The best restaurants serving Default food in Gosport South East

Not only do they provide the best food but go over & beyond on delivery, even when I had my mum's address at Harbour in there instead of where they usually deliver Quarters. Absolutely faultless, thank you so much & see you next time!

Lovely meal, arrived hot, will definitely order again

We went here for a Sunday lunch as part of my wife’s birthday celebrations. Really accommodating when making the booking for 8 people. My mother-in-law got in the few minutes early as we had a birthday cake to bring out and they were more than happy to stash it out the back until needed. Amazing Service. We all had 3 courses. All was brought out in a timely manner. Food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Really polite and friendly service throughout. Quite a few of us went for the Sunday Roast - great portion sizes. The Roast Potatoes were the best we’ve had on a long time! Had two kids with us aged 11 and 8 - and both loved their kids meals. Puddings were no exception. The staff brought the cake out with the candles lit, singing happy birthday. Also offered a knife and napkins etc in case we wanted to cut it up for members of our party to take home. Just an amazing experience from start to finish - very grateful to the staff for making it such a memorable birthday meal. Won’t hesitate to return and recommended to others. Thank you to all the brilliant team there.

We went for a lovely Sunday birthday lunch and although very busy ,which we were informed of from the beginning ,we had a lovely meal. Food was piping hot, staff very friendly and two young children made to feel welcome, very happy and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

This is a favourite lunch venue for my husband & I, their lasagne is the best, so when looking for a Christmas lunch for myself & my mum, there was no question. The three course Christmas dinner was delicious, a great choice of menu, the food was plentiful, well cooked & piping hot. You are always guaranteed a warm welcome & great food at Lakeside.

Lovely quality food at a fair price with lovely service and what a great view too across the solent with a good car park across the road.

My wife and I have been going to the Great wall Chinese restaurant on a regular basis for over 20 years now. In all that time we have never once had a bad experience. The food is always full of flavour and brought hot straight from the kitchen. You don't have to wait long either to receive your order. The staff are friendly and attentive and always make you feel welcome. If you love Chinese food and have a good appetite then you won't be disappointed.

Service was very friendly, a warm welcoming hello when entering the shop. Very quick to take my order & I had my chips within a few seconds. However the chips themselves were overcooked & tasted burnt but had gone soggy as though they had been kept warm. I raised this after calling, again the service was great, an apology & a fresh portion of chips was delivered within minutes. However, the replacement chips were just as awful & almost inedible. Sadly I won't be returning as I have heard a few others, friends & family say that they have also had poor quality/tasting chips. Honest review & hate to complain or make a fuss but on this occasion I needed to share my experience. The service was the only reason for the 2 stars, if it was based on the food alone it'd be 1 star at best.

Had a half BBQ chicken and large chips from here for takeaway and only 7 quid! It was really decent I must say. The chicken was marinaded and seasoned really well, and was great quality, really tasty. And the chips, well, they really were top notch. Fluffy, crispy, not greasy and clean oil taste. Really nice! Would highly recommend, and I'm even gonna grab one tonight. Full marks. (The pic only shows a handfull of the chips, portion was big)

I've been coming here for years with my family, we just keep coming back because its so good! My father says it is easily the best fry up in gosport!

When I was born my family lived in North End, Portsmouth. As was often the case in those days, I was actually born in a Nursing Home in Southsea. Although we soon moved away to outer London (Raynes Park and Motspur Park) I eventually returned to the south. Gwen, my lady friend, lives in Lee on the Solent, so, over the last few months, I have been renewing my acquaintanceship with the whole, Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham area. Yesterday, Gwen had top visit her bank which is in the high street, Gosport. Whilst in the bank we were talking to a couple of the staff and one recommended a nearby cafe. Kate’s Vinyl Bar & Kitchen. It was literally a few steps away. As many will know, I love my coffee… and cake and am always ready to try somewhere new. The reason for the name of the cafe soon became apparent. The style and decor is a mix of 70’s and 80’s club, disco. There is a large selection of old vinyl records and an old style turntable on the end of the bar. Customers can select and play the records of their choice. The bar is long and made of wood. For a small, high street cafe, it carries an impressive range of draft beers. Including a couple of unusual lagers. For example Ashai Japanese lager and Grolsch. We seated ourselves on a small, low sofa near the window and ordered. A small latte for me and a mint chocolate for Gwen. To go with these delights Gwen ordered some sort of sponge cake slice whilst I went for one named after a famous brand of champagne! The cakes and the drinks were excellent… which is why I find myself back here today, awaiting my lady, who, is off doing a little shopping. Now, the one thing I have not mentioned is the staff. Many cafes and restaurants , can be made or broken by their staff. In this case the owners have made some great choices. The staff that we have met so far, have been excellent. On the ball, quick to take orders and very quick to serve these orders to your table. For those of us who need to know these things… the toilets are clean and easy to access. Today is a Friday at about 10:30 and just about every table is full. Proof enough of the quality of this little gem. 😁

Stopped here for a drink and cake, amazing selection of Gluten / dairy free options. We shared 3 items, all delicious and took some for takeway. Reasonably prices, worth a visit.
