For coffee and light meals unsurpassed. Established eatery by day and cool vibe bar by evening All The Shapes is one of the places that put Prestwich on the social map of North Manchester. The coffee and cake offerings during the day set you up for small plates of delicious food at lunchtime

Lovely breakfast, great selection of brilliant ingredients. Sausage was delicious and the black pudding was spot on. We had 2 of the Shapes Breakfasts and a coffee and some lemonade. All pretty quick considering the busyness!

Great brunch place in Prestwich. Usually visit after parkrun. The food is of good quality and the atmosphere is pleasant. Highly recommend the golden milk.

Very Stupid with a lot of delay

We absolutely love All the Shapes - our favourite spot in Prestwich and maybe even in Manchester. There's a great selection of beer and the cocktails are amazing. The staff are always so friendly and the atmosphere is lovely and chill, we love all of the vinyl DJs they have on, especially as they don't whack the volume up to 11 like a lot of other bars. Been here for brunch once and the food was absolutely brilliant, with different dishes and fun takes on classics that you won't find anywhere else.

One staff member today needs to dial down the smarmy attitude. Otherwise pleasant hour in this bar. Mediocre cocktails.

Rich & his staff work really hard to give their customers the best in food & drink. I love this place. I recommend The Shapes breakfast washed down with a cream soda.

The staff member seems to be very rude to me however polite to the female customers. It is always opening late in the morning also. I arrived at 9:10 last weekend and could see the staff member inside however the sign saying “closed”. Once the staff member looked at me at the door he just looked away and carried on with what he was doing. Their number also doesn’t work

Excellent food. Good prices. Nice staff. Not very big but nice decor and general feel. Not a lot of seats so make sure you either book or get there early to ensure you get a place. Good location too, it's easy to get to. You can probably park nearby but watch out for parking permits and all that. Nice neighbourhood.

We had a really nice experience. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was a really busy when we were there and it felt really nice and vibrant. We loved that! The coffee was delicious and the food was fresh and super tasty. We couldn't have any cocktails or beer but we have definitly got our mind on a boozy brunch next time.

This is a dreamy neighbourhood side street cafe bar. The coffee was excellent, best flat white i've had in the area. We dug into the breakfast tacos with additional halloumi. These were just what the doctored ordered, very tasty and filling... set us up for the entire day. The place was absolutely packed, seems to be a very popular place. The staff were super on it though and the food was delivered fast. Top atmosphere and tunes. We'll be back for sure.

Haven't been here for a while.. it was always delicious and cosy. We found it very cold today with the door open. Our coffee was bitter... so we sent all 3 back and drank water. The full English wasn't bad but sub standard compared to recent breakfast we've had elsewhere. The green eggs were not edible as the greens were bitter, hard and unable to chew, the avocado was rock hard. The breakfast tacos were awful.. warm salad and tasteless eggs on uncharred tortillas. Really disappointing. I hope things improve for the better of the business. 😒 they didn't charge for the 3 coffees and the 2 breakfasts we sent back and the barrisa mouthed a 'sorry about that' when we were leaving but the morning was spoiled. At those prices you must do better guys

Has a very good reputation but the day I went was very slow service and for the area quite expensive compared to other cafes

After a very enjoyable 1st visit we returned today for our 2nd visit, we could not have been more disappointed. Orange juice full of ice without asking Cremated fried eggs that we had to send back and overcooked beans & bacon. £37 for 2 breakfast, 2 coffees and 1 juice. We told the cashier it was very disappointing. He said sorry, will tell the chef. There will not be a 3rd visit. Sorry.

This place has really disappointed and there are a growing number of much better options in Prestwich these days. We had planned a birthday brunch for 11 family members, so went to the website to make our reservation. Our emailed reservation was never confirmed so numerous phone calls (and voice messages) were made and all went unanswered and unreturned so we decided to take our chance and show up anyway. The attitude of the staff was very rude and flippant about the missed reservation. Consequently we were turned away at the requested time being told “we don’t take reservations”. If this is the case then up date your website. We are regular customers and local residents who will not be returning. Thankfully our birthday brunch was saved by the wonderful experience at Cuckoo a few hundred metres away.

Fantastic brunch made with excellent ingredients and prepared with care, and amazing coffee (ordered seconds to take away). It's a hidden gem away from the bustle of a busy city. Definitely worth visiting when in the Greater Manchester area.

Really lovely place and lovely staff, great coffee and cake! However tables were mucky, with coffee stains and some of self service water glasses were not very clean.

Went in today 23/07. The food was quite average and a little cold. At one point the chef got heated and stormed out straight past us whilst throwing a tea towel at a colleague. We didn’t stay long enough to see if she came back, but I’m assuming not. It left a sour taste in a place we normally like to visit. The average rating is because of previous good visits. Based on today alone it would’ve been a lot worse.

I moved to Prestwich in 2017 and this is one my favourite places, I take everyone who comes to visit. I left a review a few years ago (Banana bread and latte image below) but after enjoying another breakfast, thought I'd update it. Just enjoyed the breakfast tacos, second photo, (Scambled egg, avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream and potatoes) which were a nice change for a breakfast dish. Lovely, chilled place for food, just a coffee or a drink. Outdoor seating is available too.

Had the green eggs brunch, loved the sourdough bread. Also would recommend the iced latte with oat milk. Such a hidden gem in Prestwich.

Terrible expensive experience to be honest! We went as a small family for Father’s Day, please believe we won’t be attending again!! There were 4 members of staff supposedly “working” the bar.. yet the tables weren’t even clean when we sat down - crumbs & stuck on food. For the 1.5 hours we were sat WAITING, I observed 3 of them sat down eating at the bar with their backs to customers, congregating, chatting amongst themselves. I had to get up to order drinks, I had to get up to get a menu, I’ve even had to wildly attract another’s attention just to pay the bill at the end - for the entire time we were there nobody even checked on our table, checked the food brought out or asked if we would like anything else. Only to discover after leaving that we were charged 10% £5.47 gratuity AS STANDARD, it felt like a liberty & an absolute kick in the teeth!! The staff & establishment were entirely unworthy of it, and the food given to us was below the standard for prices charged. For 2 adults & 1 toddler the bill was £60!!!!! This bar should be embarrassed to be presenting this experience as a standard to customers at these prices. Needless to say we won’t be returning, underwhelmed, over charged & ripped off!! Lazy, dirty staff who couldn’t care less so long as they get their tip.

Group of four went for brunch. Staff were rude and completely uninterested, we asked for water three times before we just got it ourselves but they put on a 10% tip automatically anyway which I didn’t realise until afterwards. Food was ok but four brunch dishes (bacon bap, full English, banana waffle and eggs benedict) and four drinks (one pint, one coffee, two soft drinks) ended up costing £65. Worst place in Prestwich.

Really like this spot for breakfast or lunch and usually happy to watch the world go by as service is pretty slow. Food is always lovely although occasionally there are some unavailable dishes. On this visit, it just wasn't a nice experience. The slow pace wasn't enjoyable as while staff were clearly under pressure, one staff member was particularly off-putting. There were large parties ordering lots of drinks on a tab which is difficult to manage and as a result one staff member was being passive aggressive, impatient and at times outright snappy. All while I was stood waiting to be served and from what I saw they weren't chipping in to help. The atmosphere wasn't just at the counter but during the long wait to get drinks and food to our table, they were rolling their eyes at staff and customers and loudly reprimanding colleagues. It was an awkward atmosphere and not at all what you expect alongside a laidback serving style. Great food, usually fine service - needs a huge attitude shift if they have no plans to change the pace of service.

First and definitely not our last visit! Food, presentation, cleanliness and staff friendliness were fantastic. Mackerel benny + carrot cake are highly recommended. Simba, our golden retriever, also gives it 2 paws up too.

Alright food, fresh ingredients but not worth the extra £2.50 for a couple of tiny halloumi pieces. Staff were quite neutral to us though could have been more engaged. Overall ok experience but would try somewhere else next time

Came in and was seated quickly, ordered drinks which took 15 to 20 mins to arrive and food roughly the same amount of time after the drinks, saving grace was the food was lovely but the service wasn't the best just a bit more attention to detail

Waited ages to be served breakfast , it was nice enough ,but the sourdought toast was drenched in butter / oil . I found it really expensive a sneaky service charge is added , no mention of this until you have paid ... So paid nearly £32 for 2 cooked breakfasts and 2 drinks ....Its dearer than london .

Ridiculous rules over smoked Benedict. This place is supposed to be a brunch venue. I don’t like fish and I didn’t want a heavy full English. I would have liked eggs Benedict, but No. I’m not allowed to ask them to remove the smoked mackerel & capers from the dish and swap it for another type of meat or just have the eggs because the chef says so. Totally ridiculous! Why??? I’ve given 2 stars because the house chai was really good and the waiting staff were lovely.

Sticky tables (because not properly cleaned), expensive poor quality limited food and very restricted range of wines all served with an undeserved 10% service charge. Never again.

Really cute little place for a catch up with friends, friendly staff and good food. Brunch menu is a little bit different would like to try a few more things, will definitely go back!

Sad to give such a bad review as we like this place a lot. We were given a heads up that the food would take up to 45mins but decided to have a drink and see it through. We ordered the Other Breakfast and some French Toast, the breakfast plate was extremely small for paying £11. 2 of the saddest slithers of butternut squash and around 5x of the tiniest mushrooms chopped up in a drizzle of cashew cream with a tablespoon of lentils, it was honestly a very weak overpriced presented plate, even though the taste was good, with a 45min wait we expected at the very least for the plate to seem like good value. The French toast was ok, but lacked flavour, could have done with more syrup or sweetness from something. We didn’t even get a casual “sorry for the delay and wait” for the fact it took so long which was pretty disappointing to say the least. Even though the place was quiet, there were also 4x staff working the bar area turning away from what we saw 5-6couples at various stages of our 1hr stay. Giving this review for you guys to improve, as this was such a disappointment.

Our first visit. We liked the ambiance and quirky decor. The service was friendly and the food was lovely. We will go again.

We visited for breakfast/brunch and the food was tasty and well cooked. The portions and price meant that it wasn’t good value. The service was also average and some people around us waited a long time for their food. The breakfast for £11 was tasty but needed more (a slice of black pudding cut in half?!) and the extra halloumi was £2.50 for about 5 small cubes- a real rip off. The cream soda was in a fancy can but tasted of nothing! Overall, the food was well cooked and tasty but not great value for money.

We wanted to like this place but ended up leaving disappointed. We asked to swap fried eggs to scrambled to which the waiter said this was fine. I heard another member of staff shout to add an extra egg onto the order but at no point was this relayed to us that they would be charging to substitute the eggs! My tea was served in a dirty mug, lipstick stains around the edges. I sent this back and it was quite obvious (given the tea looked as though it had been brewing for a while) that my drink had either been poured into another cup or the edges had just been wiped. A fresh drink should have been made. The bill came and they had ‘accidentally’ charged for a more expensive breakfast than what we had ordered. Oh, and the additional charge for the scrambled egg substitute was on there too which should have been relayed to us at the time of ordering but it wasn’t. Very, very average with mediocre service.

Our party had an amazing time here for Brunch and drinks. Attentive staff and tasty food. The craft beer options were spot on for me and my wife loved the cocktails! Suer cool music being played which made for a great atmosphere.

Brought our mother in law here for brunch and I must say the eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. Every plate was left empty. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area and looking for good food! Oh and they are dog friendly too...

It was easy to find following satnav and had residential parking right outside down the deadend street. The deco was trendy, welcoming and friendly. They are a dog friendly cafe! Really tasty options for brunch and loose leaf teas. Unfortuently it was quite slow service and they didn't get the order quite right, although corrected it immediately and didn't charge for the bit they didn't get quite right.

I called in here purely to try the cocktails as they had been recommended to me and they did not disappoint. They are reasonably priced and strong but more importantly they are delicious and really tasty. The bar itself is clean and although small there is a lot of seating. Came here for New Year’s Eve for the set menu. I was not disappointed! Had 2 glasses of champagne, appetiser, 3 courses and then hand made chocolates to finish. Staff were really attentive and friendly! I believe they do a supper club every few months which I really want to try. For my main I had lamb and it was delicious! I will certainly be returning as there is a great selection for meat eaters and vegans alike.

I love all the shapes, I have been coming here since it has opened, wether daytime in meetings, with friends for lunch or a night out!, even took the kids (they are big) on Christmas eve! such lovely, friendly staff, we are always welcomed and the food, drinks and staff are awesome! super highly recommend!

Came here with family for breakfast it was busy and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table which we didn’t mind.When seated we were given menus and took our drink order.The food was delicious we had Eggs Benny and Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon very tasty.with coffees it was very reasonable.Service was good in places when we asked for the bill we were told to pay at the counter quite abruptly but we wanted to see the bill first.On the whole enjoyed the food and would come again.

We called in for a lunch with a friend.Ordered humus and pitta (right, singular, 1 single pitta bread ) and had the seasonal rice bowl.It was shocking!The rice was undercooked, like hard, not edible. So was the squash, raw. Nothing was properly seasoned.My friend had an Indian dish, dont remember the name, and the cauliflower was absolutely raw.There were 2 tables, 2!! And we had to wait almost an hour.....now I do understand food takes time to cook, well, that wasnt our case.Cake were decent, not homemade, bought in, but decent.Very expensive for the poor service we got!We wont be coming back

First time in after hearing good things from several friends I work with at Grape to Grain down the road. I ordered Kedgeree which I’d previously never even heard of. It was absolutely bloody gorgeous. Lovely smoked fish with a lightly spiced curry sauce, fresh chilli, rice, and a perfect runny poached egg. It was gone within 2 minutes. Great service and atmosphere, friendly staff - I’ll be back.

I have eaten at ATS for years and always loved it! On Sunday we had some family up from South Wales and wanted to take them somewhere different for a Sunday lunch. I have been in the past and knew that calling ahead is always best as they get so busy and often run out of roasts by the end of the day. When I called the lovely guy over the phone told me they had 5 beef, 1 chicken and 3 vegan dinners left. (For anybody wondering this was at 4:30 in the afternoon, they start serving the roasts at 12 so try and get there as early as possible to avoid disappointment). There was a group of 8 of us so I asked if it would be possible to reserve the dishes as we were around the corner. He confirmed and we managed to arrive and finish off the last of the Sunday dinners! They were all absolutely amazing, the beef was cooked to perfection and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.

Often use this wonderful place for a relaxed brunch with my mum and son. Came in, ordered, (great) coffees brought over and then a bit of a delay seeing as we couldn't see too many other punters in before us... Lovely waiter offered us another round of (soft) drinks on the house as apparently the kitchen had been cooking a table of 4's order ( who came after us) before our meal.... Fortunately the food, coffee and recompense were great but otherwise wouldn't have been much amused... We were only 2 and a half people but our order is as important as that of a large crew!! And we're local folk so please don't forget about us again!!

Although local to Prestwich this was my first All the shapes having wanted to visit much sooner but only. Had a good sunday breakfast, in a nice location with good options of vegans, vegetarians as well as the normal breakfast fare.

Been here a few times. It's a real shame that the staff are rude and so unfriendly every time. Totally uncalled for. Will dine elsewhere from now on.

All the Shapes is my local really, and it’s where I meet friends, have a quick cup of coffee, read a book and even write sometimes. The food is always very good, and unless they are exceptionally busy, it always arrives quickly. Great & friendly service too.

We have eaten here many times without any issue although this time was upsetting. This was the start of a birthday and wanted to be served breakfast rather than cook it. I ordered oven roasted tomatoes on chargrilled sourdough (£7.20?) at that price I would expect something special. The toast came burnt not charred ( I am a chef by trade and known the difference).

We have lived in Prestwich for many many years. We welcomed All the shapes and especially its day menu . The food is good , the chef is great . BUT the attitude of staff is naff . It’s almost like they are doing us a favour. Flexibility is NIL ( asking for something slightly different etc) and their replies often make you feel awkward. I have witnessed this on a number of occasions and sharing this with others , apparently many are saying the same . I would visit on a regular basis if it wasn’t for this .

Love this wee place. Coffee 1 of best in Manchester and lovely brunch. Saw someone getting banana bread which was 2 decent slices. Good service and nice atmosphere. Busy but you always get a table. Lovely weekend hangout ❤️

We came here as a group of 5 for an early lunch mid-week and was pleasantly surprised by this place as you don't tend to find these kinds of spots outside of the city centre. The feta and avo smash was delicious and although I didn't have one, I was assured the coffees were delicious and was more than comparable to that of Costa or Starbucks. I plan to visit again!

I thought I’d try this little cafe a friend had mentioned, so thought a Sunday lunch and catch up with another friend would be the perfect time. The service was quite slow, not sure if this was because we were upstairs in the corner? The table next to us also commented that they had been waiting too and they only wanted drinks, however as we were not in a rush and enjoying catching up, it wasn’t too much of a problem for us (just our tummy’s). We both ordered the roast beef Sunday lunch which came accompanied with creamy mash, carrots, greens and Yorkshire pudding (pic). The beef was very thinly sliced and not really as pink as I would like but it was still tasty. The mash was delicious and probably a good thing for my waist that there wasn’t too much. The carrots and greens were cooked firm how I like them and the Yorkshire was light, however my friends was burnt quite a bit and she couldn’t eat half of it. Overall the lunch was nice but I would try something else next time like the full brunch breakfast that another table had as that looked very nice.

Me and my family decided to go have lunch last minute, i recommended ALL THE SHAPES for a bite to eat, i've been a few times and really enjoyed it.

Quirky, good bar. Nice beer on draft. Good music and excellent food. Really good place to spend a few hours relaxing with friends. Prestwich is the place to be at the moment.

As always perfect staff are lovely food is great. I go here often and I love it everything is so fresh and tasty. Well worth a visit.

The menu was interesting and varied and would cater from carnivores to vegans. We had brunch and it was good value, not particularly cheap but value for money. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the food was served in good time. Would definitely eat here again

Regularly we like to visits all the shapes and we‘ve never been disappointed. Plenty of vegan options available, the non vegan stuff is super good as well;) coffee is deluxe, staff is friendly and always smiley. Don’t understand anybody who complained about them. All good, very friendly and first-time impression was positive. Food was delicious. Cosy but easily frequented by families, dog-walkers seemed welcome also. Service was prompt and servers were very attentive.

The quality of the ingredients, thought processes behind the dishes are first class, the head chef is extremely talented , you pays for what you gets. The staff is attentive, personable and attentive.... I feel completely at home here. The range and caliber of cask, keg and bottled beer on offer is unrivalled in Prestwich. This delightful secret of a place oozes quality and attention to detail. My first and only choice for a sneaky half when I’m seeking solace, or a venue to entertain visiting friends to demonstrate just how innovative and focused on delivering quality some of the venues in this Manchester suburb have become. All The Shapes sets the bar and everyone else follows...I struggle to find fault

I've just paid £7.80 for a tiny breakfast which was served on a side plate the same as the toast came on. I also had to pay £1.20 for a solitary slice of everyday sour dough toast. The food wasn't worth the cost and the quantity was nothing short of robbery. With other great places charging reasonable prices for more food of equal or better quality I have no reason to come here ever again. A classic case of 'they saw you coming'.

My son who lives in Prestwich booked us a table as he eats here quite frequently. We absolutely loved it. The food was really very good, as was the service and the prices. We will eat here again.

I’ve visited this charming little hamlet a few times previously and will definitely be returning. The number of ‘hipster style’ little bars is growing in Prestwich but this one is one of the more established.

I tried the green eggs.. green leafies.. avocado.. eggs.. what's not to love?! Perfect brunch along with cider. Enjoyed!
