It's been a very long time since I had a really delicious meal in a pub and I was starting to despair, but the Crown Inn has restored my faith that good food is still out there, finding the Crown Inn has made our weekend stay near Carlisle very memorable, the Ladyboy was without doubt the tastiest burger I've had and the service was impeccable. We will return. 😁 PS. Dog friendly too.

Lovely pub with mostly pleasant members of staff and very nice food even though it was a bit of a wait...

Stayed at hotel across the road from the Crown Inn and needed some grub and somewhere to watch the Spain v Germany match. Entered the Crown, and what a find….. great atmosphere, lots of TV screens, wonderful lady host who runs the pub alongside her team and to cap it all, the best gammon meal I’ve ever had. Beer good too, everything you want from a pub. Definitely recommend. Spain win, cherry on the cake!

Lovely pub on the outskirts of the city centre, friendly service and great food at low prices.

Staying at Hotel opposite and came for food. Food was excellent in particular piping hot right through to last mouthful which was an enjoyment unlike other places when food is cold 1/2 way through the meal. A happy Geordie who will return and recommend to others

Food really good. They forgot one of ghe meals but it only took a couple of minutes, no stress. Service was good and with a smile. Overall couldn't fault it.

A big thanks to The Crown in Stanwix for fitting us in for dinner without a reservation and on a live music night! Venison Sausages and Mash & Steak and Ale Pie was smashing, after a long journey. Recommended for good atmosphere and service 👌

Spent new years Eve here was a top night

Didn't eat this visit. Watched a band with friends and had a couple of drinks. Staff were able to book us a booth last minute and kept on top of glasses throughout. Clientele was good, the Mrs was dragged up to dance a few times by other groups. Drinks are priced as to be expected this day and age but not overly expensive. Just enough to keep out the 'riff raff' 😂 No specific parking, if going for dinner then there is a public car park across the road or on street parking down etterby street if your lucky and decent!

Net a friend for lunch the only thing that spoiled it was the sports tv. I rarely watch ytv anyway . However the meal was great and service good.

Visited this spot with the missed tonight and what a treat- big portions and plenty of taste on the plate, smooth surrounding and the owner is sound also, if your in Dalston vist this gem or you have missed out. Proper grub

Great local albeit drinks a tad over priced but Norma is a great asset and really friendly and helpful.

Really good food, quality service from the bartenders and waitress. A smile goes a long way.

Stunning pub, beautifully created areas but wide and open. Nice beer, very friendly service and a fab location. A great pub on Scotland Road that beats everything in the area. If you want to stop for a drink, this is the place.

Nice atmosphere, nice decor and a decent pint. Enjoyable afternoon spent here. Only negative was that most tables were reserved which is a policy in pubs I personally don't like but that's just personal opinion

Had a really great night here. They were very busy but made us feel welcome, we booked on the night so they squeezed us in which was very appreciated. The food was amazing and they have a lovely IPA on tap as well. You need to go with an empty stomach as the original burger and chips is so delicious but there's so much it was a struggle to finish. Service was a-class as well.

A friend of mine finished work today, Barry and his mates really had a boss day here.. He couldn't believe that I'm from the area. He was saying boss day you know. Everyone was boss.. Barry wants to come back, but without the 78 year-old work mate he was with.

Played here as part of the dad's army band and had a great gig. Nice friendly pub with a great crowd, hope to return again shortly!

Came for Sunday roast with my friend. My dinner came which was lovely but my friends never came. After a 50mimute wait. We asked and they just started to prepare her dinner. She didn't want to wait any longer. It would have been a good gesture to compensate her for her wait as a good gesture

Great place to eat and drink. Watch all the sports on a number of TVs that you can see wherever you're sat. Added bonus Live entertainment on Saturday nights. Staff are friendly, providing a great customer experience.

Went here last minute for a meal whilst on our way to Scotland. Friendly staff and the food which was excellent was very fairly priced . Wish it was my local.

Simply the best local pub (to me) that is called The Crown

So disappointed after being here for a meal numerous times and enjoyed it ,but tonight our both meals came chips cold, peas cold ,scampi and chips undercooked service was chaotic !We would NEVER RETURN

Nice clean pub, quick service BUT the fact you MUST stand on the roadside to have a smoke or vape whilst ALL the outdoor seating is smoke free is an example of discrimination that beggars belief. Wouldn't visit again. Not even allowed to smoke or vape in rear yard absolutely ridiculous!!!! At the time of writing this the website says pub is closed.... If only it was.

Went to the Crown last night with my daughter both meals were beautiful I would definitely recommend hope to see you again soon .

I've been going to the Crown for twenty years. Always friendly always warm and welcoming. A traditional style pub with great staff. If you are in Carlisle you will not find a better evening

Busy pub that does good honest pub food. Managed to get a table ok. Order taken at the table. Food arrived quite quickly and hot. We had the enchiladas and they were nice and spicy. Plenty on the plate so no room for dessert unfortunately. Would definitely go again.

Service great .tuna melt wrap wasnt warm and tuna wasnt drained so dripped down the wrap I should of said to be fair but I didnt just a little more care and I would of rated it 5 stars as clean nice friendly staff.

A Belhaven local pub bang up to date in the 21st century. Large open plan, varied seating, good decor, excellent lighting, uncluttered bar, and friendly service. Well thought out and executed in what’s required of a modern inclusive establishment.

Had a lovely meal for a booking of 15 people as a night with work colleagues. Great service and a nice environment to be in bearing in mind it was a busy Saturday night. I had breaded Brie for starters which was delicious along with their curry and cheesecake for dessert. The meal sizes were pretty decent too! The Vegetarian lasagne looked amazing and the chicken enchiladas so will be back to try the rest of the menu.

While travelling we stopped in to get a quick meal for us and the kids. The service was excellent with friendly staff. There is a good selection of beer and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place for families. Free wifi.

After receiving a voucher from my son and daughter - in- law. We booked a table for our Sunday lunch today. We weren't disappointed 😊From arriving we were greeted with a smiley face, served by friendly staff. Our lunch was well presented and very tasty. We will definitely be back!!

This bar is to be avoided at all times as full of very opinionated locals with nothing else in there sorry life’s , It’s not a very welcoming bar and was pleased to get out It’s not s easy place to find and that’s a god send , Miss this bar and walk to main road and you’ll be back into more friendly bars and restaurants No more to say about this run down establishment.
