The best restaurants serving Default food in Brockenhurst and Forest South East New Forest South East

Stumbled upon this lovely little cafe by chance as the place we used to visit was closed. Great selection of cakes, made a lovely cup of tea, which sounds odd but some cafes I've been to, the tea has not been great. Going to say very dog friendly as opposed to just dog friendly as the staff seem to enjoy having our four legged companions visit them and came across to say hello to our terrier. Husband had the salted caramel brownie, I tried a piece and it was melt in your mouth. Often down this way so will be adding this to our must visit places when in the New Forest.

Hubby and l visited this cafe with our dog last week. What a lovely friendly place with delicious food. We had a jacket potato with tuna and cake after. The salad on the jacket potato was very colourful and presented well. Thank you for a lovely meal. Tom & Marion (Gosport)

This is an excellent restaurant, intimate but not cramped, and a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. We visited twice, whilst spending a few days in New Forest, and were impressed. The food is superb and very well-cooked. A first class menu and great service. We enjoyed it very much and can recommend without hesitation. We spent £50pp including gratuity, for 3 courses including coffee excluding wine. Suggest booking first because capacity is limited and restaurant is popular.

We went miles out of our way to visit this place and boy was it worth it. Best donuts, best cakes and amazing bread, what more do you want. Great service and a very good price. Will definitely be coming back

Lovely little cafe, great staff, proper loose leaf tea. We went in for tea in the morning, then went back again for lunch. Couldn't fault it.

A perfect spot and amazing grounds for our wedding anniversary, we would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Always come here when we visit Brockenhurst. Good pizza 😍

We were a group of 6. We booked in advance. We were placed in the back room area of the restaurant which was not as nice, and although the young staff were polite the service wasn’t attentive. The food took quite a while to arrive, but it was tasty. It was neither terrible or amazing

Lovely lunch on our return Brockenhurst and Britannia Thai. Friendly service, lovely dishes including lamb massaman. Really glad we returned to this lovely restaurant.

Went there last night. Popped in but wasn’t hungry at the time but the smell made me go back 10 minutes later. The owner was superb. Found out what we wanted as we were queuing and got it cooking so we didn’t have to wait long. Fabulous fish and chips , would recommend. We will return next time in brockenhurst. Ate here as part of our stay here. Warm decor in the restaurant. Was given a warm welcome by our waiter who provided great service throughout the evening. Enjoyed tasty small Barbacoa Beef Tacos to start, a great Battered Haddock & Chips with a salted caramel to finish. Recommended if in area or staying at hotel.

Had Sunday lunch with the family at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the meal was good, very good, but the service was appallingly slow. The drinks at the beginning took 20 minutes to arrive. We had to cancel our coffee order as it had not arrived after 30 minutes, pay and leave. We felt completely ignored. It's a shame because that was poor, and we left feeling a bit fed up.

My brother and my son were very impressed with this establishment, as was I. Friendly and helpful service, delicious food and a welcome atmosphere. I have already recommended them to more family members and friends. Parking outside was very much appreciated, as my brother needs a wheelchair.

It was Mother’s Day and I went for afternoon tea with my mother my son and his family. It was really busy but the food was excellent and the staff were delightful despite the stress of’ the busiest day this year!’
