The best restaurants serving Default food in Marple North Stockport North West

We had been for a walk around the lake and rather than go straight home , decided to nip in for a coffee. The outside space desperately needs cheering up. It needs jet washing as do the tables and chairs . The area is mottled with bird poo . The peace was disturbed by the waitress clattering around clearing chairs and tables as it wasn’t far off closing . Coffee tepid .

This place is a gem. First visit here but would definitely come again. The fish and chips are so fresh and tasty. and very good sized portions.

Total rip off - £12.50 for two iced lattes - that weren’t very good. That’s more expensive than London The hash browns were nice though.

Really nice pub, food was good and service was excellent. And literally a stones throw away from the train station.

Quite when we visited. Only two separate diners at 7pm Enjoyed food and service was good and prices are very reasonable. Enjoyed the food.

Not been to this branch in 3 years and its untidy and we had the toasties which were limp not crispy rather disappointing

Don’t go if you fancy some nice fresh ‘chippy chips’ Went in, no muffins, ok, not a major catastrophe. Just ordered chips. 2 seconds later out from the back with a bag of chips in a plastic bag. No ‘salt and vinegar?’ Asked. Just handed over. Clearly been bagged up a while. Asked for S&V and put on my own. Got to car and tasted one! Most definitely oven chips 🙈………hard and dry! Oh well, lesson learned

First time we have been to the Devonshire Arms and were really impressed the interior is lovely but the food was outstanding, the quality and presentation was impressive. We all had different a selection of dishes and they all looked great. My friend had GF bread and said it was the best she has had. Vinnie was a very attentive waiter and made sure we had everything we needed, he is a polite young man. We have already booked to come back

Terrible. Don’t go. Why? Because it’s never been open when I’ve been! Just walked out there today with my daughter, and we hoped to have lunch and drinks. But it was shut, despite stating it’s open on a Tuesday from noon. This is the THIRD time I’ve been (all different days and times) and it was shut each time. I’ve checked the website and socials and there’s no indication they’re shut. Terrible service for such a remote pub.

This establishment has improved,the mixed chicken and donner Kebab had plenty of meat which was succulent. The Salad was also plentiful and fresh. What lets it down is the bread I ordered the Kebab on Naan. Basically it was a large tortilla type wrap. If this was better then they'd be hard to beat.

It was my parents 71st wedding anniversary meal. The Midland team had left a card on the table congratulating the happy couple and complementary free first drinks for them. We had a lovely round table with lots of room especially good having elderly parents and walkers. The service was super nothing too much trouble and the food was great. Fish and chips x 4 and 2 x chicken. Which was all amazing everone really enjoyed it. My mum really liked the sticky toffee pudding as a treat. We had a lovely late afternoon meal and the Midland team made it all the more special. Thankyou.

Sorry to say this , Jayne doesn't know anything about customer service . She is often rude . I am autistic ,which she doesn't seem to consider . Other staff are perfect .

Pathological liar, thief and charlatan. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately owned by a large chain who impose the accountants view on how to run a coffee shop. It's not a restaurant, it's a cafe in a garden centre. Minimal menu after 1130 breakfast over. Small selection of cakes and hot cross buns, but they are cold. They don't do tea cakes toast or hot cross buns after 1130. You can order a meal, but no small items
