Vegan is hard to come by. They had a fab choice and very well presented food - attention to detail was lovely. Really friendly team.

The food was delicious and healthy. I had the salad option and it was packed with variety, colour and great taste. My son had soup and fresh bread and a sausage roll. We plan to return because the food was great at a really affordable price.

This comfortable cafe is located within the interesting needlemakers center. We had a very good flat white coffee. The surroundings are unusual and interesting for a coffee shop.

Really friendly welcome, excellent food and service. Took our dogs and had a nice table where he could sprawl out of the way and he got treated like a prince. Would definitely go back

Had a wonderful meal celebrating a birthday and all of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Great selection on the menu for meat, fish and vegetarian too, fresh and local. Very much recommend!

Location is random but the service and quality of the burger was excellent!

We were her only customers. We ordered the exact same thing and waited 40min for 2 burgers. The young lady - as nice as she was- was super ditsy and could not remember our order. She came to us after 20 min to confirm, two burgers with vegan cheese and onion chutney + 2 kimchy vegan loaded fries. Before serving she said the burgers were ready but messed up the fries, she only prepared a non-vegan versin which my partner has. I should mention that an old mate of hers was there chitchatting during that time. We were not impressed by the service, it’s poor, borderline unacceptable. She did give me a refund for the fries i never had. Food is good though. Hence the 3 stars.

I take back everything good I said about this place. I ordered using their app, waited an hour for delivery to have a bloke show up with several orders, he’d delivered several before me, the whole thing was stone cold garbage. I could’ve ordered via deliveroo within 10 minutes by all accounts. Have to wait for a refund and no where else to get food from. Absolute sham. I could’ve ordered McDonald’s delivery from Brighton and had better food!

This restaurant is pretentious! Over priced lack lust food. When paying we asked to remove the service charge due to freedom of choice and we were happy to tip in cash, however the manager challenged this in a confrontational way even though we explained that money is tight for us at the moment! She then did not remove the charge and made us feel so uncomfortable we just payed it! This is not cool and gave off a very hostile vibe. The food was totally overpriced and miniature so if you want to have an enjoyable and affordable pleasant dining experience don’t go here!

I have been going to The Peacock for over 30 years but last night was very disappointing. Firstly, I phoned in advance to tell them I have a lactose intolerance and could I have the steak with a non-dairy sauce. The girl was very dismissive and just said speak to your server tomorrow when you come. When we arrived, despite having told them we were there for our wedding anniversary, we were allocated seats in the pub, which I refused and then we got a table in the actual restaurant. Again I informed the waitress of my dairy intolerance and asked for a non-dairy sauce to go with my (very expensive) steak. When dinner arrived there was no sauce at all! And when I asked I was told I couldn’t have one. Never in 30 years has this ever been a problem before. VERY POOR SERVICE. I don’t know if the pub has changed owners since we last went but they REALLY need to up their game when it comes to allergies and intolerances. It spoilt out wedding anniversary celebrations and we will now have to look elsewhere for a nice meal out.

Been here twice when popping over Lewes way and the staff are so lovely. Phil was very welcoming, great asset to the business and made us feel valued as a customer - keep it up! 🤗
