Wine Street Coffee in The Vale of Glamorgan

This cafe is situated just off the beaten track in Llantwit Major . The coffee is consitently good and the cakes are fresh. Try the peanut butter and jam blondie! They have a couple of tables outside although Covid measures are taken inside.

A perfect place for a mid-walk pitstop. The service was friendly and welcoming as always. The tropical smoothie was very refreshing and the peanut butter pancakes were immense. Great work Zoe and team!

Coffee is lovely. You can also order the ground or whole bean coffee they use in the shop. There are always very tasty treats available that are made locally. Coffee is consistently made well which is a big difference when comparing it to well-known brands. Nice place to do a little bit of work as they have wifi. Excellent coronation chicken sandwiches! Staff are always friendly and are amazing with my 3 year old!

Excellent service. In order to show how good this company is, you need a background to the position I personally was in. During the 2020 Cv19 pandemic, I was a mum on the edge having to keep my poorly 3 year old in the house for 14 days! Then, this company literally saved my life with coffee. I messaged them direct on Instagram asking if they could help me, was there anyway of paying for a nice, fresh, strong coffee and picking it up from a safe distance. Yes! Yes, there was. The owner got back to me straight away, what coffee did I want and what time did I want to collect. If that isn't excellent service, I don't know what is. I arranged payment via bank transfer and collected my hot, fresh coffee at bang on 10am from a safe distance. This independent, local coffee company saved my sanity in a time of stress and worry and I honestly cannot thank them enough. Not only that, the coffee was delicious and the service, well like I say EXCELLENT.

Visited on a bitterly cold day in early December. We had been house hunting and now found our new home just around the corner from the coffee shop. This will definitely become a regular hang out for us when we move in. The staff were welcoming, coffee was great and a reasonable price. The customers were a nice mix of locals and visitors. The coffee shop is just off Llantwit's famous old world triangle. So good to see an independent coffee shop providing a great service

I had an iced latte outside with my friends and when almost finishing I realised there was a small maggot-like bug in my drink. When approaching the staff to make them aware of what I found, me and my friends felt more or less laughed at, belittled and turned away. Firstly, we were told by one member of staff it was ice and when looking closer we were told it was a caterpillar (this does NOT make the situation any better!) Secondly, we were told this must of fell from a tree that was above us and we wouldn’t have noticed due to the fact “we were talking”. Then however when going back to our seats after being rudely turned away, we realised there was no tree above us, therefore it must have come from within the cafe. We also questioned that, if we were adults, would we have received better service? This saddens me as my friends and I are regular customers of Wine Street and have had nothing but good things to say about it, but unfortunately we now feel that, due to the poor service we received when complaining, we cannot go back.

Visited with my elderly mother and had a friendly welcome. The cappuccino was excellent with a strong coffee taste and the banana cake was lovely. Hard to fault in any way.

I have been here twice only, yet feel as if I am amongst friends, the cake is wonderful, service just right, happy little cafe

Visited today and was very impressed. The coffee shop has a relaxed feel to it and the service, friendliness of the staff and the food were all amazing - would definitely recommend and will visit again

Lovely atmosphere. Coffee made just how you like it. We had coronation chicken sandwiches, with coleslaw and crisps on the side. Coronation chicken, was really nice. Lovely & clean inside. Staff very friendly, & most welcoming.

My boyfriend and i stoped off here on a rainy cold day and I just needed somewhere cosy with a friendly face to have a cup of tea! And my gosh did we find just that! The decor is amazing! Along with the food, tea/coffee and the staff! We sat in a cute little window seat at the front o the cafe and had pea and mint soup! It was gorgeous! and good sized portions too! The two ladies were very polite and gave a great service! They make you feel like you're completely at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone! I could have stayed there all day!

Love this place fresh food done just how I like it ... as I’m fussy. Coffee is the best I have had and again always tailored to exactly how I like it. I visit here weekly and sometimes daily

Good coffee, lovely food and a warm welcome. What’s not to like? Dog friendly too which is a big bonus.

We were looking for somewhere to just grab a quick cuppa & have a slice of cake but we had our dogs with us & it was too warm to leave them in the car. We called at another coffee shop but they were closing but they recommended Wine Street & what a wise choice!

Nice little cafe off the track, it's clean and the staff were nice when I went for a coffee. Very quiet.

Staff are great, they make a great coffee and the food superb. Not that much room but very cozy. Parking is possible but the road is a bit narrow, however there is a good free public car park within a short distance.

Great coffee and a relaxed atmosphere with good prices. Also has a qwerky feel with decor and seating.

This is an absolute gem of a coffee shop. The coffee and cake are truly exceptional. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good flat white. The service is wonderful, lovely decor and is terrific value for money. I couldn’t recommend Wine street Coffee highly enough - the people of Llandwit are truly blessed.

Haven’t been here for a while. We were dissapointed although there are more tables which are good but they’re poor quality tables, you can no longer have a sandwich or soup, all they do is cakes or variouse toast, as i’m diabetic i cannot eat cake. They also did Bahji scot h egg & chutney. The coffe was excellent and it’s the only caffe in Llantwit that you can take your dog. Would not let me click on srvi e which was excellant, food poor not enough selection, Value expensive for the size of cake

Great little coffee shop with homemade cakes and sandwiches, always a pleasure to sit and watch the world go by and the owners and the staff are great!

Forget Starbucks and Costa, this coffee shop is hands down the best around!

We are very fussy , possibly OCD about our coffee . Costa just can't make a flat white any more , Neros is bitter ... but the coffee here is a triumph . Beautiful velvety flat white and foamy cappuccinos - these ladies certainly match the top Baristas and every cup is the same as the last . Lovely ambience , sometimes quiet , sometimes bustling depending on the time of day and llantwit town is quaint and we locals take that for granted . Add to that Lily the Bichon is Made welcome then we are most definitely converted and no longer slaves to the chains in Cowbridge - Cakes are sublime and the staff are friendly and smiley . A winning combination !

My friends and I have visited this adorable little coffee shop multiple times now when we visit this town and we can't get enough of it! From the yummy cakes, adorable drinks that both look and taste great, to the nicely displayed artwork that cafe embodies a great vibe for those looking for a good coffee shop! Staff are always friendly. Honestly can't get over this adorable place and would/have recommend to friends!

Popped in on Saturday as we had heard marvellous things about this place! Glad to find out it was all true!! Lovely latte, possibly one of the best I have tasted, fresh tasty sandwiches and a huge piece of coffee and walnut cake! Fab! Friendly efficient staff and a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, we will return!

Dropped in here for an early morning coffee and it was lovely. Great location, a nice coffee shop which does what it says on the tin. Cakes looked great as did the toast! Really friendly and a lovely setting.

Our gang of eight wrinklies go for coffee and a chat on Saturday mornings. I have to say that the girls who run this delightful little place are so pleasant and courteous and make you feel really welcome. My friends tell me that their coffee is excellent, but I always have a cup of their hot chocolate which is always perfectly served and comes with with additional treats. The best place in town for a drink or snack without a doubt!

Wine Street Coffee is a great place to relax and enjoy good company and excellent coffee. There is always a warm welcome when you arrive, and a great atmosphere in which to enjoy your coffee, and maybe some cake. The karma board is a nice touch, and lets you pay for coffee for a friend to enjoy next time they are in. A tempting place to have within walking distance of home!and a great place to take friends.

What can you say? Lovely coffee, friendly staff.... quaint setting... does it get any better! The staff are so knowledgeable about coffees, ask them about what they used compared to the mainstream outlets. Great place

i have travelled from Timbuktu to Tenby looking for a great coffee (being a bit of a coffee connersur ) and i stumbled on the BEST COFFEE i have ever tasted in a quaint little village in Wine Street Llantwit Major , not only was the coffee absolutley gorgeous,

This is a very bold statement but I believe I had the best toasted sandwich I've ever tasted at the Wine Street Cafe earlier today.

Super little cafe of a style that is rare now. The menu is cleverly not over complicated but beautifully in keeping with the style of the coffee shop. The proprietor and staff are very obliging and helpful making your visit most enjoyable. When my colleagues and I meet up it is always here and we would have no hesitation in recommending "WINE STREET COFFEE".

Visiting Llantwit for a couple of days and popped in for a coffee and sandwich. Both were great. The toasted ham and cheese & tuna melt were absolutely delicous. Service and welcome was also superb. Definitely worth a visit.

This tucked away, but well worth seeking out, establishment, has everything you want in a good coffee shop, including outstanding coffee (I especially like the Flat White), a great selection of home made cakes and pastries, friendly and efficient service, an attractive and comfortable environment, wifi and a daily paper.

There is a warm welcome for everyone at Wine Street Coffee. Lucy and her staff are always smiling and go out of their way to ensure myself and my colleague ( and he can be really fussy ) enjoy our coffee. Whether he wants it extra hot, just one shot, decaf or with extra hot milk on the side, they just smile and deliver.

Have visited WSC a few times, definitely the best coffee in the Vale with superb cakes baked by Mel in the town. Lucy is an excellent host and a warm welcome awaits. Fantastic.

My brother joined me at Wine Street Coffee for his first visit and was very impressed. The latte we had was very tasty. He said he would tell his friends the location and would bring his partner and her mother for a treat as soon as possible.

This is a tiny little coffee shop but packed with goodies . The coffee is superb and served in overly black crockery.

I guess I may be bias, but the coffee here is superb... I favour a black Americano with an extra shot. Yes three shots!! Congratulations on two years of making the best coffee.

I often frequented Wine Street coffee until I relocated. The coffee is superb, and made with passion. The homemade cakes are to die for, the gluten free bakewell cake is an absolute must, as are their homemade scotch eggs! Plenty of comfy chairs and high chairs, books and toys for little ones. Free wifi and a fantastic atmosphere :D

This is a charming and engaging little coffee shop. Firstly, the coffee is gorgeous.........far better than any where like Costa or Starbucks. There are super cakes, and a good menu of light bites. Wine Street Coffee has delightful staff, is utterly wholesome, and nicely furnished so you are seated on comfy chairs, plus there is a pleasant welcoming atmosphere.

I love the welcome we always get when we go to this wonderful coffee shop. A capuccino is only the best in my opinion when topped with a dusting of cinamon..they make the perfect coffee here! The food is equally as lovely! You will be sure of a wonderful visit here...especially if you are lucky to get the window seat on a sunny afternoon...wonderful . Dan and Helen

Fabulous place for a great coffee and a catch up. Went on Saturday and had a brie and cranberry toasty (delicious) and a stilton pate with toast and salad. The salad was fresh and interesting and the chutney complimented the stilton pate perfectly. Service with a smile, nothing too much trouble. Lucky Llantwit, a real gem!

Food is excellent and includes good vegetarian options which is always a bonus. Friendly atmosphere and friendly staff.

This coffee shop serves great coffee and tasty food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Particularly love the toast and honey for breakfast with a flat white. Owners Lucy and Simon really make you feel welcome and I always look forward to spending time there.

Best coffee place in llantwit. Always have soya milk in stock. Coffe is never too hot so you can actually drink it straight away. Cakes taste like heaven. Sandwiches made fresh and no hassle for staff when you ask for things done I a particular way or have special dietary requirements.

Just moved to Llantwit Major and missing my Warwick coffee when we found Wine Street Cafe. Very fussy about my coffee/coffee shops so delighted to have found this one. Fab coffee, lovely interesting food and relaxed atmosphere. What's more, the lovely owners are our neighbours!

On Thursday I finally made the time to pop into this little gem of a cafe with my mother for a bite to eat. My mum said it was lovely inside and she is right, it is cosy and inviting. The food was scrummy and a generous portion, will be back soon.

I love this place! Great service, delicious cakes and lunches. The Rocky Road to Persia to definitely worth a try of you are lucky enough to get some before it runs out. Rocky Road with pistachios and Turkish delight - amazing!

Lovely, friendly welcome. Very comfortable seating. Vegetarian menu, something a bit different, we had Indian Summer Pie and Onion Bhaji scotch egg. Delicious. Very, very good coffee. Didn't try the cakes but they looked very yummy.
