The best restaurants serving Default food in Baughurst and Tadley North Basingstoke and Deane South East

Disgusting. Worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Lamb tikka stands out as the absolute worst- three small tiny pieces of cold meat covered in an awful cold thick paste. Awful. Avoid!

First time dining here and the food was delicious. Dahl was nice but a little bland and could of been more spicy. Thought the poppadoms were a little pricey and the rice portions were quite small. Chicken and lamb dish was tasty. Trio of desserts was scrumptious and my favourite was the tiramisu. Would return and recommend this restaurant.

Food served here is a must try for all. Could not recommend more, reasonably priced during the week and very well priced on Sunday for the roasts for the amount of food you get. Friendly staff and good atmosphere EE when busy

The best fish and chips I've had for a long time. The food is excellent and the staff very welcoming especially Sam and the lady with her. A lovely place to meet up with friends.

Went for lunch to try the Thai food. Good size portions and lovely food. Will definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu.

Great meal. A very traditional pub menu with a good selecting of specials. Friendly staff. Clean, well kept loos with NO stairs to get to them! Sadly no pictures of our food as we stuffed our faces too quickly and forgot. Plan to return SOON!

I loved the place and the patrons.

My wife and I visited Sands for a Saturday evening meal. Although I didn't mention that it was our 44th wedding anniversary at the time of booking, somehow they knew. (One of life's mysteries!!!)On arrival, we were taken to a most beautifully decorated table in an intimate alcove of the restaurant. There were really "special" flowers placed on the table along with scattered petals and love hearts. We ordered our meal and just sat back and admired the scenery overlooking a beautiful golf course - what a setting.Our starters came out followed later by our main courses and desserts. All of which could only be described as superb and presented beautifully. After our meal, we were brought a bottle of Champagne (courtesy of the house) and 2 glasses with 2 white roses along side to continue our celebration. A real treat from start to finish and totally unexpected.A special mention must go to HANNAH - our waitress for the evening. She is credit to Sands. A really delightful girl who shines at front of house duties.And to Alex (the restaurant Manager) who was obviously behind all the surprises.Thank you to all the staff at Sands and to the Chef for making our evening so memorable.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a celebration or just for an evening out in beautiful surroundings.

There was quite a large group of us on a very busy night, with a couple of other large groups as well as couples and foursomes, which might explain why the service wasn’t quite on point, but I had the best curry I’ve ever eaten and everyone in our party said how good the food was. Tasty and fresh and the special requests (and there were a few) were met without problem.

Food is great from here compared to other Chinese Takeaway I have tried.

We wanted an authentic chocolate box country pub to take our new Chinese in laws to. A pub that had a great reputation for high class cuisine & service. We arrived at beautiful pub with lovely gardens. We were treated like royalty and the food was perfect. I recommend you book well in advance as it’s extremely popular. Ours was a table for eight. You won’t get a table for more unless you hire their private room where you have your own dedicated waiting staff. Every one of our party loved their choices from the menu so I won’t speak on behalf of them. As far as my choices were concerned; I ordered the terrine which was delicious, for my main, I had Brixham Skate which tasted as fresh as if it had been just taken off the trawler in Brixham harbour, and my desert was the Sticky Toffee Pudding with clotted cream. Just the right texture and the taste was devine. All our meals were served in a timely manner at the right temperature and with great service thrown in. The Chinese live to photograph their meals; well anything that moves to be fair, and our ordering took a little longer than usual due to translating, but our servers were extremely polite and understanding of the added time it took. Thank you so much Simon and all your staff for a great dining experience. I’m not brilliant at writing reviews but I thoroughly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants that special dining experience.

Takeaway was really nice, would eat in the restaurant if I had the chance.
