Balti House Restaurant in Cheshire West and Chester

I can only describe this place as a complete and utter shambles. I booked a table for 6pm and was stood waiting for 15 minutes. I had to go next door as it was linked to a take away, to get a member of staff. Met with a disgruntled staff member, who came into what they describe as a restaurant, to be told its not our fault the bell is not working and throws 2 takeaway menus on the table and left for the takeaway next door. I noticed a couple in the corner who had looked like they had a torrid time but stuck with it. With that, I said, this is a joke and we left. Not for couples, definitely not a restaurant, it’s a takeaway playing at being a restaurant.🤣 On a happier note, we went straight to another place. Had a meal when we eventually got served and only 4 people in at the time. The meals where charged a a completely different rate to the menu only realised later. Customer next to us had to clean the floor as a drip of curry was on the floor( the waiter asked her to clean it up)

We love the food here, always nice to treat ourselfs here. The service is great, and the owner alwasy makes you a coffee when you wait,

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday with friends (table of 8) very professional, absolutely no issues and the food was beautiful cooked. Ate is on a number of occasions and service has always been fantastic

This restaurant never fails to serve an excellent curry, either in the restaurant itself of just grabbing a quick takeaway. Returning from holidays always means a great curry from our Balti!!!

Very good value, friendly staff. Service good, enjoyed the evening. Would be good for parties, works night out. Easy to find as is on the main road.

Poor service. Over charged on drinks then tried to deny it. We had to ask for the menu back and prove he had overcharged. Didn't provide fresh plates between meals, cleared plates when people were still eating off them. Slow to take orders although no other customers were waiting. Birthday meal for sons 16th ruined really because we left feeling very aggrieved and badly treated.

My husband and I have often dined here because we love the delicious food and great atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

My Wife and myself have used this restaurant several times over the last 3 years, and it has always been excellent. 2weeks ago when we had friends down from Edinburgh, we booked a table for the 4 of us, and we were not disappointed, The quality and selection of the food and the service was top class. ( as always). Another plus in my opinion is the fact that they are not licenced, so one can take ones own wine of choice from home. I would recommend the Balti House without hesitation to anyone looking for a quality Indian meal with an endless choice of different dishes Also worthy of mention is the Balti Cottage take away next door (same owners ), which we have also used many times, where the quality of food and choice of dishes is equally good.

great food at at reasonable price. It's made even better deal as you can take your own beer and wine in with you

It was a good meal, service wasn't as quick as it could've been. The meal was nice and my kids seem to enjoy. I wont be dining again but I probably will order in one night.
