Great place and it's a lot bigger than you think from the outside. Good choice of drinks and not at ridiculously high prices, great friendly atmosphere too. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

We often visit this cafe when walking the Whitegate Way. Brilliant value tea with the largest teapot I have ever seen! Soft drinks and food quite expensive. Environment is lovely and the young staff very hospitable. The only thing that is a shame is how short the opening hours are and how often they close. Plan ahead and this can be part of a beautiful walk. Dog friendly too (though you have to sit outside).

We went for an evening meal We were warmly greeted and shown to the bar and given menus while we waited for our table. We were the only ones in the restaurant but other tables were set up for later bookings. The service and food was all excellent and couldn’t fault any of it. We shall be returning

Love this place! The food is always fresh and tasty. Their salt and pepper chips are unreal, and the salt and pepper chicken is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. The homemade chop suey rolls are a must-try too—so good! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything here. This is my go-to spot when I’m craving something delicious!

What has happened to our favourite chippy? Not for the 1st time the chips were awful!! White in colour barely cooked through, gravy you could cut with a knife! Where are the other cooks who use to be there?? On a plus pie’s still great. Just a pie in future Great shame it’s gone down after all these years, hope someone sorts it

I can only describe this place as a complete and utter shambles. I booked a table for 6pm and was stood waiting for 15 minutes. I had to go next door as it was linked to a take away, to get a member of staff. Met with a disgruntled staff member, who came into what they describe as a restaurant, to be told its not our fault the bell is not working and throws 2 takeaway menus on the table and left for the takeaway next door. I noticed a couple in the corner who had looked like they had a torrid time but stuck with it. With that, I said, this is a joke and we left. Not for couples, definitely not a restaurant, it’s a takeaway playing at being a restaurant.🤣 On a happier note, we went straight to another place. Have always loved it there but was just charged £8.25 for a medium glass od badic wine!! Wow

Great food and brilliant service! Parking is not so convenient but if you manage to go there you will be very pleased with the food you get!
