Coffee & Carrot was a great place to have breakfast! The coffee was robust and well made. The Posh Porridge was a delicious meal and was more than enough as a serving. The lady who was serving and brewing coffee was also quite friendly. Would to again!

My favourite coffee place in Eastbourne for years. The coffee is delicious, prices are reasonable, and the staff is always friendly. Centrally located, plenty of seating outside and a decent amount inside. It's Alice in Wonderland themed too. I go there multiple times a week.

Nothing is too much trouble at this coffee shop and our go to for coffee & cake in Eastbourne. Actually it is the toasted teacakes we go after mostly and these are the best in Eastbourne and the surrounding area, but all their food is fantastic. The staff are efficient, helpful, professional and personable. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

I don't recommend this place due to their poor service and pricing.

Stopped here to grab a quick bite and a coffee. The outdoor seating is lively and there was a lot of customers. I ordered a pannini it took a while but came with my mocha. The mocha was lovely but for 6pounda the pannini was just average. The staff were friendly but I would return for the hit drinks not food.

More vegan options would be appreciated. Most places offer a flapjack and it gets a bit boring. Pastries would nice. The coffee and sandwiches were really nice though.

Really wanted to try this place. Coffee is lovely and carrot cake is delicious. Staff are always kind and welcoming. We tried their beetroot juice which was lovely and we always swing by to pick up a coffee here when we feel so.

Nice café with a great selection, especially if you want it to be vegan and gluten-free. The staff are really polite and thoughtful. We come back every time we are on holiday in Eastbourne.

We were having a rainy holiday in Hastings and had come to Eastbourne for the day for something to do with our daughter.We luckily happened upon Coffee and Carrot and it made my day. I was feeling sorry for myself during my rainy holiday but this place was so lovely, atmospheric, service was quick and coffee was hot and lovely. We had waited 30 minutes the day before for an average coffee in Battle. I didn't want to leave and go back out in the rain. This place has the X Factor! Thank you for cheering up my holiday, I had a better day after my visit here!

came here for a coffee and meeting with a client. my client was very happy with the food and drinks and as was i. i had a latte and carrot cake and my client had an almond croissant and green juice. i highly recommended this coffee shop for general visiting/studying/meeting up with a client etc. lovely environment and large seating area in the heart of eastbourne.

Awful cafe do not give them your money. Ordered a smoothie and was tasteless and rubbish. Woman who runs it was extremely rude and stuck up. Food was horrible too! Never going back and neither should anyone else.

The best tasting coffee in eastbourne and some really nice food, I'm pretty sure it's family run which I like. I have had a few bits to eat there before , panini, fruit salad, almond croissant ect and it's always been really nice ... THE COFFEE IS AMAZING

My partner and myself along with my sister and her husband who are visiting from Australia made the mistake of choosing to get refreshments at this cafe. We ordered one hot tea, two chocolate milkshakes and a Rock cake. The Rock cake lived u to its name, Rock hard and inedible. We received one hot tea and two hot chocolates. When we pointed out the mistake we were met with denials and told we ordered hot chocolate. My brother in law was too tired to argue and accepted a hot chocolate, the other one was taken back. We were told that we could have a chocolate milkshake for another two pounds which we paid. The "chocolate milkshake" was milk with chocolate sauce squirted in. My partner had been looking at a shop display and didn't bother to ask for anything seeing what we'd been treated to and we left as soon as we were able to. The "hot chocolate" was poorly done, the tea not the greatest, the Rock cake inedible and the customer service appalling. We're locals and won't be back and the poor customer service encouraged this review. 0 out of 10.

I never had a bad meal in this place, it's always very tasty and I love their selection of juices. They could use better coffee

Lovely sunny location, friendly welcome and really delicious breakfast - we shared a posh porridge and then had sourdough/avo one with bacon, one with smoked salmon. Both delicious. Freshly squeezed apple juice was fab.

I have been here twice. First time for coffee only. I got a latte with syrup. It was so sweet like there is no coffee at all. I have it a second shot, this time normal latte and a cake. So coffee without syrup was decent but I was struggling to finish the cake. I got a lemon and blueberry cake because But the only thing I could taste was sugar. Also a bit too price for such a low quality cake. Other local cafes have better homemade cakes cheaper. Also the lady serving wasn’t very polite. I was under impression of bothering her with my presence.

Called in feeling tired for coffee. We were tempted by the cakes. Husband had EXCELLENT carrot cake. I had a rock cake which was ok but a bit too hard for me. He shared the carrot cake, so I was happy. Nice ambiance, relaxed, easy going.

Mrs B & I stumbled across this delightful independent cafe whilst on holiday in the area. Perfect Americano & Latte. On our next visit we tried the cake and we’re so pleased we did. Best carrot cake I’ve ever had and I could leave home for the woman who makes the Raspberry & White Chocolate Blondie. The staff are very friendly and helpful too.

We popped in here the first day of our weekend break and the coffee was so good we went back the other 2 days we were there , very friendly staff and great coffee . The Almond and Berry cake was absolutely gorgeous .

Popped in to have breakfast after an overnight stay nearby. Large smoothie, pot of tea, large bacon sarnie, ham and cheese croissant. All delicious. Then decided to take a rock cake and piece of carrot cake with us. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

We come here regularly as it has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The food is always lovely and the staff are friendly. Good for different dietary requirements, including vegan. There is an Alice in Wonderland theme, which adds a quirky touch but it's not overdone.

Situated on a roundabout .Sat outside had coffee,baked potato with Advocado and sun dried tomatoes.Nice floury potato but not hot and no butter.Lettuce was past it’s sell by date.

We sat out on the pavement for our lunch and had a chicken and avocado ciabatta as well as one with pastrami, cheese, pickles and mustard. The quality was very good indeed.

Came here with my mother, it's a lovely little cafe. Today we had the sweet potato and coriander soup and it was delicious. We often call in, the staff are great and make you feel very welcome.

Popped in here the other day with a friend who lives in Eastbourne and it is her favourite. Had tea and a cheese and onion Toastie. A simple thing but it was excellent. Cheese was perfect - not too strong just right! Good price too. Friendly lady at counter and a great place to eat.

Food and coffee excellent, however although the service comes with a smile it’s appallingly slow, often get forgotten about. Can’t seem to deal with days that are even slightly busy, clearly have a poor organisational system.

This place is a little small but there is seating outside for when the weather is warm. Bestest coffee, great cakes and and delicious sandwiches. Also they have an enormous number of different smoothies and juices ...oh and the staff are great too!

We always try to visit this lovely little place when we are on holiday in Eastbourne. It's quite small inside but they have tables outside under some trees. It's on quite a busy road junction but that doesn't matter. It's really nice to sit and watch everything go by.

We came and shared a chicken and avocado ciabatta and a goats cheese, beetroot and fig jam ciabatta. Both were really tasty and full of filling. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve eaten here a number of times when in Eastbourne. The serve great quality coffee and cakes, but the sandwiches are always delicious. It’s very friendly and has outside seating. Always a treat to visit.

We went to the cafe 15min before it’s closing time. I was fully expecting to walk out with coffee in a take out cup.

Good local cafe that's reasonably priced for most things. My baked potato was okay and beetroot salad lovely. Juices and smoothies are quite expensive. Can of pop for £2.

Firstly, I came here like always as the coffee, cakes and service are superb!

Have been to C&C; before and always have the chai latte. My brother had the hazelnut latte with I tried and was really good. It was fairly quiet when we were in there and its nice to see the staff enjoying themselves but their conversation was so loud between the three of them that we struggled to have our own conversation sitting right opposite each other. Anyway, perhaps next time I will enjoy some cake.

Such beautiful cakes and other food on display, beautiful normal and vegan cakes, amazing smoothies, gorgeous coffee and so many milk alternatives. Service is very efficient and friendly, plus the place is spotless. The staff work so hard and you feel so welcome.

This really is a little gem, small, so a bit difficult to get an inside seat sometimes. More tables outside in the good weather. My favourite...Toasted cheese and onion sandwich, always served with side salad and a splash of their home made dressing, followed by a cappuccino topped with cinnamon, and if I'm not on a 'diet day'..a take home Almond Croissant'...de..lic..ious!

Eastbourne is slowly gathering a few excellent places for light bites and good drinks.

Been here several times. Lovely fresh juices and smoothies. Toasted sandwiches also very good. Children welcome. Only minor gripe - not clear if table service. Looked up clearly ready to order, lady behind counter smiled and then served someone who has just walked in. They need to make it clear if table or counter service. Otherwise great.

Coffee & Carrot is an independent coffee shop. They sell various coffee, cakes, juices and smoothies. Their interior is clean, warm and comfortable. They have a bright and warm atmosphere. But it is rather small, so sometimes can be crowded and a bit noisy.
