The best restaurants serving Default food in Folkestone Harvey Central Shepway South East

Fantastic service, delicious food & great atmosphere. We booked last minute as a family, the restaurant was full but the staff made room for us last minute. My husband and two sons are Coeliac so require gluten free options, there are plenty!!! My eldest son had a T-bone steak which was cooked perfectly, my husband had chicken souvlaki which was delicious! Our youngest son is also autistic so has some sensory issues around sauces. Staff listened and were very accommodating, his meal came perfectly as we had asked for and nothing was too much trouble. He really enjoyed his chicken souvlaki with no sauces or dressings. The only criticism I have is that we were told the chips were gluten free and a bowl were brought to our table. A member of staff realised the mistake and quickly came to take them away and replaced with some sautéed potato’s. Our eldest son did eat a few of the chips before they realised their mistake but luckily he was not ill. This does not affect our view of this brilliant restaurant and we would come back again. We had a great time!

Good selection of beers and very well priced. Staff were friendly and polite and the tap room had a nice relaxed feel and good music. If your in Folkstone and fancy a beer come check this place out.

We have enjoyed 16 years of consistently fresh and flavourful pan Asian cuisine. Where else would we choose for our mid-week anniversary treat.

The team at Papa’s very friendly. Fried cod was out of freezer, specific taste. The grilled one was dried out. Fries were ok. Tea was served with milk without prior question about it.

Djangos has the best food in town. Ang the 👨‍🍳 chef is such an amazing cook. I've been going there since the beginning; to many years to mention! The food just keeps getting better +better. The staff are so professional and friendly; even the small one.lol. Sorry Lynzzz! So if your ever in Folkestone look Djangos up; you won't be disappointed. Thanks to the team.x

We stopped to get some food before catching our train. Fresh cod and good portion of chips. Just what we needed after a long walk.

Had a lovely meal here, starters were a little overcooked (Calamari and Halloumi) but main was wonderful, the Shayda Special, selection of meats on a bed of rice and bulgar wheat plus salad. Was so good. The waitress was so lovely and friendly/welcoming and after we had eaten the chef/owner I presume, came out to ask if we had enjoyed our meal, which was lovely.

Food is nice but the blonde lady with the tattoos is always so unnecessarily rude. Second time she’s dumped my food in my hand without saying anything. Let’s the place down massively

This place is absolutely brilliant. Like a wall back to 1975. A proper cafe not a samey chainy. Lovely people and similarly friendly smiling customers. Coffee was great and the food is proper cafe food with veggie options. A most visit place if you go to Folkstone

All staff are welcoming, friendly, and professional. Food is always tasty. The music transports me to Nepal every time I visit. Very interesting and attractive decor. Toilets are always clean. The lounge is spacious and very relaxed.
