Rogers Takeaway in The Vale of Glamorgan

The food is delicious! The best lemon chicken I have ever had. The rice with egg and the barbecue noodles with duck are also very tasty. The staff is very nice and the service is super fast. If you like Asian food, don't hesitate to try Rogers!

We have been using Rogers for years now, always has been consistently lush food. We all have our favourites but I must say that the salt and chilli chips well done/crispy are absolutely STUNNING. best we've ever eaten, and we have eaten all around the world. highly recommended if you enjoy Cantonese/Chinese food. Best grub about.

Easily the best Chinese takeaway not only in Llantwit, but that I've ever had personally. The food is incredibly tasty, the delivery is usually extremely quick, and the service is wonderful with a personal touch! I always recommend a Rodgers when friends and family come to visit. A hidden gem on the menu is the salt and chilli chips!

Take away for collection. Food was ready on time, staff were polite. Meal was good.

Absolutely love Rogers, my favourite Chinese in the whole of the Vale he cooks my crispy beef just how I want it, no veg 😂 He’s always so friendly on the phone really efficient with his automated system that tells him your name what you ordered before and the food is always excellent .

Just picked up another delightful meal from this lovely Takeaway. During the Covid Lockdown Roger’s and the other Takeaway Outlets and Chippies in Llantwit Major helped us all to keep in touch with “Life” as it was and God Bless them for it. This evening the Boss apologised for an increase in the cost of our meal. Quite honestly I don’t know how they have been able to keep their prices at the same level since February 2022. What a pity the Vale Council, the Utilities, and the Oil Companies couldn’t follow their example with such a modest increase. Keep up the good work Roger’s, we will be back. Doh Jay Si!

Gave me the wrong meal again. There is always some confusion with Rogers over my order. I wondered whether the guy is deaf or doesn't understand English well enough, but I've realised he's just flaky and I can't be bothered with it anymore. It's always an ordeal. I'm going back to Mayfar. Never any hassle there.

Always fresh and delicious, the owner is very friendly and helpful of you're not entirely sure what you what he will give great suggestions to go with what you already have. Also if you go to collect, you can actually watch them cook your meal as their kitchen is open plan so there is nothing to hide!!

In the area as attending family wedding. Researched and messaged Roger's. Very quick in replying. Ordered the meal with delivery. Food was piping hot and everyone enjoyed their meal. Curry was the best I've had. Won't go wrong if you try them!!!!😋👍

Have used Rogers for years. Consistently high quality, all freshly cooked and piping hot. The kitchen is open and viewable behind the counter, no where to hide! We’ve had Chinese takeaways around the world, including Hong Kong, but Rogers is up there with the best.

Been here a couple of times now and the food has been really nice. Always warm, large portions and fairly priced. Have tried a few other local chinese takeaways and this has been my favourite so far. Only thing that would make it better is if they offered delivery.

Busy little takeaway with traditional Chinese food, good service and social distance measures in place. The food was standard Chinese cooked right in front of you! I have used this restaurant and had some excellent food over the years. But avoid Saturday and don't expect anything special for the price. Maybe I should try a week Day?

Having just moved to Llantwit major we decided to try Rogers for a takeaway. Well it was great. Spot on delivery of piping hot tasty food and at a great price. This will now be our go to takeaway.

Have used Rogers takeaway for many years now. The quality of their food is excellent, always piping hot and quick delivery. A great menu to choose from although I tend to stick to my usual no.58 or 59 which I enjoy very much. The owner is always pleasant and polite on the phone. I recommend this takeaway highly.

I have to admit this takeaway is far by the best Chinese take away I have ever been to they served me the food with ever such kindness and they even gave me some free prawn crackers which were delicious very cheap and great service I ordered a 56.00 meal which was done in half an hour very quick😃

Haven't been in this Chinese takeaway for a long time, the food was nice and the counter chap was friendly. The only thing puts me off is the rubbish at the back. You have to walk past this to got to the takeway. It's not me being pickey but clear it away. They have an open kitchen so you can watch your food being made👍but just clean the back. Would I recommend this YES.

Had the Vegetarian set meal for two. Gone down to £15 from £16.40 but not worth the money. Most of the food is now bulked out with rice, crackers and pancake rolls, all cheap produce. Seaweed dish far too sweet and salty. Small portions never enough for two people with only one main beancurd dish. Average at best. Hygiene rating gone up to 4.

Really nice food and good delivery service. Never had a bad meal from there. The set dinners are really good value with big portions. We always go a size down on them, i.e, if there are 4 of us, we get a meal for 3 people and there is always food left over.

Absolute shambles!! NEVER EVER ORDER FROM ROGERS! After waiting 1 hour and 20minutes for food to be delivered, which was never delivered. Rang up to be told sorry it’ll be another 2 hours! Absolute JOKE.

ive only recently started eating at this Chinese and I have to say it is lush crispy shredded chicken, Singapore noodles and rice are by far my favourite but im intrigued to try all of there other foods as I found it so nice! Only downfall I like spicy curry sauce and for me its not spicy enough (personal preference) wuld defo recommend eating here!!

We have had a few takeaway meals but it's hit and miss unfortunately. The parking is great but you have to park next to there bin area which is a bit smelly. That puts you off, the counter is small and you have to stand out side if there are more that 5 people.There are better takeaways to be truthful.

The best Chinese I’ve ever had. Delivered to Llandow campsite where we were staying and delivery was earlier than stated.

Ordered from this Chinese close to closing, 4 chicken ball tray meals and 2 sides of chips. We paid cash on arrival, only to find out that they’d forgotten the 2 chips we’d ordered. Tried calling both the shop and the delivery driver to no answer, we now have 2 very hungry people who are left without food. So we paid too much for what we had and will definitely call back tomorrow to complain.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the area. The menu is huge with plenty of choice including a decent enough vegetarian selection. Basically if you want Chinese food you will find it here. It's freshly cooked and tasty and the prices seem comparable to other Chinese takeaways. You can phone through an order to collect at the shop, have your food delivered or just go into the takeaway and wait. If you do need to wait at the end of a long day then there is a seating area to save your tired legs. The staff are great and as the kitchen area is directly behind the counter you can see all the food being masterfully prepared as you wait. The food is given to you in plastic tubs with lids which are useful to keep for future use or can be put in the recycling bin and a large enough order will even get you some rather large and tasty prawn crackers. I have been using Rogers for many years and have only once arrived home to find an order incomplete. When that did happen they immediately dispatched the missing dish and delivered right to our door which is great service. The only thing to be aware of is that they only take cash, so a trip to the cashpoint is a must before going to the shop! Writing this review has made me hungry, now where is that Rogers menu?

The food at Rogers is cooked in front of you, they have a very quick service, found the food very tasty and not greasy as some places are.

I love the take away from here it’s the best. I have never had a bad meal. They sometimes get my order slightly wrong but will always correct it if you ask. I recommend if you like Chinese food. Yumm.

Had a take out to night, it cost 50 pounds for four people ,not cheap,very bland flavourless food from this place.Salty ,dry ,very disappointed.My husband took a bag full of food that had been opened and sampled,obviously it had to be tasted ,he had a stand off with the staff,because some of the food had been tried,so my husband walked because they questioned his integraty.No refund no customer satisfaction .

Tasty food with quick and freindly service

Just had a lovely meal delivered, food was fresh and piping hot .this is the second time we have ordered from rogers takeaway while we are caravanning down happy jakes campsite ,and both times they have been lovely .

Never order from there the food huge in was so bad the health service or what ever said if it did not go above they would force them to shut it down but has just gone up to 2.Never But!

Nice takeaway, freshly cooked. Always busy so give it a good twenty minutes to half hour wait, especially on weekends. Quite an eclectic menu, especially if you are Vegetarian, which I am. Beancurd dishes cooked and presented especially well.

Rogers is a small Chinese Takeaway in the Pound Field shopping precinct in Llantwit Major. There is another Chinese takeaway on the main street but this is not Rogers. You have to search in the precinct behind the high street to find Rogers and it is well worth finding. It is very well situated for the Pound Field car park opposite the train and bus station.I have been using this takeaway for over 5 years and although the staff have changed the food has always been consistently excellent. If you order a fiery dish be aware they do not hold back on the spices! The ingredients are fresh, the meat is very good and they are quick. The young ladies who take your order and serve you greet you with a smile and courtesy and their English is good. No Welsh I'm afraid but you can have Cantonese if you wish!
