Awesome Indian restaurant in the village. Food was amazing and service was very friendly. The location was great within the village, parking is on the street or co-op (pay and display). It's quite an intimate venue, the way it's all set up in like booths so the atmosphere wasn't as good (when we visited) but I would highly recommend it. We shall no doubt be using this place as a takeaway too

Food cold on arrival, egg fried rice?No egg to be seen. Dark and had no taste. Seems its been stood for a while or reheated? Sweet and sour chicken. So tough the chicken pieces were impossible to cut with a knife. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like boiled sugar. Just two weary looking pieces of green pepper in there too. A very disappointing experience, never again!! A complete waste of money as its inedible and 99% has been binned.

Came with a friend to watch an artist. Had a fantastic afternoon. The staff were fab there was a warm friendly atmosphere and the musician Paul was great. A fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to my next visit *****

Had a great lunchtime experience here today. Came across the pub by pure chance and what a gem it is. Delicious higher end pub food menu and beautifully prepared, scrumptious dishes. That together with being able to enjoy some lovely October sunshine sat outside the pub made for a memorable lunch treat. I’m normally a very critical type but this place ticked all the boxes for me!!

I didn't dine in so this review is about a takeaway. Odd times I like to treat myself and I've been to the Shajan restaurant since the very early days when it was little more than a bungalow with my late wife. So being of an age where sometimes things are difficult I decided on a takeaway and ordered a takeaway I have had before, Lamb Sal Boti. When i got it home it looked awful and when I tasted it, it was. Half of it went in the bin, the sauce was watery and there was one large chunk of lamb in the middle plus other smaller lumps. After years of dining and takeaways at the Shajan will I go again? It will take a long time to think about it.
