This is me and my partners favourite Chinese in the area or anywhere in fact. The food is always so fresh and delicious. The portions are fab and the service is amazing. It’s also a very quick service even when they are super busy. I will never go anywhere else!!!

Great food however the delivery times are hit and miss can be 1 to 2 hours on occasions !

Worse, young chow fried rice we have ever tasted Bland ,taste less and find the meat also l had a bone in it We binned it Only went here as all other Chinese takeaways closed on Monday

My friends and I regularly order meals from Wishful House. Deliveries are always on time and the food is consistently good: tasty; well-cooked; and piping hot. We recommend WH to anyone who's looking for a Chinese Takeaway. Certainly the best in Penarth.

This is without a doubt the best Chinese takeaway in Penarth (and probably Cardiff). The food is consistently excellent, the staff are lovely, and great value. Some of the best damn prawn toast I've eaten, and its great to order over the phone old school style.

Food ok.. the sauce is awful only one is half decent is the garlic & chilli sauce.. prices have recently shot up and portion sizes have decreased. Staff very rude. Won't be using this place again.

Tasty perfect dishes, excellent customer service and very accomodating to requests for more sauce etc. Sweet and sour chicken balls and great value for money. Loads of balls, soft chicken on the inside and crispy crunchy on the outside

Compliments to the Chef at wishful house last night the Salt and Chilli prawns were the best ever! Light and fluffy batter, delicious king prawns. Fingers crossed they’re as lovely next time.

This has to be the best Chinese takeaway in Penarth, the special fried rice tastes amazing and my partner has the chicken chow mein with garlic sauce which she really enjoyed as well. I would highly recommend this place.

Really disappointed with the two meals we ordered, chicken with ginger and spring onion and satay prawns. Both dishes were packed full of undercooked onions, very little veg and even those were undercooked. Chicken and prawns were cooked nicely and sauces were tasty but both dishes were spoiled by the undercooked onions. More veg and fewer onions needed.

Not usually a fan of Chinese Takeaway but this is delicious. Definitely would recommend. Cash only. However, cash machine outside if collecting so not really a problem unless you want delivery.

Not great. Chicken meat was dry. Crispy duck was burnt one side fatty the other. All of the dishes tasted off. Most of the food went into the bin.

Great food and outstanding service

Phoned on a Monday night for a simple Chicken Satay and chips at 7pm. Was told half hour wait. Had to chase at 8pm as it still hadn’t arrived. Was told some story about traffic in Dinas Powys but they would be there in 10 minutes. 8.40pm tried phoning through again with no answer. Drove down and it was all locked up. Ended up going to the chippy opposite for a much nicer meal. Don’t bother and don’t believe what they say on the phone. Better options available in the town and much better service.

Excellent food- very friendly - with current coronavirus you have to phone through orders..you can have it delivered or lady taking orders will gove you a ring when it is ready. Chinese can be quite greasy but this take away is definitely not greasy. Delicious food - will definitely go back. Could do with putting menu on-line

Best food in the world each mouthful was exceptional it felt amazing I couldn't ask for such a delicate and tasteful water.

Had crispy beef sweet Thai chilli, Hoi sin spare ribs & special fried rice. Been waiting for months to try as opening hours restricted. Very disappointed. Crispy beef soggy & unable to tell if sweet Thai chilli involved, ribs smelled strongly of a not very pleasant smell & fried rice mostly rice without sauce containing a few shrimps that didn't taste of much other than an impression they were frozen! Had specifically wanted to try this place due to previous good reviews, but possibly the worst chines meal I've had!

Great food and tastes very fresh and clean

We hadn't been here for a while, but we decided to try it again. We phoned through our order and asked if they accepted cards. We are sure they said yes. When we went to collect our meal, there was a sign on the wall saying that they didn't. Too late! They advised us to go to some machine up the road, which we do not use. We scraped together the cash (not easy when your bank's moved to Cardiff). We also would have expected free prawn crackers on a meal costing over £27, but they said it had to be over £30. The food was O.K., but we had a bad taste in our mouths. Never again.

Very busy but really good fresh cooked food

Nice little friendly Chinese takeaway. The food was hot, fresh and authentic.. The staff are friendly. There is a large Cantonese menu. At busy times you can wait for thirty minutes or more but you can phone and pre book your order and collect. Parking is quite difficult as it situated on a main road and there are only limited parking spaces across the road from the take away.

After a break because the food had got disappointing, we decided to give wishful house another try. glad we did .it is really very good .don't know if they have a new chef, must ask when I order next but it's amazingly zingy and fresh.very authentic tasting.we are happy to support wishful house. 5 stars all the way ☆☆☆☆☆

Use this place most weekends. Food consistently good. Very busy so phone early. Amazing food. Every dish we have ordered always so tasty. Gutted when they go on holiday.

Of all the Chinese takeaways I have tried all over the World these are by far the best. Really tasty and fresh food, so fresh once it's gone it's gone and they often close early as sold out. They also have a 5star hygiene rating. They only take cash.

The food is consistantly excellent, and home delivery service is always prompt so food remains hot. Always disappointed if they're closed and we have to go somewhere else.

Si quieres grasos grasiento, comida china, este es el lugar. He estado utilizando les gustaría casa por años. . Probablemente para mucho. Very Good - we find this to be the best Chinese takeaway in Penarth. Sweet and Sour Pork, Egg Fried Rice, and Pork Chow Mein. Spring Rolls particularly good.

By far the best chinese in Penarth and possibly the vale of Glamorgan. Very fresh and clean tasty food, no horrible salty after taste like the others in the area. Stunning fluffy rice .... And we love the spicy garlic sauce! Great customer service and great prices.

Excellent Chinese, rated 5 for food hygiene. I would say it's the most authentic in Penarth. It's great the the food is not greasy too, as other take-aways in Penarth have been rather greasy. Great service and reasonably/well priced.

Food always fresh not greasy as some can be delivery available and very punctual,Singapore rice noodles excellent as are the salt and chilli ribs.

Its fair to say ive had my fair share of take aways!We are lucky enough to have quite a few really good take aways but this one is the best. The quality of the food is great. They deliver promptly and are very good value.ill be using these many times more!!

The wishful house has to be the best place I have ever had take out from. Luckily I live close to them and have not stopped using them for over a yr.They are always helpful and friendly on the phone and always more than happy to accommodate and tweak their dishes to suit personal tastes. Their food is always very good, fresh, full of flavour and never skimp on the portions.I wouldn't get a Chinese takeout from anywhere else as it's just not the same, these guys know what they are doing and they do it very well.

Not a regular for takeaways but our daughter fancied Chinese so we had a bit of a selection from the menu. Have to say it was very good! May very well venture there again!
