So much love for this place, stumbled across by accident. Will be coming back every time we're in Manchester. Its light, bright and happy. Lovely service. Food menu is gorgeous, was sad I couldn't try all! Coffee top notch. Cakes we had were delicious. Go visit and enjoy!

Read about Chips @ No.8 in local press (website) but only got round to visiting recently. It's everything I had read about. Superb fish n chips and all the trimmings (mushy peas, curry sauce etc). The fact there is a small bar downstairs (eat in restaurant is on first floor) meant we could have a pint of locally brewed I.P.A. with our chippy tea. Very cool. To top it off there is a large mural of local legend and The Fall mainstay Mark E. Smith on the side wall outside made this a memorable visit. Cheap car parking opposite.

Worst thing iv ever had delivered fried everything burger wasn’t even what i ordered. Threw it in the bin

Booked a table on line for my birthday. Myself, my wife and my son had a side order of garlic bread with tomato, pizzas, dessert alcoholic drink and coffee. The service was excellent, quick and friendly, the food was really good and I thought £115 with a tip was decent value. Highly recommended.

A good coffee. Heart and Grafts. Serve short blacks which is great - a good strong coffee. Flat white also flavoursome. Coffee blend definitely chocolatey.

Their 30% offer in feb post is misleading, to see how to get it you need to press on “more” on post so we were refused it, however chef / manager? agreed himself that it isnot the first time it is an issue. I commented on the post on instagram and was instantly blocked and comment removed. They also blocked me from the Elnecot acc, which I mentioned was fab (???). Their facebook has only good reviews on although only 86% recommend the Dokes - they clearly remove unfavorable ones on there. All in all it is crazy that reputable place like this has such a bad social media management and only allows good comments.

I stayed at this hotel as I had a wedding to attend nearby. I booked it for two nights after the first night I ended up with spots across my stomach and back within a week and my body was fully covered. I was diagnosed with mrsa due to unclean sheets as I was disclosed by doctors. They’ve had cases like this before the pain of those spots were absolutely excruciating and I know there’s nothing I can do about it but it was a horrendous experience I should of known when I lifted the sheet and loads of dust came off it.

Food was ok at best, very expensive for what you get. Would I go again? No

My wife and I popped in for a light lunch. Ordered a cheese panini and tuna melt , when they eventually came they were basic in presentation, a little salad on the side would have looked more appealing . My main complaint is the place is a mess ,the floor was dirty with crumbs and goodness knows what else, the food prep area was a mess , the waitress was either on her phone or eating her lunch out of a plastic container in full view of customers,very unprofessional. The toilet was situated at the side of a store cupboard which looked as though boxes and whatever else had just been thrown in there.The toilet itself was disgusting ,the seat was loose and water was leaking from the waste pipe at the back. When I came to wash my hands in the broom cupboard I could not find any towels or a dryer and had to ask for a towel whereupon the waitress tore some paper off the role in the kitchen area and handed it to me. I don’t believe that hygiene is their paramount concern.

We haven't been in a while but really disappointed, The chicken sizzler was small position covered in loads of peppers , the nan was smaller than usual, the chicken madras was mild , like a korma taste , should have come in a stainless steel bowl not a white dish, cold too quick Terrible meal
