I'm not somebody to post bad reviews, but all 4 curries ordered for my brother's birthday meal were the most bland curries I've ever tasted in my life. 3 "tasted" exactly the same and the bhuna was nothing like any bhunas any of us have ever had... The poppadoms were the tastiest thing we ate last night...

I was happy the order was early but it would have been helpful to have known when it was on the way. There was no notification for that - only once it had been delivered.

Lady who almost always delivers was very friendly as always! Food delivered ahead of time predicted and was perfect as normal!

First time trying here but my goodness it was delicious and very hot on delivery. Driver was very pleasant. Will definitely use again in the future. Was even given 2 poppadoms with my order.

Absolutely shockingly bad take-away. On a positive note, and the reason for the one star is that is arrived on time and most of it was hot. But the food, a starter of tandoori mixed grill was a few nondescript pieces of slimy meat that tasted like they had been dragged out of a freezer for a quick defrost blast in the microwave. Two curries, one mild in a creamy coconut sauce, the other a naga hot curry with tomatoes both looked and tasted the same. A few bits of meat in a gloopy brown tasteless sauce, looking like something Southern Water would pump into the sea. Usually this is one for the dog, but I love Fido and with the price of Vets nowadays it went in the bin. Never again.

Greasy and not very flavoursome

Frankly, the whole experience was just really poor. Firstly, the food was very late. We contacted them through the app and was advised of a new time of 20-30 mins, but after 45 still no show. We rang and were told on the way. Food arrived but was cold and was of poor quality and poor value. The lamb was just gristle, the onion 'salad' was just chopped onion, and the peshawar nann, claggy, and unappetising. We're not usually ones for writing reviews and understand businesses are struggling, however, this was supposed to be a treat for us too, and after spending over £50 frankly felt very disappointed and a bit ripped off.

Always enjoy the curries from here! We normally have a tika and a phal. Always so fresh and tasty and prompt with the delivery. The phal is one of the nicest I've had with the heat and the flavour! Last night I made the mistake of ordering from tankerton tandoori which was the worst curry I’ve ever had binned most of it ,, so tonight I had another crack at it ,,whilst not mind blowing this was at least a decent curry the tandoori chicken was satisfactory and the lamb madras was actually flavourful and the lamb was good chunks of actual lamb ,, got a cash discount which meant my meal cost almost half the amount as it did from tankerton tandoori on just eat ,, so with that in mind these guys get a 3.7 out of 5

I’ve made some bad decisions in life ,, but ordering a curry from this place before reading reviews was probably the stupidest

Got a take away ,, first the positives ,, the other moon bahjis were decent and the poppadoms were fine ,, but negatives ,, tandoori wings 0/10 slimy not tandoored and borderline undercooked ,, meat madras 2/10 for a madras very little flavour strange colour for a madras bit watery ,, chilli rice 2/10 no heat just a green chilli chopped up in a normal rice ,, I try everywhere once but that’s it for these guys

We ordered a meal for whole family, 7 adults, lots of food. It arrived hot and all was very tasty, not oily as so Indians can be. We would definitely use them again. Very nice we all enjoyed it.

First time ordering from Tankerton Tandoori and it was delicious. The portion sizes are very generous and very friendly delivery.

I had a meat madras. The sauce was very watery, lacked depth of flavour and wasn't spicy enough. Onion bhaji was very nice. Lady who delivered was very friendly.

Worst takeaway of any kind I've ever had. Food had no flavour at all not just no heat but literally no flavour, I have never eaten anything so bland and tasteless. Feel like I'm ranting but it's well deserved can't believe we paid money for this food. Will never use again

Lovely & hot & the delivery driver was delightful, however I think the dishes could be a bit more flavoursome & more spices added, just a bit bland for us.

Fresh and tasty food and pretty generous portions. Just arrived a little later than expected and without updates on the app.

Food was bland. Tikka madras had no spice, the onion salad had more of a kick to it. The chips with the nuggets were soggy and greasy. Would not order from here again.

Probably the worst curry I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog and my dog is dead. Flavourless madras with chewy meat, flavourless vindaloo with no heat, no chillies,no fresh tomatoes, dried pilau rice, frisbee like naan bread akin to Odd Job’s bowler hat . Don’t waste your money orders from here, you’ll be disappointed.

I have to say it was delicious. I tried the chicken tikka rezala for the first time . Hot but not silly. Absolutely delicious. The biryani was also fantastic.Generous portions and piping hot on arrival. Top marks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delivery is fine, the qualities of the curries a different matter. Both curries ordered, very watery and without flavour. Chicken Madras & a meat chicken tikka curry. No substance to the curries in any way, very bland and thin watery sauce. You can even taste bad water in the sauce of the curries. Pilau rice, just flavoured and coloured not traditional Pilau rice. The mixed meat starter, chewy meat, flavourless and inedible. Mango chutney is liquid and again without flavour! Very disappointing, we will not be ordering from here again.

Simple food order. Missing naan bread and chicken was slightly pink still. They said they were very busy but with food being late, I’d rather it was later but all complete and cooked properly. Shame.

Nice meal well xooked and arrived piping hot. Only slight down side they don't do Keema Naan!

The Madras was very mild and the Mattar Paneer far too sweet with only 4 pieces of Paneer cheese. Quite disappointed.

Unfortunately, the poppadoms tasted like they'd been fried in old oil, and there was a general lack of spice and flavour throughout both the shashlik and the tandoori grill. Also, we didn't get the right rice. Felt a bit ripped off, and we won't be ordering from there again.

Good value for money for the quantity and delivery was early. I ordered a lamb dopiaza and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the tastiest curry I’ve had and there wasn’t much meat in it.

BLAND BLAND BLAND. We ordered korma and ticka masala as we didnt want heat but was expecting some flavour. It seemed like it was just chicken food colouring and cornflour. Shouldnt be allowed to call it a curry under the trade description act. If this was shop bought I would have demanded a refund☹

The food arrived exactly on time so 5 stars. The portions were plentiful. HOWEVER, the food quality was awful. Chicken korma congealed sauce and watery. Channa dhal tasteless, chicken tikka starter tasted odd and inedible. Pershwari rice was pilau rice with one lone sultana. Tandoori chicken was a good sized portion but came in a plastic bag covered in an oily sauce which looked like it came straight out of a microwave. Would not order from here again or recommend. Very disappointing.

Our food was so bland!!!! it was the worst Indian I've ever had!!! I will never order from here again. My samosas were just beef mince wrapped in filo pastry and our curries awful , so bland, mushroom rice was plain .

The second meal we’ve had here and it’s still not very good. The food was very salty and didn’t have much of a flavour other than the salt.

Food was lovely… I would order again. However my chicken tikka masala was actually beef I think. I did eat it as it was ok, but a little disappointed that I didn’t get my order as it should have been. Yummy though, and also on time to pick up, friendly staff member greeted us.
