Rahman's Golden Oven in Canterbury

Ordered on Uber eats. They accepted the order. Waited over an hour. It got to “wrapping up” the order and then they cancelled. Waste of time.

Food was lukewarm and chicken was rubbery.

Quick delivery, arrived really hot, best butter chicken we’ve ever had! Will be ordering again, super impressed.

Another great meal from these guys. Only Indian I use now, had a couple of favourites in Canterbury but this place beats them both. Thank you to all the chefs and staff involved.

Excellent evening at this Indian Restaurant. Mo was so professional, efficient and attentive. The food was outstanding, my start salmon tikka was so plentiful and tasty and also my boiled rice was so light and fluffy. You get good sized portions we had to take some home with us. I like the idea of bringing your own drink that really works to. Overall would definitely recommend.

Everything was great except two things: The Sag Paneer is basically paneer cubes and spinach thrown into some weakened down korma like sauce. Not how I like this dish. Secondly, 25% more expensive than other local Indian places.

Perfect. Amazing food, good price, attentive staff, what more could you want. Me and my family had a great time and left very happy. We'd hifhly recommend. Bring your own drinks but there's a shop only 2 shops away.

Avoid like the plague this is literally the worst ever Indian meal I’ve ever had the portions are completely stingy considering the price!! Absolutely zero flavour! The Nan bread was more like a tasteless chapatti, absolutely VILE!!! Only went here as it has 20% off also the veg curry was like a starch stew yuck yuck yuck

Was a bit bland not what I expected from the write up!

The food was absolutely lovely, each dish had its own individual taste. All the food came out at the same time and it was all hot too! The staff were really kind and calm, which made ordering much easier and more relaxed. It was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere of the restaurant was authentic but also very relaxed. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Had a brilliant food delivery from here a couple of weeks ago when I was staying in the area so wanted to go to restaurant to see if it was a fluke - definitely not. Had the exact same dishes and was really good again. Pretty little restaurant with nice friendly service. Would definitely recommend and will return if I’m ever back in the area again.

The curry's had taste but were very similar. One was supposed to be a phall but wasn't particularly hot. The keema naan was great but the garlic and cheese naan was dry. The starters were good and I would recommend. Beware of the 2.50 corking charge per person. Globally it was OK but nothing special.

Great food and very attentive, polite service. We really did enjoy our meal. They have no alcohol licence (which we didn't realise) but you can BYOB and they'll charge you corkage. Atmosphere fairly standard perhaps. Decor ok. They could improve the atmosphere with lighting. The same song was playing on a loop, which became quite funny once we'd spotted it.

I was unsure after looking at some reviews but we decided to try after so many places nearby slipping standards. We were absolutely amazed as this place was way more than expected. We will definitely be going here again and ordering take out. Great service and quality food. And to drink you own alcohol seam like your doing something naughty made the night. Well done to the team and the chefs

About the best curry I’ve had for a long time nice and hot and quick delivery

Food was cold on arrival and delivery was over an hour later than expected arrival. Spoke to restaurant was given false information about timings!

My daughter and I ate here last night. I haven’t been for years and it’s was hands down one of the best Indians I have had in a long time. We ordered from here a few months ago and had a great meal. Tonight was a very different experience. The delivery was late, an item was missing, two items were stone cold and the chicken tikka masala was much spicier than any we have had before

Our favourite Indian in the area. Excellent flavours, and each dish is different. We find that dishes can vary in style depending which cook is on duty, but they are always delicious. (Although if you like mild sweet curry, this menu may not be your style). Also very popular as a takeaway, so sometimes service can be slightly delayed. BYO alcohol - we always buy Cobra next door and they open it for you and provide glasses - they do sell 0% Cobra and soft drinks. We particularly love the Railway Beef and the Green Chili Chicken. We eat here at least once a month or get take out.

We went for a midweek dinner and it was an excellent experience. This is a traditional curry house with all the expected dishes plus some specials of their own. The food we had was delicious (king prawn puri, Rajasthan beef, chicken balti, saag paneer, pilau rice, Kashmiri rise). Portions are generous. Service was great too - friendly and professional. Prices are very good value. The best curry house we've found in Herne Bay.

My chicken rated like it had been in the freezer for months and then microwaved. Will never go back! Gutted I had to pay for this awful food!

The food from Rahman's is absolutely delicious. We had the chilli lamb, chicken tikka madras, jalfrezi, Tara deal, keema and garlic naans and a couple of pilau rice. The flavours were divine and the chunks of lamb melted in the mouth. My favourite restaurant and takeaway by a country mile. Highly recommended 👌

Previously lovely food from here and it was our favourite. So disappointed this time. Over 2 hours to deliver. Food had to be seasoned and reheated before we could eat it. Some had to be thrown away - it was just tasteless and unappetising. Poppadoms was the best part. Should have been offered a partial refund but this has been refused. Sadly, can’t afford to waste money like this so won’t risk using them again.

Four of us had a lovely meal. Very fresh, delicately spiced delicious food and excellent service. The restaurant has soft drinks so you can bring your own wine which they open for you. We had lamb bhuna and lamb Balti with lovely mushroom rice and coconut nan.

First order from Rhaman’s. The food arrived on time, piping hot and was really tasty.

This was by far the best Indian takeaway we have had. The food arrived hot, it was delicious you could taste the spices and the level of heat was perfect. the pieces of lamb in the saag were tender and the naan breads were divine. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommended 👌

I've been before, the food was very good Visited last night with the same group of friends. The food was terrible. Has the chef changed. I had the lamb chops ,which I'd had before, but this time, they were tough and covered in gloop. They were tough and grisly, the sauce covering it all up. And EXPENSIVE. £15. The chopped onions etc which are served with the poppadoms were old and wilted, definitely not fresh. Side dishes VERY small, dry and tasteless. Rice looked like it had been cooked days ago. £83.95 which included £2.50 each corkage was a complete joke. Oh and the toilets could do with a deep clean. Staff very friendly, but why wouldn't they be at those prices. Will not be going again. Shocking.

I absolutely normally love the green chilli curry it’s unique but tonight it had no flavour as usual and veg sides were oily to point had to bin which makes me sad because normally everything is nice and my favourite dish leaves me wanting more and more but not tonight hopefully just an off day will give them 1 more try to hope it comes back to how it was but sadly disappointed today

Waited a long time for takeaway, told a time then waited for collection for 20 minutes in restaurant to be told delay was big order they needed to get out. My first time trying this restaurant on a recommendation and food was okay. Not worth the wait and specific requests ignored, its not hard to not put cold onion slices ontop of your warm food. Will give another try and sit in and hopefully change opinion but had alot better in the area.

Sensational! 1st time I have tried here. After reading reviews, drove to Herne Bay to try them out. Great food, very friendly and polite staff. So impressed. Looks like I am doing long distance pick up’s again when it’s curry night.

Brilliant Restaurant, couldn’t do enough for us

enjoyed the food but I would say that the chicken Cylon was too spicy and not enough coconut in.

We ate here just before Christmas and we were the only diners eating in. We thought this would mean that we obtained excellent waiter service, but alas this wasn't the case. The waiter so busy taking telephone orders, that these took priority, or so it seemed, the service when we were attended to was excellent. The food was not spicy at all and my dish rather tasteless, my family enjoyed their meal. I was later advised that Bengali food favours the addition of more turmeric and less spice which may account for feelings on the food. I would say that we got an overwhelming feeling of cleanliness and it's an odd thing to say but the food was clean. This place is not licensed to sell alcohol which suited us as we are non drinkers. You can bring your own and they charge corkage. this might well be why it was empty in the week before Christmas.
