. Everything was superb down to the smallest detail. I have to go again soon. Thank you.

The food was excellent and the staff super friendly. However, if you are concerned with COVID-19 precautions, this isn’t the place for you. Contrary to government guidelines, there was no social distancing maintained between groups of customers, and a request to open a window to provide adequate ventilation was dismissed and denied. That said there is the option to sit outdoors: there is sheltered seating and patio heaters available.

This little gem is what country pubs should aspire to be like: cosy, extremely friendly and great value for money. Highly recommended!!

Great pub, delicious food and fantastic staff. Loads of outside space with shelter and heaters. Lovely local ales available on tap but would benefit from a better lager selection. Well worth a visit, highly recommend.

The outdoor seating for food is OK if you're under cover. We weren't, despite arriving on time and there were tables for 2 under the covered area. The Sunday roast was OK but they had run out of Yorkshire puddings and my pork loin was over cooked and dry. The crackling was inedible. It is a lovely pub with good service but I'm not sure they are quite ready for the numbers of people ordering food.

Amazing pub with a brilliant atmosphere and delicious food! The staff are very helpful and informative! If you're looking for a local pub supporting other local businesses this is the place to go. Definitely recommend - they also have a pub puppy.. what more can you want!

Came on Sunday nice and early....as we knew this would be a busy day for the pub and its best to get there before 3 if you want the best seats outside. Roast was fantastic lovely moist hot pork with amazing crackling and warm Yorkshire puddings which were definitely made fresh. Henry was fantastic getting us seated in the warm barn even though it was busy. Great job three horshoes staff! Carry on with what your doing and how your doing things! We will definitely be back:)

This has become our new favourite pub after The Bell ;) such a beautiful setting and cosy inside. Delicious hearty food all around. Looking forward to the summer garden but it's perfect for the winter with cosy warm fires. Highly recommend!
