Absolutely gorgeous food, HUGE portions for such a good price, pictured is the chicken fajitas (comes with 2x wraps and salad), then 2 of the burgers. Extensive menu, amazing food, lovely little place, so lucky to be local to here! Would recommend to anyone

Visited this restaurant last night while on a work trip all the way from Essex. The restaurant looked promising and had very modern decor. The food however did not live up to the look of the place. I ordered a butter chicken, which I always have all over the country. This one came up bright pink/red and the chicken was strange chewy thin strips. The rice was dry and the naan bread was like flat bread with some garlic on it. My coworker ordered a Chicken Biryani. The sauce on it wasn’t bad but very average. The rice very dry and it has a boiled egg on top - which was slightly grey all around and the inside was ENTIRELY BLACK. Jet black and tasted horrible. Not impressed at all especially for the price of the place.

I used to stay in Best Western hotels about 15 years ago for work and they were always great. Now it looks like they've had nothing done to them since then. Cumbria Park is the second Best Western I have stayed in in the last few months and they were both pretty much the same. The staff were great, very friendly and informative. There was a lovely lady on reception when I arrived. But I feel really sorry for them having to work in a hotel that's crying out for an update. The reception area is nice but my room was pretty dire. The window looked straight out onto the street so it felt like anyone walking past could look right in and the double glazing was rubbish so it was quite noisy from the main road. The layout of the room wasn't great, you have to squeeze between the bed and the chair at the desk, and I'm not a large person. Don't know how they'd get on. There is a desk but you can't really use it as the TV is right over it, giving you nowhere to sit at your laptop. Clearly they don't expect anyone to use the desk! It's a shame as I was told it used to be a fabulous hotel and it's in a good location, but it needs work and some money spending on it.

Came for a family meal on a Sunday ..chose the carvery from the menu and was not disappointed, arguably the best quality carvery anywhere I have eaten... Organisation was second to none, service was prompt and staff were extremely helpful, will definitely be visiting again..

Told server I wanted the fish and chips for £10.50 (according to their website I know expensive but it usually is nice) was told it was £10.90 queried this and was made to feel a pratt by a guy wearing a top with chris on even though his name is jack who showed me his phone linked to the website and told me the price i stated was wrong in front of everyone in the shop paid for the meal and got home 5 min drive away opened box tasted cold chips and a not so fresh fish (maybe because i complained about the price in shop compared to the website

I have tried Chinese Takeaways from many places around the country and Sunrise is quite probably the best I have ever eaten. Consistently, all the dishes I have tried have been packed full of flavour and in generous portions. The Salt & Chilli Chips, Prawn Toast and Satay Chicken are particularly exceptional. I don't normally write reviews, but after trying 7-8 other Chinese takeaways in Carlisle before discovering Sunrise, it really is and remains, worth the drive to. If you haven't tried it... DO IT. Run. Dont walk. Thank me later.

On returning from a round trip to Morecambe we were ready for lunch. I suggested to my friend to turn off the M6 att Carlisle as easy access to Morrisons. When living in the Forth Valley area I often used their cafe at the Stirling store & was never disappointed with my meal. I was very surprised that there wasn`t a Queue. We both chose fish, chips & garden peas. When it arrived the fish was tiny & curled up on our plates, the chips must have been made hours before & left under a heat lamp, the peas were just edible. I had never visited Morrisons for some time as their nearest store to me is 35 miles away in Dumfries & after this visit I doubt whether I will ever visit again. I was totally embarrassed as I was treating my friend to what I expected to be a first class lunch.
