Standard chippy grub at a premium price. Unfortunately there's only two dedicated chip shops in Longridge and both charge a LOT for Standard chippy grub. That being said, staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

It was my last day in lancashire as i was on holiday and leaving later on that day and i went into the chippy and there were two really kind ladies who took our orders and freshyly made our food. Once I got back to the holiday home I sat down and started eating and I will say this is hands down the best food i have ever had from a chippy and its food was leagues better than any chippy in birmingham. I had battered sausage with cheesy chips and a scollop aswell as a drink to go with it. The batter on the scollop and the battered sausage were perfectly crispy and the potato and sausage on the inside were cooked to perfect temperature. The cheesy chips were incredible and were by far my favourite chips i have ever had. One last thinging because the things we ordered were in large amounts the food i just listed was mine but there was also four of my other family ordering aswell so they dealt with the pressure really well and still managed to give us great food also we got a box to carry the large amount of food boxes in which i have never seen before. So is you are in lancashire definately try out this chippy!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The fish is always so fresh - lightly bartered and crisp - with proper mushy peas and non greasy chips … delicious!

I love this chippy! It's the only one I will go to. Sam is so lovely and chatty, and Jayne makes the best food. The specials are amazing, I love the salt and pepper chicken special :)

Called in to get fish and chips with my granddaughter on Friday night. It was busy but was happy to wait. The fryer lady was complaining how busy it had been, swearing as well! Then she yelled at Cath who was serving as she had left over fish bites! Apparently she hadn't served the correct amounts on the order. Cath answered her back and it was then a shouting match between them. I wasn't the only customer in the shop. Found this very unprofessional especially as my young granddaughter was with me. I won't be visiting again!

I've literally just been to top chippy I can not fault the food at all, we are all very happy with the food, we just had it and its got to be one of the best chippy food ive had in years.

I rang my order in to collect as I know there’s genuinely a wait for fish. As I got there I saw my order ready, sitting on the side. 2 old ladies asked me to wait outside as they hadn’t yet ordered, I said, loud enough for staff to hear me, “I rang my order in.” Staff didn’t even glimpse at me so I was forced to wait outside watching my food go cold! What was even more annoying was that when the ladies did order they stayed in the shop! So again, I said I rang my order in and the lady serving said “oh yeah it’s here.” Staff really should be telling customers to wait outside once they’ve ordered or better yet pay more attention to those who are saying loud enough for them to hear “I rang my order in!” Food was cold apart from the gravy and it should’ve been cooked longer as my sausage and chips were slightly hard. Sorry but I think I will stick to Stonebridge chippy!

I used to go here occaisionally when it was the original owner. It changed hands a couple of years ago, only been twice since. The service was mediocre at best but the food was awful, the girl serving even commenting to the guy frying that the chips were no good but he told her to serve them, I should have walked out at this point. They were worse then they looked. Not been back since and wont ever.

We moved to Longridge 4months ago and this was our first visit to a local Chippy - we were not disappointed. Our lightly battered fish and chips were tasty and beautifully cooked and service was warm and friendly. We shall definitely return to the Top Chippy which in our opinion ranks with the Magpie in Whitby and the Swan in Southport as one of the best Chippies in the north.

Not a bad chippy at all. Conventional side-on layout, with a small eat-in room up the steps at the rear. For takeaways, remember to place your order as you come through the door. Oh, and the food's great too. I understand that they sometimes stay open late for the convenience of users of The Palace over the road, but don't bank on it...

So no hi hello or anything as I entered with my daughter and friend... 1st pic small fish and chips. Carton of gravy and a lollipop costing me £7.20 2nd pic my friends bought a child's fish and chips with a drink a lollipop and even a wipe for afterwards. I asked the girl serving the price as I couldn't see the to not having my glasses. She should of recommended a child's meal as she knew it was for my child. I was fuming. No chit chat whilst waiting. No thanks or goodbye and they looked like they wasn't legal age to be using a fryer.

Decided for a quick chippy dinner with the kids, sat in as easier, children’s meals were great value for money and so good they ate the lot, the ice cream was really good ice cream, so good I had some myself. My meal was a really good size, good price & probably the best chips I have ever had. The place is spotless, the staff were kind and friendly. We will 100% be back.

The fish was so fresh and the batter thin and crispy...perfect. Sat in with a friend and throughly enjoyed our fish n chip lunch. I had the Irish curry sauce as well., she had mushy peas. Can't fault any of it. The staff were very friendly nothing was a problem.

I can be brief here... I know it’s only fish and chips but everyone knows there is a great variation from chip shop to chip shop and finding a great chippy is brilliant. Ate here last night and can honestly say the quality of the fish was excellent. Together with the chips, both cooked to perfection. Just fantastic. Staff right on point. My go-to place for F&C now. Well done and thanks to the staff. It’s a top-chippy!

Been twice...can't fault it. Delicious fish lightly battered and good chips. The staff are so helpful and pleasant. Will be going again and again for sure. Both times we sat in and there was no rush and made to feel very welcome.

We had a chippy here and despite some of the reviews here it was really good! The portion sizes were more than enough unless you are of alarger frame..... The fish was cooked well, not too greasy, chips were really nice and the Irish curry sauce was perfect! We'll definitely go again!

This chippy is cheap and the chips are great. The chippy itself is well kept and really clean and the staff are very friendly. I always like getting curry sauce and they have to different options, Irish and fruity both great!

Come here with my husband all of the time as we live locally. Great customer service and great food. Only Problem is the parking around there which we can never get a parking spot. Must try the curry sauce delicious. Quick preparation time and tasty food. Must go to....

Excellent fish, chips and sausage at the Top Chippy. Despite a packed place on a Monday night (the fabulous Palace Cinema opposite is screening Mama Mia) after a short wait in a long queue - I left with what turned out to be the king of “chippy teas”.. Haddock very tasty and nicely cooked with crispy but not overly thick batter, the chips tasty, creamy and done to perfection. Even the often bland “chippy sausage” was a firm slightly smoked quality sausage that tasted great. Out of 10 - yep, that’s a solid 10 for good service and great tasting traditional food. Do go and give them a try.

Everything was cooked OK and tasted OK but portion sizes were ridiculous for the cost. Kids fish and chips came with more chips than an adults Pudding and chips! Also very expensive. Will stick to stonebridge chippy.

Portion sizes reduced, prices increased and fish very dry. Not anywhere near as good as it used to be. Won't be going again.

Went in at 8.10. Family of four looking for some tea/supper. Felt really guilty asking for a fish. Sausage for kids was a no no based on a 6-7 minute cooking time. Didn't like to ask for a 'tea cake' so Chips it was. I like food with texture but gritty chips? Really poor food, ice cold welcome and service with a grimace. Waste of hard earned cash. Big disappointment.

As many of my regular readers will be aware my wife and I consider ourselves quite the experts on fish and chips and we are not easily pleased. So it was with great pleasure that we found this little gem so close to our new home in Lancashire. Not the cheapest fish and chips but we are more than happy to spend a little more for quality. Well worth a visit and if the regular queues outside are anything to go by mand do visit.

I cannot begin to express my dismay.

Visited on the 21st January before going to cinema ... arrived and found the "eat in" section was closed as they were short staffed. However he managed to open which was great as it saved us going back to the car. This chippy has got great reviews and they are well deserved. Great fish in a light crispy batter (i noticed a sign saying all the fish is lightly battered) served with with nice chips and mushy peas. i noticed a posting saying grumpy Tony. Cant believe it as Tony was so great and popped up to the eating area for quick chat ... nice guy!

We travel here from Mellor because its the best chippy around! We have been coming here for years and the food has always been fantastic. There is a wide choice of menu and even gluten free fish and chips Wed & Thurs nights. Tony is lovely, always friendly & professional and we have always had a good experience. Keep up the good work Tony. I would recommend Tonys Top Chippy to everyone.

Well what can I say about this place, I live miles away but make a point of calling here when I'm in the area! Having used this chippy since it's been open, I've never once had a bad experience. The fish is gorgeous and always cooked to perfection, you can tell that Tony cares about the quality of each and every meal and contrary to what I have read on another review on here, is always warm and friendly. I get the impression that Tony is well known in the area and is always chatting away to locals! The staff are incredibly friendly and I can honestly say I've never had anything but a positive experience here. If you're local or out of town I would recommend here before popping over to the Palace cinema - one of the country's last few independent cinemas.

This chippy has the grumpiest owner ever. He can't smile. He is never pleased to see customers and grunts at his staff. Is staff however couldn't be nicer how they work for him I would never know.

I have just moved to Longridge, I don't know many good places to eat, but a quick Google search for fish and chips lead me to this review page. I almost passed on it though, because it had just 5 reviews, when I noticed they were all top mark reviews I decided to check the location of the shop and it was only 1 minute away from my house. After queuing for 30 minutes to get served, due to the obvious popularity of this relatively small chippy, I eventually got home with 2X Haddock and chips with mushy peas and Irish curry sauce and the food was one of the best I've ever had! I love food and always go for quality over everything else. I highly recommend this place, if you have time to wait to get served. If you can't stand for prolonged periods of time, send someone who can. The only downside for me is that I wasn't a fan of the mushy peas, but that's just my personal taste. I would drive over 30 mins round trip to eat there again, if I had too, luckily I don't need too, ha!

TTC serve the best fish, chips and pies in the area. If you're visiting the Longridge Cinema then a trip to Tony's Top Chippy is a must.....you can even reserve a table in the back room, like we did for my husbands birthday It's excellent

Fantastic chippy. The batter on the fish is light and a nice golden colour, just about right for me (none of this thick greasy stuff). Not that I need it, but they also offer gluten free batter on certain nights which I think is a good idea. The Irish curry sauce is amazing. Top chippy.

Top chippy indeed. Succulent fish encased in a crisp light batter, no thick, stodgy batter from Tony! The fish was served with tasty mushy peas and a side of potato scallops - a delicious top quality meal. The citizens of Longridge are certainly very fortunate, I will have to travel over a 100 miles to experience this fine food again; but return I will!

Just dined in at the cafe area and it is an 11/10 from me. Friendly, efficient service, generous portions and top quality fish and chips. I will be sure to visit again soon and recommend to all family and friends. With a quaint cinema across the road it could be a good night out for all. It exceeded expectations - overall a very happy customer.

Found this chippy while on holiday. Sadly i live 300 miles away or the family would be here at least three times a week given the chance ! Piping hot food and service with a smile and a joke. I was given a small refund as the fish came out smaller than normal, not many shops would have done that ! Nice size chips and never swimming in grease. Also will do gluten free batter on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Full marks from us !
