We ordered from here on Saturday evening 24 September, we chose the Small Fish, chips & mushy peas as we always struggle with their large portions, well it says Small fish and chips but, it was a really good size and those chips were just perfect, mushy peas finished it all off nicely. Keep doing what you do best as this new shop is as good as your other shops in Scotch Street and Newtown Road you’ve got it just right 5* every time for us and our family.

Friendly and very efficient service at this gem of a chippy. The food was excellent and good value for money. If you haven’t tried the homemade patties before - give them a go they’re delicious! Had a lovely chat with the owner who took pride in telling us about the family business. Would highly recommend.

We were really happy when we saw that The Fryery was coming to Stanwix. We’ve lived in Stanwix for 24 years and its about time we had a decent chippy in the area. Our 1st takeaway there was delicious, we all enjoyed it. Look forward to our next chip shop tea 😊

Called to ask for less cheese on my pizza (as I have always done it because I can’t seem to find a less cheese option on the website) a non-native English speaker guy picked up the call and started arguing with me immediately. I understand by the time I called to ask for less cheese he already put the pizza in the oven, completely understandable. But that can be said nicely, I just think he was being rude for no reason. Food is lovely as always and I will for sure order again.

Don't get me wrong, when you go and get fast food, you're not going in with the same expectations as you would with a fine dining experience. This is especially true when after ordering, you have to stare down a deliveroo/just eat driver, who is standing at the desk blocking customers from collecting their food. Hats off to the young server who told the three delivery drivers that were crowding the counter to move over to the side. Where was the manager/supervisor to control this situation? Does nighttime foot fall to the restaurant fall so far below the money made from deliveries? Ordered 9 chicken selects, given 9 chicken nuggets. Were it not for the price difference, I probably wouldn't have said anything. But when you pay £7.98 for 9 selects vs £5.99 for 20 chicken nuggets, i think anyone would feel they were getting g a raw deal. Items changed, but it did mean I had to point out the difference with the receipt vs. the packaging. In retrospect, however almost wish i had kept the nuggets, as the thinner selects were very tough, almost dessicated, not a pleasurable experience, when something that is supposed to be tender with a crisp coating felt more like trying to chew some form of jerky. Overall, it was a disappointing visit, and it begs the question: Is this why reduced price flyers are being pushed through letter boxes?
