Great food place was a bit tired though it wouldn't stop me going back

First time go going there. Staff was very polite. clean and very good food

Very friendly cafe . It's always a good sign when it keeps getting busier. Staff were very polite and attentive. The food tasted superb, and portions were plentiful.

One of my regular spots, deservedly busy. Engaged service delivering decent food accurately and swiftly at even the busiest times. January 2024 and new management. It was always good but now, in little ways, it's even better. Still great food, more staff, slightly faster service, perfectly reasonable prices. The occupancy level speaks for itself.

Great food. I'm not here often, so I can't compare now to the previous management. The staff were polite and cheerful and managed to cater to our table of 8 at a very busy lunchtime. The food looked and tasted great. Good value, too. Nothing fancy, good, honest food. Nice hot drinks, too. The only reason I deducted a star is because the toilet door is a nightmare to open and close due to water damage, and the front door slams, which shakes the whole wall of windows. Sort those, and it's a 5 star...

Very friendly with a good range of food.

We wanted to find what I call an old fashion cafe serving fabulous English cafe food and this is it. A really good menu, reasonably priced, beautifully cooked by the 2 chef's and most importantly, really hot. We had the steak pie, roasties and veg and it was delicious. So good, we went back the following week and will be there again this Saturday. Well done everyone.

Very tasty baked potato with butter, and prawns that weren't drowned in mayo. Tomato sauce provided. We'll go there again.

Best place to get proper Pie, Mash and Liquor.

Went on a recommendation and was somewhat disappointed with the food. Don't get me wrong it was good as far as a greasy spoon goes but not that great value for money or quality.

Sadly not at all what we expected with the 4.5/5 star rating, the food was decent, the service poor.

So glad we found this place when we were starving and in need of a good breakfast, great cafe, friendly and quick service, great value and the breakfast was amazing! Perfect! Hot tasty and definitely filling, if you haven't visited I highly reccomend!

The food was at best horrible cold beans, jacket potato was very dry no butter on it, the atmosphere was tense in the cafe, also table and cutlery was sticky and the 'scores on the door' sticker was either very old or taken from another restaurant as the date was scrubbed out and it states they are a 5* but looking on the council web sit they are only a 3*. One to avoid

Place very clean and friendly, ordered cod and chips with peas and salad, sorry to say, cod was burnt, left in oven to long, salad not drained, and peas where tinned not fresh. Could do better I’m afraid for price

Had a sunday roast in this lovley friendly cafe what a gem at the end of lee on solent high street. My wife had the liver she said it was excellent. Great food good price service spot on and a very large menu for all tastes

Always a nice place to get a hot drink, or full on breakfast or lunch. A quiet part of town, too and always quiet when we've been. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great prices! A short walk to the coast, too.

Good tasty food but the portion size on our sandwich takeaways and sides were too small for the price. Friendly staff though.

Found this charming cafe by accident as the fish and chip shop was closed. Had really nice fish and chips with a salad for just over £7 each. The salad was more than the normal lettuce leaf and slice of cucumber many places laughingly call a salad and the whole thing was delightful. The only negative was the service was a bit slow because the very pleasant young man who served us was rushed off his feet. We are looking forward to driving another 60 miles for the roast dinner next time. Splendid little cafe, well done.

ive been coming here with my family for 5 years now and chefs delight have never seemed to disapoint me. their food is always top quailty and you get it within 10-17 minutes of ordering. the menu is packed with all kinds of delicous breakfasts, light snacks and colourfull smoothies. the staff are really polite and ive never had a bad experince with them. the food is also very filling and good for its pricei would rate this cafe a 6/5 and would totally recomend brining your family along too.

This cafe’s main selling advertising point is there traditional pie mash and liquor gravy, its on there online menu photos of it on all adverts and after driving 20minutes to try this out i found that they no longer do it but are still advertising it absolutely everywhere including photos of it!! Very dissapointing after a 40 min round trip to come back empty handed, if your after trying there pie mash and liquor save yourself a wasted joerney

Just drove 20minutes to have their pie and liquer thats on the menu and they longer do it despite it being there photo on google and it still being on there website!! Not cool!!

Popped in for coffee. Lovely gentleman served us and he had a big smile on his face! £6 for 2 coffees and a hot chocolate.. bargain! Thank you. Hot chocolate was one of the nicest drinks I've had!

First time here and it was very yummy indeed! The fry up was tasty, not greasy and had many options plus add ons. Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu.

Slowest service I have ever experienced food was great when it came but everything else from the ordering to the payment of the food was like having a tooth extracted without anesthesic.

Had a beef roast dinner which was absolutely delicious, filling and only £7.20.will definitely be returning!

This was our first visit to this cafe since they reopened after lock-down and the only difference is that there are fewer tables in order to accommodate social distancing. It is still the best value for money cafe in the area, the service is excellent and the quality of food is very good. We went for our usual sausage and bacon and egg and bacon baguettes with large mugs of strong tea and we weren't disappointed. The menu is extensive and ranges from full English Breakfasts to roast dinners and salads. We paid £10.80 for the baguettes and tea and I've been to pubs where one baguette alone would cost you more than this. The decor and interior is basic but very clean and the tables were sanitised between customers. Highly recommended if you want an old fashioned cafe with excellent food and great service.

Me and my partner came here for lunch and we’ll be back! The service was great, it was clean, COVID safe and quick service. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. We even made room for pudding..... so yummy!

I've been coming to Chef's Delight for quite some time, but since lockdown began I've really missed a full English breakfast. I decided to order using their online system and collect a breakfast.I paid online and the message said 10 minutes, so I shot straight down and food was ready straight away. By the time I got home it was still absolutely piping hot and absolutely top quality.Chef's Delight really is a little hidden gem in Lee on Solent and I highly recommend it.

This cafe was recommended during the lock down. We have since used them several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food has been really tasty with a good portion. Delivery times have also been great. We will continue to use them and look forward to when we can visit the cafe in person.

I am so glad they have reopened, take away only. They now take contact less card payments. Great food, great portions always tasty. Love their food.

Massive helpings and good value

I met a friend here and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were friendly. Food arrived quickly. Hot and very tasty. A couple of the friends had their Christmas dinner special and it looked tempting. Definitely go there again.

This is our favourite place to go! The staff are wonderful, the food is always served quickly and piping hot. Never a bad experience and always a pleasure to go here! I couldn't speak more highly of it.

A superb toasted crispy bacon sandwich, delish!

Food was OK, but the filth in the toilets..oh my.

I had full English, with a tea £7.90 Daughter had spaghetti bolognaise. £6. Greasy spoon / builders type cafe. Honest food, cheap and edible. Smoothies are pretty good and reasonably priced. Overall satisfied. Was pretty busy, only a couple of spare tables. Friendly staff, quick at cleaning down the tables.

I went for a Homemade lasagne & salad, good sized portion, could not finish, Husband went for one of the breakfast which had a twizzerly type of hot dog (cant remember what they called it). All very enjoyable. Very clean. plates collected as soon as individuals left, on this visit, not a lot in, but got the vibe this was the routineFriendly StaffWould visit again

Only the second time we have eaten here as we usually stay around the top end of the High St. We only moved down towards the bottom end looking for parking. We had a delicious meal and we will make the effort to come again. My husband had the carbonara which he said was delicious,in fact I thought he was going to lick his plate! I had a cheese omelette and chips, omelette very nice but I’m not keen on frozen chips. We both had a pudding, I had cherry pie and my husband had apple crumble. I asked for extra custard and boy did I get extra. Delicious. Would highly recommend and it’s table service by charming staff. I’ve given 5 stars despite the chips! I’ve selected the dinner option below but it was actually about 3pm
