The best restaurants serving Default food in Meads Eastbourne South East

We enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal here on Mother's Day. Fantastic service and rich food, very flavoursome. Will be back again

Wow! What a delicious meal! Still thinking about it days later… the restaurant is cosy and relaxed, the food is absolutely delicious and really good quality, with fresh ingredients. Between 2 people we ordered the prawns, aubergine, fritters for starter - yum, the prawns lit up our eyes!! Then we had the red mullet and seafood ragu for main - the ragu was deliciously complex, rich, and full of flavour, and the red mullet was the perfect accompaniment also being delicious but less rich. The wine was also lovely! I think one of the waiting staff was perhaps new/lacking in confidence, and despite being friendly and warm, after being seated we were left without menus or water for a long time when we arrived (and another table who arrived after us were given these before us), plus we ordered espresso at the end of the meal which was forgotten, but this service training is easily rectifiable and I wouldn’t remove any stars for this because everything else was so great and it genuinely just seemed like a lack of experience. However, Carla was particularly attentive and wonderful which made up for it, plus the food was honestly to die for (compliments to the chef!). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Eastbourne, have already told friends and family about it 😊

Had a lovely meal at the 1912 great atmosphere and added bonus of a very good singer Tom Fitzpatrick for some entertainment during the evening, will be returning

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief lunch at Light this week. We only had a couple of the open sandwiches with a cup of tea, but the sandwiches were beautifully presented and tasty. The ambience is very pleasant as was our waitress Savannah. This is a delightful conversion of the previous cafe at The Towner and highly recommended.

Pequeño gran café Si quieres un verdadero Gulyas húngaro, no es lo que Todo Reino Unido cree que es un Goulash, ¡este es el lugar correcto! Buenos crepes dulces y salados también. Lugar ideal para un desayuno o almuerzo tardío. Sorprendentemente, no como en otros lugares aquí, también puedes comprar algunas cervezas o sidra y un espíritu húngaro llamado "palinka" (aunque fuerte:)). Esto hace que sea un lugar ideal para "cotillear" no solo para mujeres, sino también para hombres. :) El servicio es sonriente.

The portions were HUGE for moderate prices! Friendly and quick service, good food ❤️ it served the purpose of filling us up after a loooong hike from Seaford

I had a latte for take away. The staff were very nice. The latte was professionally made!! I’d say one of the best coffees in Eastbourne!

Very oily, soggy chips and the “grilled” huss was also very oily. The box it came in was saturated with oil. It all went in the bin. We won’t be ordering again.

Lovely pub. Wonderful atmosphere and good prices. They also have lots of bord games you can play. 😁

Wow ! We ate here last night and the food and service was excellent! We took my 6 year old and they catered for her as well so everyone was happy! Best Italian I have had in a look time.
