Kashmir Tandoori in Canterbury

I ordered food at 1925 and the time is now 2140. I’m still waiting for my food and keep getting told it is on his way they can stick it where the Sun don’t shine as far as I concerned doesn’t take two hours to do a delivery. Terrible Customer Service tried to ring a few times and they just literally end the call

This restaurant is very nearer to cathedral.Yesterday we went to this restaurant, we had paratha with tandoori butter chicken, veg fried rice, chicken briyani,chicken tikka, all are very tasty. Rest rooms also well maintained.

The food was very basic, the only saving grace was the roti period. The shop service was very basic. One wouldn’t expect such a basic service at those prices.

Awesome food, tasty and delicious. The mango chutney and beetroot chutney are my favourites here. Tandoori was first class. The hospitality they give amazing. 🤩

Food is ok, but I constantly tell them I'm allergic to cucumber and so often my food comes delivered in a container with cucumber in the garnish. Wasted so much money over the years and it's a shame because otherwise it's an ok restaurant.

I’ve had good food from here previously but this order was very poor. Bland bhuna, dry rice and onion bhajies, and the Dahl was a small amount of lentils in a very oily sauce . Very disappointing

I don’t tend to leave many reviews. I know that people generally try hard to do a decent job and make a living. So, this is the experience I had. I ordered at 19:20 through Uber eats. The Uber eats app showed delivery at 20:00 to 20:20. At 20:50 I requested an update on delivery through the app and again at 21:10; the response was limited to a statement that the provider would update the expected delivery time. That did not happen. I rang (for a second time) at 21:15 and after a long wait for an answer gave up. We had a sausage roll each. At 21:30 the meal arrived. The driver was polite and apologised for the delay. The meal was hot. The onion bhaji had fallen apart. The chicken starter was ok, adequate. The garlic nan bread was ok if raw garlic taste suits (I cook, I know how things taste.) the lamb buna and chicken madras were rather short of meat which I can live with but the sauces were watery with the distinct taste of uncooked chilli powder/curry powder (I cook, I have made that mistake and learned from it.) I hate food waste. The garlic naan, half eaten, went in the bin with the curry sauces. The dog had the slightly soft popadoms that had been provided free of charge (thank you for that, Kashmiri Tandoori but it can’t cover up for the rest of the experience.) The delivery driver was polite. Everything else was shoddy or worse. Believe the negative reviews. Somebody else should have a shot at running a take away in Edwinstowe.

What a charming place. The food had a unique flavor that we really enjoyed. The place was spotless, and the owner is wonderful. The staff were super friendly too.

This place is just incredible. We're big fans. It's consistently fantastic every time we visit. Hard to find anything better anywhere else. Top-notch all the way.

Was lovely even after I amended bits so my younger daughter would eat it

Absolutely fantastic as always.

I was very excited to try this restaurant, and with me and my girlfriend sharing our birthday om the same day we got a table of 8 with some friends and bookee in for 7pm. The menu offers everything you expect of an indian restaurant and it certainly didn't disappoint. We ordered poppadoms, which we did have to pay extra for (some places charge, some don't). I opted for the Kashmiri Chicken curry , which is cooked with banana. It was a very tasty dish, but i would say the naga i ordered for delivery later on in the month was better. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and is very central to the high street, about a 5-minute walk. The service was ok, although after we ordered at times it was a struggle to get their attention for additional drink requests. This also proved to be the case most when trying to pay the bill, which took over 4 seperate attempts and over 30 minutes. The restaurant was fairly busy, but not enough to merit slow service. Overall I would certainly go back for another experience, but i have had better Indian cuisines elsewhere. Would recommend.

Ordered 2 hours in advance via just eat, food was still 30 mins late. Food was updated as being delivered 15 mins before it was. All the food was cold and the garlic Naan had no garlic taste at all. Disappointed

Don't just don't missing items and food was late and cold

This is my local treat when I have been travelling with work, or on a weekend with family and friends, Kashmir Tandoori is the best you can find in Kent. Meat Biryani, Tandoori Butter Chicken, Lamb Jalfrezi, Meat Samosa, Onion Bhaji, Garlic Naan are firm favourites! Rahul and co are incredible hosts and you will always have an authentic experience when indulging in their meals. Highly recommended

We ordered a take away of two dishes, plus rice, and one poppadum . Cost £30!!! On arrival to collect, I had to wait about 8 minutes before anyone came to serve me. The meal then came out and the food was Luke warm, with a crushed poppadum. On getting home, we had to reheat the dishes. One was king prawn, and you had to search for the prawns with a magnifying glass, there were so few, swimming in a tasteless sauce. No vegetables. The second chicken dish consisted of just a few chunks of chicken thigh meat, which were in a bright red sauce, with no taste and had definitely not been marinated at all. Just a horrid meal, and I wish we’d had baked beans on toast, and not wasted the money. Don’t bother ordering from here.

Curry was distinctly average. Ordered chicken dopiaza and lamb korai and they were indistinguishable from each other and nothing special. Won't be rushing back. Delivery on time though.

First time customer, meal for 4, had 12 different items from the menu, selected the less spicy options and it was lovely, great flavours and taste, I asked if the vegetarian containers could be marked and they did that for us so no confusion when dishing up. Delivered at a specific time after placing order and the driver was on time.

Food is lovely but Due to road closure my take away was a bit cold as in plastic maybe have bag that keeps it hot !

Delicious food, service fast and sufficient If not a little overbearing and weird.

Being a solo diner, sometimes means being overlooked and getting bad service. My experience here was no exception. Completely indifferent staff that took ages just to bring me my drink (after taking it to the wrong table) My meal was finally served with un smiling, no eye contact server. The food itself was OK, nothing special, although the Jalfrezi did have a nice kick. Portion size was decent. After reading other reviews, I was ready for the unexplained £4 service charge sneakily added to the bill, sure enough, there it was. When I asked the server why, it was met with a complete confused shrug, he went and got a senior member of staff who said the I didn't have to pay it, so I politely said I wouldn't. If it's optional, then make that clear. No surprise that my custom was not thanked, again, not a smile from anyone. Definitely not returning.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere, but several meals served WITHOUT rice that should be paid separately ... this is not typical in Kashmir, it is only a way to increase prices. Please revise your menu and add rice to you dishes, as it should be in asian restaurants.

Good food, wide range of options and good value for money. Just a shame about the staff, they weren’t overly welcoming or friendly.

Really tasty except they forgot our bhajis which is a massive shame. It takes a minute to check an order before sending it out otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Kleines indisches Restaurant. Eher durchschnittlich, habe schon wesentlich besser Indisch in England gegessen. Vegetable Pakora, Tandoori Mixed Grill bestehend aus Lammkotelett Lamm Kebab und einem Hühnerschenkel. Geschmacklich eher Neutral dazu ein ziemlich fettiges Nan. Das Bier war Kalt. Letztendlich wurde noch eine Service Charge von vier £ ungefragt auf die Rechnung gestellt.

A wonderful gem of a restaurant that is perfect for a sumptuous lunch or dinner if you prefer Indian curries! The guys are very polite and amazing when it came to food quality and timeliness. This is my go to place whenever I am in the area for great food and relaxing atmosphere! Five stars.

I was utterly disappointed with the meal I ordered recently. The food was incredibly bland, and it seemed like the chefs forgot to season anything. It was a complete letdown as both my partner and I were looking forward to a nice meal. Sadly, the lack of flavor left us both dissatisfied and regretting our choice. It's safe to say that we won't be ordering from there again.

It is family business since 1963, authentic food and great staff. I would definitely recommend for those who want to taste indian , Bangladeshi or Pakistani food. Friendly staffs and professional service and served food on time.

Decent food, but i was charged £4 service charge for a £13.45 meal, how is that? It's nearly 30%. I assume that there's a minimum service charge, but that penalises single diners having a small meal, i only had 2 sides a naan and a beer, and i was charged an extra £4 for the privilege. The waitress could not explain the way they calculate the charge, and offered to remove it but I'd rather not get embroiled in a conversation like that leaving a sour taste after a decent meal. Was a shame

Food was very tasty. Just very dissapointed with the delivery. It was the same last time we ordered from here. Had a message saying enjoy your food. But it hadn't arrived. It then arrived 45 minutes later.

Food wise was good. Because they were short of staff, service was too slow. They served us chapati after our mains were almost finished. Would not recommend ordering lamb kebab. It was too chewy

Great food but delivery time takes so long over an hour.

Came here for dinner on the 24th May with my partner, the service wasn’t great while we were eating but truly was awful when it came to pay the bill, at first the older man working pulled my card out too fast and it declined, I said politely to try it again and it went through. He refused to accept this despite the receipt clearly saying authorised, he stood blocking me into the booth asking for another method of payment, even though I had already paid. He then made me open my banking bank to prove that the payment went through (which it had) at one point he even said I should leave my passport there. The food was okay but I was absolutely disgusted and furious at how we were treated I felt intimidated. This treatment of customers is embarrassing.

The best Asian and Indian food in Canterbury. The only thing to note is I wish there was more lamb in the keema naan.

Food was over an hour late we called the restaurant lots of times who kept saying it was on the way and they would call back but didn't, took so long to arrive one on the way so was all cold when arrived. Very disappointed and very hungry children waited along time

The food that arrived was nice but my dish was not what I ordered or even what the restaurant wrote on the lid I ordered a duck rogan josh but received a tandoori chicken rogan josh other than that was a pleasant meal despite being 30 minutes late

Food was nearly 2 hours late Restaurant stopped answering the phone - called more than 10 times trying to get through Eventually ordered elsewhere, then the food turned up Asked delivery driver to get restaurant to call us, when they rang we asked for a refund - which they agreed to do whilst on the phone but that was 3 weeks ago and refund hasn't been received

Had to chase few times on where our order was, ‘driver just left/3 mins away’. Called after 50 mins again, restaurant phoned driver and he was again 3 mins away. Over 1 hr past told delivery time it then arrived. Sadly was cold and had to leave majority. Not sure what happened but staff at restaurant were friendly and apologetic.

The Chicken Ceylon was more Tikka Masala than any Ceylon I have ever had.

Food turned up late but I can deal with that as it was only 10 minutes. I ordered cheese naans and got plain and had no rice. It was a shame as the part of my order I got was nice and if I ordered a plain naan I would have been happy with it but I didn’t I ordered a cheese naan. It was lucky I had 2 minute microwave rice in the cupboard

Tasty food but delivery is a lot longer than my usual Indian and you usually have to chase the restaurant as they don’t keep you up to date.
