Le Cafe Ganmac in Shepway

Great coffee and lovely toast and marmalade. So that was excellent however the atmosphere in the cafe leaves much to be desired! Cold inside. Deathly quiet. So a bit of heating and some gentle background music would help. Seemed to have its fair share of regulars so that says something. Toilets upstairs pretty unpleasant . A shame would have got 5 stars .

Went in for a light lunch , we both had sausage and bacon rolls , large tea and a couple of biscuits . Total cost was £15.90 pretty good in my opinion . Service was quick and the place was very clean and tidy . The rolls were nice and hot and very fresh . We both enjoyed the food and I would go again if I was in the area

I love this place, staff are very friendly. The coffee is really nice and the food is even better. It doesnt look much from the outside but dont be deceived, the food is hot, tastes lovely and is of good quality.

Not been here before. Friendly staff , the food was great quality , hot and fresh . Happy staff , very friendly. Just need to see if I can bring in my little assistance dog who I have for my bad anxiety. I do hope so as I’ll defiantly be back . Thanks so much .

Visited with my aunt and uncle for full breakfasts and coffees; great, calm and authentic ambiance and the food was brilliant. Would 10/10 recommend!

I had the Pulled Pork off their new Premium menu. It was so good. They have baby changing facilities which really helped. Very clean and staff very friendly, helpful & attentive. Very Covid aware.

We visit Cafe Ganmac every Saturday and have done for over a decade! The best veggie breakfast, bacon roll and hot chocolate money can buy. Always served by the friendliest staff, good quality WiFi and fantastic food. Has been greatly missed over lock-down and can't wait to be back soon!

Really good breakfast. No grease on your plate, crispy bacon, crisp toast, crunchy hash browns. Friendly service.

I had a bacon roll and latte for £2.50, really tasty too. Staff were friendly and a great building too.

We had a lovely breakfast here, all cooked to order and really good value for money. Never been here before but will definitely go back.

Excellent choice of hot and cold food. Great selection of freshly made chilled sandwiches. Massive selection of freshly cooked food to order. I visit as often as i can! Very reasonable prices and a fully family friendly atmosphere. You will always receive a friendly welcome.

A friendly cafe with very good service and reasonably priced drinks. Nice environment and enough room to have some privacy.

I have visited here on a few occasions with a friend for coffee and cake, whilst the coffees and refreshments are very nice, the staff especially the young women serving, need to smile!!! On the few visits, they never smile and one looks positively miserable and would rather not be there. My friend also noticed the lack of friendliness amongst the staff too. Would be a nice place to visit otherwise.

Voor een uitstekend Engels ontbijt, is this the place to be! Wij kennen Folkstone niet en gingen op zoek naar een ontbijtcafe. wat een geluk daar Ganmace, al zo vroeg is geopend. De service, klantvriendelijkheid en het uitstekende ontbijt, zorgde ervoor dat wij drie dagen ( helaas was ons verblijf in Folkstone niet langer) hier ons ontbijt nuttigden.

We often use this for a quick lunch and it's one of the better cafe's in the street. No frills just plain but tasty home cooking. The all day breakfast is very popular and the baked potatoes are really baked and not just microwaved. The coffee is good, too.

This is a place that takes you back in time. The service was good from the staff. The food is from the savers range ,which is reflected in the prices. There are a couple of tables on the pavement . The toilets are up a few stairs to a mezzanine floor where as you walk towards the toilets I could smell fat obviously a cloud is collecting at this high point . Ventilation would probably help. The toilets look tired and could do with a refurb

Stopped here with a friend for a coffee (lemon tea for me). Nice little cafe, you can watch the food being prepared and cooked, always good to see. Prices very reasonable and breakfast is served until 11-30. There is a couple of tables outside on the pavement, far more inside plus extra seating up a few stairs where the toilets are too. The ladies toilet could do with some refurbishment but it was clean which is the important thing. And if you are in a wheelchair it would be a problem to get there.

This a nice little café very clean and a extensive menu the breakfast is always nicely cooked and they do a very good Bacon sarnie. the only drawback is it tends to be a bit draughty and in the winter quite cold. The service is very good and the staff very affable. Just the place for a mid morning gossip and put the world to rights

I am a sucker for an old fashion style cafe with nostalgia. It was a cold day and we took a chance. The menu was very large and the food looked good (big jacket potatoes). Two coffees and two snacks was £5.40 which is pretty good value compared to just two coffees at a big chain. The coffee was lovely (as per the other reviews) and will definitely eat there next time! It's nice to find somewhere that is not rushed and also had nice friendly customers. Keep it up! We will be back soon and will take pics!

Been coming here since i was a child and it hasn't changed, which is a good thing. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere and a nice breakfast, they've got it!

Great cafe in the heart of town. Lovely sized full English breakfast for a good price. Has a nice pleasant unrushed atmosphere unlike all the big branded coffee shops in town.

Nice cafe, always peaceful even when it's full, dependable food and service, been there years, slightly old fashjioned atmosphere which I really like. Baked potatoes or egg and chips always really nice, they do lots of breakfasts and burgers, bacon butties, cakes or sandwiches as well. Their coffee is lovely, the best in town,they do old fashioned frothy coffee as well as cappucino, caramel latte etc there's a loyalty card for the posh coffees. Nice friendly staff. The only thing is the loo is a bit shabby and sometimes I wish they would do the odd proper cooked meal like a roast but maybe there is not enough demand. Nice place to sit on your own and feel at ease, sit on the bench seats with a book, lovely.
