This cafe is situated just off the beaten track in Llantwit Major . The coffee is consitently good and the cakes are fresh. Try the peanut butter and jam blondie! They have a couple of tables outside although Covid measures are taken inside.

What a super, family-run, friendly cafe. I often walk in from Llanmaes and have a tea, or coffee and the welcome is unparalleled. The art gallery is an excellent addition and the home-made cakes are excellent. Just a perfect little cafe! 5 stars every day of the week!

Great choice of breakfast options. Full,wrap,bap,muffin or flatbread. Muffin is a must try hmmmm hmmmmm but all good prices and all day availability too!!

The customer service is second to none.their ice cream is delicious. Their bacon butties have to be tasted to be believed. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably price. Strongly recommend

Situated by Llantwit Major station Piccolo blu is the place to go for coffee and scrummy cakes with some lovely conversation thrown in. Lucy who runs PB absolutely knows her stuff and it is a joy to come to her place for a coffee or three, ever willing always smiling . And even the dogs can have a puppacino (no coffee in sight of course) Diolch Lucy x

We’ve come here to meet Santa today with our seven year old. This is hands down the very best Santa experiences we’ve ever had. The amount of one to one time our child got to spend with Santa was excellent. There was a fun puzzle to work out the password to get into Santa’s cabin and we even made reindeer food. Not only was the Santa experience we also stopped by the tea room which is superb. Friendly staff, lovely food and very fair prices. We will definitely be visiting again soon

Was pretty excited to come here after seeing so many great reviews. Food was nice, the mains were gorgeous. Chef is lovely and asked how we found the food, clearly is very talented. The brownie dessert was heated up but possibly too long as it was quite chewy and tough suggesting it’s been over heated. Let down by the service front of house sadly, didn’t feel very welcomed or very friendly and I felt uncomfortable at times. Not sure if it was just an ‘off’ night.

Great breakfast and very reasonable price

Delicious Easter Sunday lunch here today. Two beef, two lamb mrals and a special chicken nuggets, not on menu, to accomodate fussy 7 year old. Proper portion siizes, beautiful meat and fresh veg, extra portion at no extra cost, service, staff very kind and helpful. Thank you to all at Blacksmiths Arms. it was a meal thoroughly enjoyed by all. We will be back and would highly recommend.

What a fab meal. Pizza was great. Olives yum!! Nothing to say but thank you for a lovely meal :-)) Will be back to enjoy more of the menu !

I first came to this take away over 25 years ago when I moved into the area. It is always good, with tasty food. Highly recommened.

Charming old pub in the centre of the village. We entered just after opening and had to wait 5 mins before anyone noticed us. After that, service was great! Ordered the Hart burger + chilli beef and Loaded nachos, portion size was good and didn't have to wait too long, Chilli was a bit underwhelming and under-seasoned, burger meat was good, not enough salad though. Chips were nice as well as the homemade coleslaw.

Great food. Take away only. Need to pay with cash. Very quick service.
