Treated my mum to afternoon tea and it excellent. We both agreed it was fantastic value for money. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and the cakes and scones were delicious. We were sat in a lovely cosy area. We both said we would definitely visit again.

Celebrated my birthday with my aqua aerobics group with an afternoon tea. The food was so fresh, delicious and plentiful. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. I have been here a few times and it never fails to disappoint. Great value too.

My daughter booked a table here for a joint birthday afternoon tea. It’s a lovely quaint little place and it felt very cosy. The food was excellent, very tasty and very fresh. The cakes were beautiful and the scones were warm too. The service was also excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come here again it’s by far the best tearoom I’ve been to. Well done!

My birthday treat from 2 of my daughters. 1 bought the prosecco and 1 the afternoon tea. So enjoyed myself, the food selection was great and all homemade. Can highly recommend a visit here when you can. A really nice place to sit and just have a bit of the quality time we all deserve. Thank you so much Martina and gang for helping to make my day a special one xxxx

Tea room by day, pub by night. Had a portion of fries, which were lovely. Then a cream tea, also excellent. Homely decor and friendly service to put a smile on your face. The chef was very keen to tell us about his cakes, and he looks like he's eaten a few of them - a good sign! Will definitely return.

This is a really great dance to visit, the staff are great and the food is tasty/ flavoursum. But what makes the place is the quirky interior with door for nice and mystery items all over the place, my grandkids loved it!

Called in on way to Tarr Steps. Food was delicious I had the Stilton And spinach quiche and hubby had cheese ploughman’s. We managed to squeeze in some delicious cakes as well. Would definitely recommend for food and very friendly welcome.

Popped here with my daughter today for a bite to eat. The place certainly suits its name 'cosy' as that's exactly what it is - super cute. Ordered a pot of tea which was in the cutest little teapot with a china cup. We both ordered poached egg on toast followed by the yummiest cake ever - chocolate and caramel - very naughty but oh so very nice! Lovely little cafe, staff are so lovely and we will definitely be returning. Many thanks 😘

Had afternoon tea today at The Cosy Tea Room in The Gate, Winsford. The food, tea, and service were all excellent and for £19.00 for 2 it was also excellent value. Will definitely recommend to friends

What has happened to this once lovely place. Cheese slices on bread for a sandwich. Inch thick flat white scones. Certainley not homemade or made by someone who cannot cook. 80pounds for 8 of us a big let down. One of the few places in winsford that used to offer a nice afternoon but has gone downhill.

70th Birthday Celebration We all absolutely loved our Afternoon Tea. We had read the reviews and seen the photos, however, they did not prepare us for the outstanding customer service, quality of food and wonderful atmosphere in the lovely laid out tea room. We would all highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back ourselves.

I am staying at BW for work and booked dinner at Hilltops on my first night. I was initially nervous that there didn't appear to be anything suitable for vegans on the menu, but I double checked with the receptionist, who was very helpful and communicated my request to the restaurant. This was a short-notice request, so I was not expecting much, but the chefs went above and beyond. The tofu & veg curry was really tasty, and the choc fudge cake was delicious. I couldn't eat it all in one sitting, but the team prepared the leftovers for me to take to my room and eat later. Thank you to the talented kitchen team and wonderful front of house team at Hilltops!

We were visiting the Anderton Boat Lift which is just 10 minutes down the towpath from The Moorings. As the coffee shop there was quite full after the boat trip we decided to try somewhere else close by. The Moorings is a little gem of a place, run by chefs, so expect hotel like presentation of excellent food, which is worth waiting for. This is a totally different dining experience from the usual canal side cafe. Dogs are allowed inside on the hard floor area, but we sat outside with ours as it was a beautiful day and we could admire the canal boats in the marina.
