Brilliant place. Good decent, honest food. Had some lovely breakfast sandwiches and hot drinks. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would recommend!

I and my son and my mum had an amazing batter sausages and chips that was so much better then Mr cod, The portion sizes was great to a point that my mother and son could not eat all of of their food so I finished it for them lol, The price was cheaper than MR Cod I hate MR Cod anyway, Service was pretty good too, We was very happy campers, We will be coming again at some point, Thank you for feeding us, 😀

Dropped in on spec with a big group (about 20 of us) on a Monday evening. Plenty of space for us all to sit together as it was very quiet. Lovely friendly service. Most of us had a carvery which was good, and a bonus on a Monday night! Thanks Helen and the team.

The Ferryboat Inn is beautifully-situated beside the sea at the westernmost extremity of Hayling Island, where a narrow tidal channel separates it from nearby Portsea Island, upon which the "Great Waterfront City of Portsmouth" stands. Most people who visit the Ferryboat Inn will come by motor car as there is a large, paid car park adjacent to the pub. It's also possible to get there by cycling, or walking, along the disused Hayling Billy line from Havant. There is a frequent road 'bus service from Havant to Hayling seafront but the nearest stop is a fifteen-minute walk from the pub. Alternatively, the No. 25 'bus service from the Hard Interchange in Portsmouth sets down at Eastney Lifeboat Station, from where it's possible to catch the hourly ferry sailing (Adult Single ticket GBP 3:50) to Hayling Island. The Ferryboat Inn, part of the Stonegate pub chain, gets very busy during Summer weekends as it's convenient for those who wish to walk or swim at Hayling beach, It's also very popular with watersports enthusiasts, and those who patronise the nearby Golf Course. The wait for food, if you wanted to eat at a table inside, was about an hour when I arrived on Saturday lunchtime so I bought a large, fried Cod and Chips from the pub's takeaway chippy and ate it at an outside table overlooking the entrance to Langstone Harbour. If it's a windy day and you wish to eat inside, a plate of hearty Sausage and Mash will set you back GBP 14:50 whilst a Lamb Shank costs GBP 17:50. There is a good range of food and drink on offer with a 175ml glass of red or white house wine coming in at well under a fiver. Food is served from 12:00-21:00 on Saturdays and from 12:00-19:00 on Sundays.

Used to be an ok chip shop but changed since last visit. Won’t be going back ever even if last place on planet earth. Premises & food looked awful, staff would obviously rather be doing anything else other than cook “food” & awful attitude. Think 5 star rating on window from environmental health left over from pre existing business. Big queues at eateries just round corner from visitors & locals but no one visiting here says it all to me
