Very nice staff, good interactions

Useful morning items to be had there with a variety of offers and things to buy for both food and drink, can be a bit busy sometimes though always a good spot to come to for a little while. Have purchased stuff in one go or in individual items, better to buy in one order and have one serving wait.

This Costa puts all other Costa branches to shame. Jim and his team are lovely. Only branch to seem to offer cream and marshmallows on a mocha. We come most Sundays.

We’ve been here at 16:30 today, and there were two male workers who have been so nice to us that we felt bad if we didn’t leave a good review about them, increase their salary because these types of people deserve to be appreciated.

Jim served me today. I didn't know baristas could be so upbeat and kind. Like wow!!

We've been here a few times now and every time we get blown away by their customer service. Jim & Phil are both so friendly, caring and do an amazing job. The coffees and drinks are always spot on, made with love. Thank you so much.

Popped in for a cup of tea. Unfortunately the water used to make the tea was little more than warm so made a bad cuppa. When I showed this to the barista I got a luke warm response of well what do you want me to do about it? Well er put a kettle on maybe would seem to be the answer. So in short good for coffee very bad for tea. Wouldn’t bother again.

Samantha in fact all of the staff at Costa are very friendly, and the coffee is made to perfection.

Wow Jim and Sammi absolutely made our visit to Costa today. Jim had very different light hearted welcoming hello for all customers and Sammi I can honestly say is the first person to have the forethought of providing a paper cup for my elderly mum who is in a wheelchair in case the mugs was too heavy for her. Really took me by surprise. I really wish all Costa staff were as lively, professional, welcoming and thoughtful. Absolute winning team

The direction on Google are wrong. Don't follow the red arrow saying costa coffee. You end up in a industrial estate

Just been in here to redeem my Treat Drop, very nice man, I believe his name was Phil. Always a friendly service in here, I definitely recommend it to all who fancy a quick coffee.

when my friends and i were walking around lewes every shop was closed (before their actual closing hours) except this cafe. the worker was incredibly sweet to us and attended to us very kindly, besides offering us to eat at the table outside while they started closing up. 💗

We’ve stopped to have a coffee after hiking all the way from Brighton. We have to congratulate the staff working in the afternoon, very attentive to us and excellent customer service. The team kept the place clean and tidy. Top 10 team!

A small Costa in Lewes, East Sussex. Very busy but not a place to relax. A very wet day so glad to find it but not a place to stay long. The table we had seemed to tip easily and we could easily have lost our drinks.

Was delighted to find a coffee shop open past 4 in the area, and even more delighted to encounter such wonderful staff. So many orders had come in at once and staff handled it like absolutely pros. Apologised unnecessarily about the delay which was only 2 minutes. Both staff members a credit to your company

Staff that go above and beyond, polite , helpful

Good if not too busy and a nice location in the town centre and near to the rest of the shopping area and other things, nice and warm in winter and outside tables can be found in the summer months too. Lots to choose from and close to the bus stop area and car parking areas too.

Staff in here are absolutely brilliant. Always friendly and welcoming and upbeat!

Can be crowded due to small shop. Staff exceptional.

Went in here to meet family day after a funeral so we were all feeling a little fragile. The service was excellent and Sammie the manager went above and beyond. Food and drinks were standard Costa so you knew what you were getting. Highly recommended going here for great service.

Fantastic staff that still remembered us even though we moved away and remembered our order from when we visit weekly in lockdown on our walks. I can't recommend it enough, they are so friendly.

I swear by a Costa coffee because it is like rocket-fuel! I'm also impartial to buns, cake and biscuits. And the staff in this outlet are particularly friendly too.

Really polite attentive staff who were amazing with my wife, who had a pram and a little person inside. They opened the doors, brought her drink to her and found her a good space that was pram friendly. Warm and friendly and well worth a short review, so thank you staff you staff of Costa in Lewes!

I visited Costa a few days ago during my work break. The staff were incredibly friendly! They opened doors for us. Served us quickly. The place was incredibly clean. I've been a few times to this Costa but this experience was the best I've had and I left feeling happier for it! I will definitely be back

Consistently friendly and efficient staff. And they reliably have filtered coffee! As an American, I really appreciate being able to grab a quick cup of basic black coffee.

i ordered a vegan toastie (tho not being vegan) and an iced latte , freddie asked if i wanted a different type of milk and asked if i wanted my toastie done separately to my partners meat one. an older man greeted us and made sure everyone was happy

Went here with my mum last Thursday and the service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and they obviously knew many of the customers. It had a real community feel which is unusual for a costa. Staff shared jokes with customers and went out of their way.

Filthy tables and generally looks dirty and tatty inside. Please clean your tables - it's important especially in this Covid era. On a positive note the man serving was very pleasant and helpful.

I rarely go Costa prefer the independent cafes in Lewes met out of convenience for a friend to find another costa with miserable staff the trend does worry me... As for the coffee double espresso ok but served rather 'long' the place is clean inside, toilets clean - just ok.

Amazing service from a tall man and a lady with short blonde hair. I dropped my coffee 5 minutes after getting it and they kindly made me another one with no charge! I'm sorry I didn't get the names of these lovely people. Also everyone needs to try the delicious vegan cookie I got recommended from the nice man. Costa coffee was great as per.

Staff don't listen when you say NO too something in your drink due too allergic too them they still put them in and even charge you for them. Great location in the high street of Lewes, nice friendly staff. Its nice to sit outside and sip your coffee with the high street view. Though chairs and table are very limited. Love to comeback there again. 😀

I went into costa coffee in lewes today the 2 barista's called Freddie and Sammi were really welcoming. I ordered a Terry's chocolate orange hot chocolate which was so devine. Definitely be going back again 😁

Visited with a friend Saturday 24th October 2020. Coffee and a snack. The staff here, on this date, which is why I've been so specific about the date, were all lovely. They made a difference to my stressful start upon arriving in Lewes and struggling to get parked. Of course, none of them knew my 'plight' :). They were particularly careful about Covid rules and made me feel safe. They didn't make me feel rushed, were friendly and super fast with delivery of our food and drink. I'd like to say thank you and hope the management /Head Office see this and give them the praise they deserve. These are 'crazy times' and a lot of people are struggling with dealing with it, so when you receive good service it's good to shout about it, too many people are quick to complain! :)

Well got a bit of a shock after walking through the door, shouted at by some stressed out coffee making person (Barista) to stand in the right place when queuing, then a girl with multicoloured hair barked at me to stand on the spot marked on the floor, I told the barista there's a very stressful atmosphere in here and he started moaning about working 7 days a week and not seeing his wife much, its at this point i noticed the disgusting state of the coffee machine and the preparation area with spilt coffee, milk, dirty cleaning cloths etc, coffee was ok ,service was brisk but rude, will i go there again ? No I've found a much better place over the bridge up the road on the left hand side, go there !!!

Hi.. went to Costas 20/9 at approx 2 30 while visiting Lewes.Staff where soo pleasant and professional..especially a gentleman (who lm afraid l didn't get his name) but tall ,well built dark haired English guy ,wearing glasses(maybe manager) was particularly kind to my partner and l ; in going out of his way to get us seated outside. Really added to my enjoyment while in Lewes,so many thanks to that guy and staff..Regards.

I thought the BarIsta was very rude too another customer regarding where she stood to wait for her. The iced coffees I bought were inferior to the ones I purchased last week from Cafe Nero up the hill

Sam hilly must be pals with the staff because polite is not the experience you get here, some of the female staff working here just stare out through cannabis heavy eyelids ( I'm reasonably sure they must have a bong in the kitchen ) and are at times quite rude and when they are forced to be polite as polite society requires them they are as cold as only stoners can be, theres a reasonable neros top of steep hill but worth it in the end for the better calibre of experience or a perfectly reasonable Costa in the Tesco supermarket quite close. But I would only recommend here if your the type who likes to inquire whether they might score somewhere nearby

Friendly service but the coffee was dreadful. I ended up throwing it in the bin. Two coffees and five quid wasted. Not the usual Costa standard.

Service isn't the fastest. There are multiple staff but not all serving. Instead, they are discussing how hungover they are from the night before. Tables are left dirty and not cleared.
