I hoped for more. The service was a little inattentive whilst the staff played around with music playlists jumping from one song to another. The food was ok and quite tasty but poorly presented and MASSIVELY overpriced. £80 for a barbecue sharing platter!! This can be got elsewhere and better for half that price. In short, I would not go back.
Pleasant. The food is tasty (I especially recommend the Garlic naan). The vegetarian dishes were all delicious. There were 5 of us and we enjoyed different dishes. Not a single dish disappointed us. The dish…Chana (chuck peas) and…Aubergine were especially delicious.
Went with friends for Sunday roast. Delicious meal, well cooked and plenty of it.
Warm welcome with friendly and attentive staff.
Pub has good atmosphere. Would definitely revisit if in area again.
When we first walked in the staff just didn’t acknowledge us there was no table of 6 available so asked if we could move the table of 2 and table of 4 together as they were next to each other and both free. At first we was told no and then after a bit of explaining we was told we’d have to wait 15 minutes so they could clear the table. There was a tray with a few empty drinks on. 15 mins was up so we all went in and sat down the tray with drinks on was still on the table and the table hadn’t even been wiped. After all getting settled the waitress finally moved the tray and explained they was busy. We ordered drinks and food together. The drinks took 20 minutes to come. I had coke in a bottle and a glass with ice in. My ice was already half melted. Over an hour later our food came out. Burgers were dry. The Mac and cheese was the worst thing I had ever seen. It was like really stodgy porridge and did not taste of cheese at all. Any time we asked the waitress something she just made it seem like we was asking her to go above and beyond for us when really we wasn’t being difficult even in the slightest. At the end we go to pay and they add a 10% service fee without even asking. Why would I want to pay 10% of my nearly £150 bill for a poor and quite disgusting service. The only plus’s side to this place was the decorations, the mayonnaise and the fact they allowed dogs in
We pre booked as a pre show treat, wish we didn’t! The menu was limited and one of the dishes wasn’t available. As there was a choice of 4 things that was 25% of the menu.
The terrine starter was supposed to come with sour dough, but instead was dry cheap whole meal bread, limp lettuce and no butter, the chicken schnitzel was under seasoned, dry, yet greasy, the potato’s burnt and a microscope was needed for the veg, but at least they were there, unlike the walnuts in the coffee and walnut cake which had gone awol, but I don’t blame them to be honest!! On a positive, lovely view of the cathedral

After placing an order on Just Eat the restaurant did not acknowledge the order after 30 minutes and Just Eat calling them too. Ended up cancelling the order
Shabby, the waitress barely acknowledges you and sits on the floor of the pub looking at her phone… I asked to clean the table and she left all the crumbles/dirt from previous customers.
