The best restaurants serving Default food in Stockton-on-Tees North East

Looking for somewhere to eat as got lost heading to Yarm. Ages 86, 82, 68 and 40 and came across The Manor House. It has disabled parking near entrance and a couple of shallow steps to entrance. Wheelchair friendly. The pub itself is huge and we're few in it but started to fill up after we ordered. It has a very large and well set out eating/drinking lounge with very comfortable armchairs which are easy for elderly to get out of plus bonkets and traditional chairs. There is a large traditional bar area at the far end. There are toilets in both sections. It is spotlessly clean as are the toilets and the Gents has an unusual tiled entrance. We ordered fish and chips, 2 large burger meals with chips, salad, coleslaw and huge onion rings in batter and a scampi and chips with mushy peas (or curry) and tartar sauce. Neither could finish the burger meals - they were huge. The small size scampi was actually a normal size meal. All of the food was tasty and well presented, it's not cheap but was worth the cost. The barman took our drinks, then food order at the table and was very friendly and polite. It has a Christmas Menu which includes Traditional menu Vegetarian and/or Vegan menu ? Gluten free menu. Children's menu. Would we go back there - ABSOLUTELY.

Above and beyond service to four, needy teaching staff, two weeks in, we're already running on empty. Clean and tidy, plus we managed to get our usual table, which was brilliant! Staff checked on us, to see if everything was good, which it was. A great way to recharge after a full on week!

Called in tonight only got fried rice not the best no egg in it sticky and not the best by far

Very weird. Had a phone call from this business. Answered it to hear deliberate heavy breathing down the phone. It was then hung up rather quickly when I said hello so I called back and enquired about the call to be told no one had called me from the number in a manner that suggested I was lying. The weirdest thing is I don't even live anywhere close to the area this company is based in. In fact I'm half way down the country.

Stopped here on the off chance as we saw they served food. We were so impressed! The staff were so lovely and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and served quickly. They told us about the MIXR app so we even got a free drink too! We will absolutely be back soon! Think we were served by Sophie and Miranda!

First time here , place didn't seem the cleanest but I was recommend the place so gave it a go. The chicken was uncooked and had a vinegar after taste chicken without the sauce. I took the parmo back and got part of my money back would never visit here again cooked ok too which is disappointing

On a very wet day the Owington farm was very warm and welcoming pub with very helpful and cheerful ladies behind the bar. The food was amazing we had the mega grill and the curry feast, tasted gorgeous and our plates were full to the brim. A free pint by registering with the app was an added bonus. Would highly recommend.

Service was extremely slow, it wasn’t very busy either, half the drinks were kept elsewhere! The noise level was unbearable, music on high volume, so customers had to shout and screech to make themselves heard, and no soft furnishings to deaden the sound. It was a relief to leave.

Quality of food was very disappointing. How can they get curry/rice and chips so wrong? Chips appeared to have been reheated many times and rice stodgy, one star given as curry sauce was okay. Very disappointed customer.
