Another exceptional visit to the Pots. Quick clearly the staff were highly under pressure today but they were amazingly pofessional. The food was brilliant but as always the beer was phenomenal.

We visited for lunch as a group of 10 to celebrate my dad's birthday. Service was very good and all the food was lovely. Very friendly, pleasant staff. We took our own birthday cake which they were very happy for us to do. Nice menu with plenty of choice including smaller plates.

We called in for the first time as we were staying it in the area. What a fabulous country pub! Obviously very popular, which is so nice to see. Great drinks, great food and great staff. The fish and chips and steak were amazing. We popped back in again and bought some beer from the microbrewery to take home!

Possibly the best pub in the country, visited on Sunday for lunch, arriving early to get a walk in table. Excellent choice of beers, I tried the two new brews, both excellent. Had the venison main, truly superb, service immaculate as always. Perfect!

Overall it was good, however, the service was very slow ( we ordered at 12.40 and didn't get our meals until 13.45). It was busy, with a few large groups, but at no point did anyone mention there was a delay in the kitchen. We had booked so we weren't walk ins. Also, the Aubergine Parmigiana was a very small portion in comparison to the other meals. The jacket potato one of our group had was a bigger meal! It certainly wasn't £14 worth. The fish and chips was apparently very good.

Amazing sea bass supreme, cooked to perfection (Please don't ever take it off the menu)! The pub has such a lovely atmosphere and has the perfect level of background noise for having a cheeky lunch and a "couple" of drinks. The staff all go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure everything is up to standard. Although it can be busy at times, that's only because of how much everyone loves the pub! Please be kind to staff at busy times as they're doing they're clearly doing their best. I'd advise to book as it's so popular.

This used to be a lovely country pub with its associated brewery - but not any more. Been a couple of times over the last year and found it crowded but just about bearable. Arrived for an early pre-booked dinner this time and found the (very large) car park already totally rammed......after just about finding a space to park, entering the pub was like hitting a wall of noise; all tables occupied and nobody showing any interest in speaking to us at the bar. So we left and went somewhere much more pleasnt; dont expect to be hurrying back to the Pots any time soon

Very pretty pub, with scrubbed tables and tasteful decor. Beer not available as were changing barrels. Booked a table for 5 on a Saturday. Welcome not great. All our food came out at different times, at one point 20 minutes. However, the chap who cleared the tables was great. Reasonable prices.

This was a pub that we have been going to since 1973 but will NOT be again!!We are a bunch of friends(7) that meet up to have a Sunday roast and a chat and catch up. My wife booked the table 16 days before and when we got there we had been place in a very drafty place where all the comings and goings were and it was very cold and windy! We found another table but were not allowed to change as it was where the bar Manger had placed us. The food was less than we were led to believe ! cold food for a Roast Sunday Lunch is not on anybodies list of things to do for a fun Sunday. The veg were pre- cooked and warmed up and placed on the side of the plate.Roast potatoes were tasteless Beef tough and pork very very fatty!

I can't reccomend this pub enough. I am a regular drinker. I tried the food last week as a anniversary meal . The staff could not have been more accommodating. Marney, the in shift supervisor made sure our night went without a hitch .Table presentation a 10/10 The customer service from the staff was on point and the food fantastic As mentioned, I am a regular drinker at this pub. There is a great place to sink few. Good quality beer.

Arrived without booking to a late lunch but they had closed the kitchen early. Sensing our disappointment they snuck in a late order and we were rewarded with a delicious pork roast. We tipped the chef as a result as it’s rare to find somewhere so accommodating. Well done the Pots!

This is the first time I’ve been to The Flower Pots Inn & Brewery on recommendation from another member of the Family & I must say it was well worth it. The staff were young people & they were brilliant, we were very well looked after, they were attentive without being over the top. Even when we asked for of pot of tea outside they were only too pleased to be of assistance. The food was excellent very well presented, properly cooked & plenty of it & even better it wasn’t expensive. I would recommend The Flower Pots Inn & Brewery anytime & I look forward to visiting again.

Very disappointing lunch menu again. Everybody seemed to be ordering ham, eggs and chips due to the lack of popular alternatives. Much preferred the lunch menu when the previous owners had the pub. Had a pint and went off to the nearby Tichborne Arms and has a fabulous lunch.

Over the past year, I have been several times to The Flower Pots. Have enjoyed each visit a lot. It's a really great pub, full of character. Of course, the whole experience is enhanced by the fact they brew their own excellent beer. Not only is the beer very good, but it is also extremely reasonably priced. Staff are very welcoming too. All in all, a super place.

We stopped off here for a Sunday Roast and wasn’t disappointed. Service was good and friendly even with it being a really busy day, tried some home brew which was a nice refreshing change and the food was good. A nice pub in a nice quiet area and definitely worth a visit.

Really excellent visit, as you might expect from a brewery pub the beer is top drawer, served from the barrel. Food choices are varied and good value. We had the Sirloin steak and the warm asparagus salad

We have been here before and really enjoyed the ambiance and food - on that occasion another table tried to add their drinks to our tab!! Our Sunday lunch was booked to catch up with friends and we had a table booked inside. The tables were so cramped and the small bar where food & drink had to be ordered was overwhelmed with queues quickly forming. We had to wait over an hour for our main course - nowhere near enough staff when the garden was so busy and there was a function in the Barn. So many dogs in the restaurant/bar area - not on when you aren’t a dog lover, particularly when they jump and bark at other dogs. I recently booked at a restaurant where they actually asked if we intended bringing dogs - very forward thinking. Food was good when it arrived but we were so cramped for space and we are not large people!!! We lost the will to order dessert and quickly left - having spent over two hours eating just a main course. Seating needs to be adjusted. We won’t visit again in a hurry and will pass on comments to many locals who we know.

The most amazing Roast Beef ! All the trimmings !!! And desserts to die for !! The theatrical Flowerpots chocolate pot was just divine !! And the best dessert I have probably ever tasted !!!! The pannacotta was also divine … creamy with the vanilla pods bursting through the rhubarb !!! All in all a wonderful lunch and staff and food both excellent !!!!

This is a lovely place with character and charm. The service was really good and it is nice to have proper, unique home-made food, rather than conveyer belt food (like The Harvester and Beefeater). I am hoping to return within the next month with the friends who recommended this restaurant in the first place.

Sunday lunch, excellent food, tender hand carved roast beef, with all the trimmings. As good as I have had anywhere in UK, and very generous portions. Home brewed ale, very good, and friendly staff, and Simon the “Guvnor”

Great location & great locally brewed beer and good friendly service, but awful food. Ham, egg & chips, can't go wrong? You can when wet prepacked ham is served with frozen chips. I'm afraid this wasn't an off day as my friends had been there last year with similar results . However if you want a lovely pint on a balmy sunny evening you probably can't find a better pub.

Yes, I judged this book by its cover. After many drives past to its local competition I failed to see beyond the street front. What got me? The name, the drive entrance, who knows? Finally through word of mouth, we ventured to The Potts. Firstly, this long standing Brewery & Pub has grounds to support hundreds not only for events, but also local foodie nights. The bar is racked galore with their seasonal beers. One meal and I was hooked. This clever Team have nailed a weekly rotation of pub grub hits, with a mixed Team of upcoming & advanced Chefs, as well as long standing recognised pastry “Chief" that pump out dishes as fresh as their 5.30pm Friday printed menus - yep nice touch guys. I don't know that we would call the acting front of house- 'a front of house', he remembers every single face that moves through this establishment, like a business owner but there is a twist, he welcomes all feedback, insights and recommendations to keep his experts on their toes. You call out anything, they will literally flip a dish and make it top notch week on week. Running staff are very clued up, they are fast, efficient, know the menu and most importantly speak up and take interest. The event space is a wedding venue hit, totally gorgeous and private. This 'little from the street front' has 3 car parks and it's no surprise because 'they are full people, they are full!' Offering 3 bars, 4 dining areas indoors, a huge event space and lots of outdoor benches, this is an all year round favourite and the prices and vibe has kept me coming back.

Oh how I love independent pubs which are true to their origins. Fantastic beer and good, honest homemade food at reasonable prices. There is no wonder why on a Saturday lunchtime almost every table is taken by 12:30! Nice one and keep up the great standards 👏

Popped in on a Wednesday evening while in the area. hadn't realised that it was their Thai Curry night and it was pretty busy. Nevertheless we got a table in the new barn without a reservation and had a lovely meal. This pub has invested a lot since new ownership and you can actually get served when busy and the food is great. The beer brewed on site is great.

Really disappointed, after eating here before and promoting this pub to many people, it's like unbelievable waited forever, and I am the most patient person but after nearly 2 hours the food came out and my steak was inedible, very disappointed, even though they didn't charge for the five mains it didn't change the fact I was very hungry so had to go to another local pub to eat which was Very nice, its such a shame as we all want are local pubs to be successful, on the plus side the beer was very nice, conclusion _ total balls up, but will try again in a few month's.

Been here 3 times and the first couple of times felt like we'd done something wrong. The pub is charming and the beer is good so why feel dusconcerted by our visit? Third time all in the party of 4 were briefed to be on best behaviour. No its not us its just the obnoxious landlord that leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I'd heard it had changed hands a year ago, and went based on new recommendation. So, we'd gone in there just after Christmas with family and it looked welcoming enough with decor made up, but needed to keep our coats on for a while until the bar area warmed up as the fire went out, with an empty log shack. Quickly became a full house, however, staff were attentive, and only 20 mins wait for food. I had a nut roast, with all the trimmings, and we were all happy with our meals, all very nicely cooked. Tip- if you go for a sunday roast or around bank holls, book well in advance. New Update - The manager has recently left to reventure into another local pub, taking his chef with him, so it is probably under interim management.

Tried to use my Blue Light Card to receive the discount that Costa advertise on their website to be told they don’t accept it because they are a franchise. Costa as a organisation sign up to the Blue Light card to offer discount to members of the emergency services but yet COSTA here don’t accept it? Wont bother visiting again.

Lovely pub! Interior is so rustic and pretty. We came here after an afternoon hike and the prices are average. Fish and chips was delicious and loved the tartar sauce and the mint mix in the peas!
