The Manor House in Stockton-on-Tees

On arrival the restaurant was pretty empty. We were in a group of 10 and waited ages for someone to take our drinks order. We then waited a further 10 minutes (after going to the bar) for 2 glasses of water to be brought to the table. Food ordered at 6.40pm and by 7.30pm still no sign of any food so once again had to chase it up. To be fair, the food when it eventually arrived was nice but as for customer service....it's non existent. Very poorly run by staff who look like they couldn't care less. If you're in a hurry, avoid at all costs as you'll be there for a long long time.

Went to the manor house today Sunday 28-4-24 with my family we had 2 of the trio of meats the Sunday chicken and two of the burgers the food was well presented as well as very tasty and delicious the staff where very friendly and cheerful the place is a little gem for a Sunday dinner and very good value for money definitely will be returning

Food was lovely and quite big portions. We went for Parmo's which were lovely and creamy. Food served really quickly we came at lunch time expecting to be in for a wait. Bar staff and Manager are lovely

AVOID, TERRBILE FOOD EVEN WORSE SERVICE!!! After waiting around 15/20 minutes of receiving our drinks, no staff member had visited our table to take our food order. Which resulted in myself having to shout across the room to get a males member of staffs attention to ask them if we could place our order. Three out of the four of us ordered the Chicken Shawarma, two plates with chips and one plate with rice. Straight away my friend had to ask a male member of staff for a new fresh piece of flatbread as it was absolutely soaked from being placed under the salad. The chips on both plates, were undercooked and majority of them unedidable and the salad on two of the three dishes appeared to be going rotten and had a unpleasant smell. The three of us were also unimpressed that our Chicken Shawarma only consisted of three small pieces of chicken on a hanging skewer. We were then left with our empty, half empty dishes on our table for a further 15/20 minutes resulting again in having to ask a member of staff if someone could take them away from the table. When we were asked if we were happy with our meal, I began to describe all of the above to a male member of staff, who's response was pretty unsympathetic and only muttered the words "Im sorry about that" All four of us then left the table and made our way to pay for our meals at the bar area, feeling very unsatisfied and unhappy. To be left waiting AGAIN, with numerous males members of staff walking past, ignoring us. Which resulted in us having to ask again, if we could be served to pay our bill. I made a formal complaint as soon as I arrived back home, and I'm still waiting for a reply back!!

Always been ok, but went on Friday evening and had a table booked - food took over an hour to arrive after ordering. Pizza that arrived looked like it had probably been in the oven for that long too.

I have visited the Manor House many times over the years and I have never felt the need to add a review. My wife and I decided to visit for lunch , she ordered the Nachos small plate and I ordered the steak burger with pulled pork . The nachos portion size was impressive for a small plate , although very little salsa, cheese and guacamole, this resulted in a very dry dish. My burger arrived without pulled pork , a slice of back bacon the had no colour on the rind - who would serve bacon in a burger where the customer rubs the risk of burning themselves removing the slimy white fat !! When the member of staff returned with the requested condiments I mentioned the lack of pulled pork, they took my burger back to the kitchen for it to be added , I hadn’t eaten any other item on the plate. The burger came back out (still with bacon with white slimy fat). Unfortunately the pulled pork appeared to be a slice of bacon cut into squares and microwaved !! This was not pulled pork at all. The burger should have been accompanied by skinny fries or chunky chips ( I wasn’t asked when I ordered), it didn’t matter it came with potato wedges ( which I hate). The coleslaw had been sat on a warm plate so all of the liquid from the cabbage had leaked into the mayonnaise!, surely a spoonful of fresh would have made sense ?. The burger also came with crispy onion rings, the batter was undercooked and had the texture of cardboard. I would have mentioned all of this to the staff, unfortunately however, the whole team seemed to prefer congregating at the end of the bar too chat rather then check on the VERY few customers who were in the lounge and having a meal. I will never go to this place again , which is a shame, the staff are very young and there didn’t appear to be any senior member of staff around. I guess the warning sign was there when I ordered a pint of Madri and a half pint of Aspalls cider , when I got a pint of Aspalls cider, I didn’t think when I was told it was only 30pence more as a promotion ( I was offered a change - but I said no ), I should have taken more notice of the disinterest of the staff in the customers To give context , in the lounge there were 11 customers and 6 front of house staff ……..

Very disappointing visit as a family. On arrival was offered a filthy baby seat which I had to ask to be wiped down. Chicken fillet starter was awful, seemed like it had been pre made and deep fat fried again. Crunchy hard batter and chicken dry as anything. Had to ask wwaitress to bring dip with it (as per menu) as not on plate. The Sunday lunch was okay, however forgot crackling from pork - this was bright on request but was burned and awful (again seemed deep fat fried? Tasted foul). Pigs in blankets- sausages were anaemic. Really disappointed all round and wish we had checked reviews on here before visiting as it is clear that many others have had bad experiments. We spoke to staff who did apologise however no recompense offered which was disappointing. We would not visit again.

Me and my partner came here today for lunch and couldn’t of been worse. We ordered scampi and the chips weren’t cooked in the slightest. Rock hard we couldn’t even put our forks through it. Waste of £30. Staff weren’t helpful when we told them about the problem and we weren’t offered any replacement. Wont visit again.

My wife and I called in after an afternoon out looking forward to a delicious Sunday lunch having been to The Manor House on and off for years. The meal arrived quickly without cutlery and missing the side order of mash. On asking the miserable waitress, she stated it’s under the meat. She returned with cutlery and my wife stated she’d ordered it as a side order as she did not want gravy on the mash. She ignored us and walked away. The two roast potatoes were black as was the rim of the Yorkshire pudding. There were no vegetables as listed in the menu and the presentation was poor. The veg that was on the plate was over cooked and limp. My wife complained and a waiter brought over bowls of veg and roast potatoes which we rejected. On complaining my wife rejected her meal and asked for a refund. One of the waiters came over and asked how we’d like the refund as if it were card I’d have to go to the bar. I took the meal to the bar and left it in front of the manager who said nothing not even an apology but cleared it immediately back to the kitchen. I was told they had substituted the swede with mash and I said so what happened to the £4 side order of mash. The waiter said “Oh our bad we should have told you”. The meal cost was refunded but given the level of service and lack of management response, I have to say I will not go back and would not recommend The Manor House to others. The meal was not fit for an animal. Don’t waste your time and money. If I could give a negative I would.

Food is nice. Few of the desert orders had to be sent back as they were wrong. Staff changed them no problems. I think either the menu has changed recently or the recipes are different. Parmo size was a joke. £13 and it was a kids size and I got 7/8 chips. Good tasted great but portion size is terrible. Kids chicken nuggets are very spicy in taste for a young child to have. Gave me a sweat on trying one.

*Part of our order was missing so we had to wait for it to be cooked. ( haloumi fries) *One of the meals (parmo)only had 6 chips. *One meal had the peas missing. ( gammon) *The lamb and feta burger had the tiniest bit of feta so we requested more. All in all a poor meal all round.

Had I read the recent reviews I probably would have chosen elsewhere. Food was poor in general and was only just warm. I had the red wine beef. Half of the beef was fatty and the veg was hard. I actually couldn’t cut through the broccoli with my knife! Chips were very salty. Food brought to us but nothing to eat it with so had to ask for cutlery and napkins. All in all very disappointing and won’t be hurrying back any time soon! 👎

The meal was served at an unacceptable temperature. Additionally, the pub's entrance door was defective, causing a disruptive noise every minute.

Food was gorgeous and really generous sizes , iv never had a bad meal in here . The staff are always welcoming and attentive and make you feel right at home even when it was extra busy today (Sunday +Mother’s Day as well) the service was exceptional and they couldn't do anything more for us to make our visit any better 🥰 Would definitely recommend the Manor House , you will not be disappointed.

Food - nothing wrong but nothing right, the chicken parmo had a nice flavour and a good topping by so thin (literally) on chicken, service was very slow, even when waiting at the bar for service.

I was surprised to see so many bad reviews on here, as our experience last night was so different. We have not been here in years so thought we would give it a try as they were taking part in Teesside Restaurant Week. From walking in, the place was warm and staff friendly - there was a vibrant feel to it. We both choose king prawn tacos, parmos and I choose biscoff brownie, hubby chose sticky toffee pudding. Tacos were divine, prawns perfectly cooked and the salsa was divine, lovely Asian type salad and crunchy taco - great starter! Parmos were a good size, very tasty and piping hot as were the sizeable homemade chips (yes you may only get around 8 in the basket but they are huge and more than enough), nice salad, slaw and a pot of garlic. We asked for tomato sauce too which we wouldn’t have again as it wasn’t that nice, but that’s the only thing I could say wasn’t good. Our desserts were divine, tried the STP it was so good and lots of toffee sauce surrounding it, my biscoff brownie was lush … lots of biscoff crumb and both topped off with ice cream and strawberry. The service from all the staff we encountered was first class, all friendly, polite and helpful and we really enjoyed our food - we will definitely be returning in the future.

Food was excellent but didn't get what we asked for the same with the drinks. After we had eaten we were waiting for over 35 minutes and no one came over to see if everything was ok and to see of we required the desert menu but tables around us were getting dealt with. Poor customer service in our pinion.

It's been a while, but remembering it was OK for tea we thought we'd pop in. Never again, absolutely shocking. Looking for something a little different, for me at least, I tried a vegan dish served with onion rings according to the specials board . When I asked where the onion rings where...'we can't do vegan onion rings'. What was actually delivered to the table leads to me thinking that whoever is in charge of the kitchen either didnt check it before it went out or perhaps , even worse didnt care. It's a tough times for pubs but if this is where the standards of The Manor House have fallen to...well, they deserve what they get. AVOID

There's been a change in management and it really shows. The lady who was there after the refit wouldn't have let the food we got served out of the kitchen. The nachos I got served were half the size they were 6 months ago, missing most of the topping and the crumbs from the bottom of the bag. There were 2 full nachos the rest were crumbs. The toppings consisted of a teaspoon of salsa , no guacamole, a lump of hard white stuff , that could only be stale sour cream . Next to mains . The skewer, well was asked to be made gluten free and came with a flat bread that wasn't GF, when it came back the skewer had 2 bits of chicken 4 slices of pepper and 2 but of onion and 8 chips in a bowl . The skewer was almost cold add that to the sad salad and it was really disappointing . My partner had a parmo , the parmo was really hot and the chips that came with it were stone cold , on the plus side the chips are now home made and not frozen , but I that is honestly the only good point in the whole meal and that's from my 8 got chips . It is truly shocking how it's gone down hill since September time. I noticed every table around us where complaining to each other about something they had.

Should have ordered from the Doggy Tapas menu. After a fiasco around them taking an order for something they didn’t have and the complication of it being on the restaurant week set menu things didn’t get any better. Starter squashed nachos in a bowl that’s was took back as you probably needed a spoon to eat them. These used to be served on a plate but now they are squashed into a small bowl. They did bring more out which were OK. Mains, parmo was ok chips were cold and very dry. Gluten free chicken skewer had two small pieces of chicken on, that wasn’t the worst, Oh it had a naan bread on. Oops bad for someone who is has an allergy to gluten. This plate was taken back to be brought back out with a cold skewer and fresh salad, had to wait for the chips to be cooked. Left 3/4 of it. Not a good experience for restaurant week and will not be returning. Celiacs beware!!!!

Couldn't fault the food, but the manager should have delt with the two boys running wild as they were a danger to the staff carrying food out. Having expected to have a pleasant evening.. we were disappointed... Manager step up!

Didn't go for a meal just an old mates get together few beers and a chat. Restaurant was quite full for early evening with families, pet friendly in the bar area bar staff friendly and polite and remembered what we were drinking each time we went to the bar so we didn't have to take a note each time..lol 4 stars only because we didn't have food to comment on but what we saw looked delicious.

Went as a walk in on a Sunday dinner time (17:00hrs), as expected there were no Sunday lunches left however we didn’t go for a Sunday lunch so all was good. Went to order the beef in red wine to be told they didn’t have any, so went for the next best thing…..a Parmo! Never have I ever received a Parmo as average in Middlesbrough before….ive watched my child eat a larger kids Parmo from a takeaway….and to charge £13.50 is an absolute joke! The staff were all very juvenile and lacked any type of customer service……we asked for mayo and ketchup for the table, and received a ridiculous amount of mayo, and were told there was no ketchup….how does a restaurant nowadays have no ketchup??? When asked how the meal was, and I responded average at best, again no apology or enquiry as to why, just an embarrassed look and funny little shuffle away. The menu appears promising however the chef clearly lacks in either passion, ability or both! I wouldn’t waste your time. I’d recommend however a pint and packet of pork scratchings….you probably wouldn’t go too far wrong!

They food was lovely and the protions were a decent size, the service was quick even without a reservation and the atmosphere is lovely and cosy.

Reserved a rable, waited 5 minutes at the bar for someone to direct us to a table. Every table was marked reserved and laid out. We were pointed to a dirty table with no place mats and not set out. 10 minutes later, still no service. Had to go to the bar again for service, A girl came and took our food and drinks order, 5 mins later came back and said sorry we don't have any left. Had to order different food. Lunch arrived, warm at best, beef was stringy, roast pots were hard like they had been heated all day.. the Yorkshire pudding was a disgrace, cold, hard but raw in the middle. No mashed potato... you have to pay extra for that. We won't be back.

discusting food and very disrespectful staff, went to the bar to order drinks, a girl girl on the bar kept looking at me and diddnt serve me, she said I’ll be with you in a second, she was chatting to other bar staff no one was at the bar 15 mins later got my drink and the order was wrong, when it came to food my parmo was cold in the middle, asbsoultly discusting would not recommend

Absolutely fantastic pub, we stopped on the way upto Middlesbrough for the football, offers on the drinks and food was absolutely amazing Definitely be back and definitely recommend to anyone or even any wanting a stop off

Sunday lunch was so cold along with the pub ,also things missing from our order . Will not return which is a shame because the pub and the young bar lads are lovely. The manager needs a kicking up the bum instead of standing there scratching his head saying our missing food was on the way when clearly it wasn't . The kitchen staff need to be shown how to serve hot food .

One meal was cold. Sent it back. It appeared to have been microwaved., as the veg was now overcooked. Meat was poor/chewy. Returned it again. Offered another meal, declined. The good point was they removed it free the bill.

New Year’s Day dinner spoilt. Booked a table for 4 at 5pm. When we first arrived the barman couldn’t get into the computer to verify our booking. Eventually we were seated at 6:15. We ordered our meals and the first one arrived, scampi & chips (minus the house salad). The chips were hard and barely warm and when the scampi was checked it was uncooked and slimy. It was sent back with the waitress stating” they would heat it up”. We politely declined and changed the meal to a pizza instead. The other meals still hadn’t arrived by 6pm by which time we told the young Manager or person in charge to cancel the order. We will not be coming back.

I have to say I was a little disappointed in the place after deciding to try somewhere different from the norm. We decided to get together and eat here on New Year's day. On arrival 2 of the us were asked if a reservation was made and the name before then being directed to a table for 2 despite the reservation being for 4. We were given a table that was dirty and required cleaning despite the place not looking to be all that busy and plenty of other tables being free. They did however come and give it a quick wipe. Another couple who had also come for a meal were also given a dirty table after we had been in the place for some time. The food was hit and miss. I ordered the Medallions of Bistro Rump only for 2 very thin steaks to arrive and being told the chef didn't cook the medallions so you have steak. It was suppose to come with Confit tomato garlic, garden peas and chunky chips only for it to arrive with cabbage, a cooked tomato and no chips. The chips eventually arrived once requested. Slow Cooked Red Wine Beef was nice but the portion size was way too big. The dumpling was very dry and looked more like a scone but overall it was the better of the meals ordered. The Chargrilled Gammon Steak was very salty and not enjoyable and once again the confit tomato was just a cooked tomato. Moving on to the desserts. Each of us went for the homemade sweet waffles and the waffle itself was quite nice. Biscoff was a little strange as no biscoff crumb was even shown to the plate never mind on it I would say. The ice cream and white crunchy bits whatever they were meant to be were ok but again not what we ordered. Toasted Marshmallow was a bit of a joke. It came with no chocolate sauce but did come with ice cream despite the menu mentioning nothing about ice cream and as for toasted marshmallows there wasn't any. The marshmallows on top were the kind you get on a cup of hot chocolate, the very small pink and white ones and in no way toasted. We left very disappointed customers indeed and unlikely to return. I do understand the place could have been understaffed due to the time of year and people letting them down but the lack of effort put into serving what was ordered was just unacceptable. If they didn't have the things available on the menu then rather than just try to throw something together to make a meal speak to the customer and see if it's what they wanted.

Booked a table for my eldest’s birthday. Arrived to be told there was no booking and no effort made to rectify the situation. I had to ask if there were any tables. Eventually told we could sit in the bar but needed to ask again for a table. A table was sorted. Ordered food which took 50mins to arrive and was poor quality. Veg cold. Not the birthday meal experience we expected

We pre booked, pre ordered and paid deposit for 12 people. Table booked for 6pm. Starters (only 4) came out at 6.45 after much complaining. Main courses at 7.50!!. We decided against waiting for desserts. The Manor House had been left to a young, inexperienced supervisor and two young waiting staff. No manager to speak to. Night completely spoilt and we wont be eating here again.

Came here for a Christmas lunch with work, a party of 12 with a reservation. Upon arrival we were not greeted and were not shown to our table so we had to guess which one was ours. A table of 8 which had been converted into a cramped table of 12 with the addition of a couple of chairs so we had to rearrange the table ourselves so we could all fit on. Starters took an hour to arrive, and the main courses were another 45 minutes after the starters were cleared. Those of us who had not ordered starters were starving by this point. Mains were not up to scratch, some mains not as described on their over priced festive menu. Desserts were poor -cookie dough was literally just a cookie topped with ice cream, cookie was not even warm. Incredibly slow service, we were further insulted by the fact people who had arrived after us got their food before us. Waitress who we later learned to be the shift manager was unapologetic and rude and tried to justify our long wait due to the size of our group. We asked the staff a couple of times how long our food would be to be told “it is coming out now” what they meant though was the food for the other tables was starting to come out but not necessarily ours. When our desserts were cleared our complaints were raised, and the manager decided to give us discount off our bill, however not once did she apologise. Bar staff however were apologetic. We understand these issues were not necessarily the fault of the staff on duty, but that does not mean customer service should also go out the window. Will not be back.

We friends booked as paid a deposit for a Christmas Meal, we had give them the meal menu for all of us and told Ty would be ready for the time we booked, we arrived to find no table was ready for us we finally got the table 15 minutes later, bar staff were not sure what a Brandy was, sat and waited for 3quarters of an hour waiting for the starters were told the chief didn’t get our order even though it was pre booked,when they did arrive only three came and one was burned another hour before the main meal came minus one which half of what was on the menu uneaten as it was not cooked veg was frozen no Christmas table no crackers it was a disgusting experience never again will we go back

Previously gave this pub a 5 star review, and came at least once a week, either from work on my lunch break or at the weekend but today we came for Christmas lunch and it was terrible a table of 12. We pre-ordered for 12.30 and waited a full hour for our starters (5 of them) the chicken satay was barely warm. after starters were cleared we waited a further 40 minutes for our main. The Christmas turkey dinner that was advertised was not as described, no carrots or parsnips (as described in their menu). Potatoes were tough as though they had been sat in a tray cold all day and warmed up. Turkey and gravy was nice. Desserts came after around 20 minutes from dinner being cleared and these were nice however more problems... the cookie dough was just a cookie and the waffle which was described as coming with chocolate sauce came with strawberry sauce (like the clearish pink stuff you put on ice cream). Sticky toffee puddings nice. The manager did offer us a discount after we mentioned our complaints, but shame she couldn't offer an apology. The two lads behind the bar were very apologetic about the wait.

Waited 2 hours for the food to be served and the salad was lettuce nothing else, sizzler was not as good as last time when it finally arrived wont return

Very expensive for what u get batter on fish is bigger than the fish itself won't go back there

phoned and reserved a table, requested table 28. on arrival we were told we could not open a tab in that area, we explained we have previously visited on 8 occasions and not had a problem. the girl was not apologetic and said thats how it is. The barman who took out order was lovely, really good customer service. the waiter and waitress however were not. They were miserable, the waitress dropped the cutlery whilst clearing the table, not apologetic. on leaving we thanked the staff who were stood by the end of the bar. only the nice barman spoke to us the other staff were surely and definately didnt look as though they wanted to be there. we have always had good service since the new management took over, but are not sure we would return.

Had a parmo, bit small for price but was nice. Bill came with things on we had not ordered but was put right. Girls who served us were good.

Very very poor sent dried up gammon back to get undercooked back and dehydrated tomato would struggle with a return visit not handled by staff well disappointed ☹️

Went for a friend's 40th. The food was great and a good atmosphere

Booked table object to paying deposit for 7 so booked for 6 put us in a booth but these booths are ok for 5 not 6 so this was poor selection of table we did have to bring over 2 chairs Extremely busy so getting drinks served was slow and hetic. 5 had good meals enjoyed it 2 was just OK. Fish very thin not chunky but nice lasagna was dried overheated and little if any sauce in it should of sent it back but was so busy you couldn’t catch the waitresses attention I left most if it. 1 ordered fish cakes when it came only 1 fish cake as a main meal this was poor when questioned the kitchen said it’s bigger than normal, no it was a normal size fish cake and I am sure this is false advertising you cannot put fish cakes then not say it’s only 1 very wrong Young dark haired girl (pony tail) was lovely and her service was really good Menu is poor selection not a great deal of choice Need more smaller plate choice

They've got a new menu, and we love it, I've had the mezze plate, which is a small.plate but actually big enough as as a meal! Burgers are lush, plus dogs welcome too

The food was excellent. Service was very good. Will be visiting soon again.

We have been here a few times since the new landlady took over. I can highly recommend the food, drink and service. The teriyaki beef is fab. Friendly atmosphere. Great to see this place taking off again. The management have put the effort in and you can tell. Well done

1st time we have been since it re opened.Found the food was excellent, service verry good and staff very friendly.Really enjoyed and will return

The food was nice. We got the Sunday dinner. My only gripe, why should you pay an extra £3 to get mash. It should come with the dinner. I'm sorry but the desserts are very expensive for what you receive. £7 for a really small cheesecake or chocolate browny with a piece of rock hard honeycomb that was like a brick. The staff were nice, and plenty of seating.

We went for a family reunion dinner, 12 of us, short notice online booking , we had an amazing time, the staff could not of been more helpful, everyones food was really nice, and the service was brilliant, no hassle at all, even when another 4 joined us later, staff were really helpful. We will certainly go back to The House, and recommend it to everyone !

Popped in here for bait on a drive back up from down south and it was the correct decision to make. Had the Mexican parmo and it was cooked to perfection. Flavour profile was amazing and portion size was plentiful. Partner had the salmon and adored it. Keep up the good work lads!

Fabulous from start to finish, I’m dairy free, loads of choices, landlady sat with is to go through menu and I was completely 100% confident in her recommendation, very knowledgeable. Amazing with our kids, lollipops were to die for.

i used to absolutely love this place when it was under old management, however since being there since reopened the manager, whilst nice to us customers spoke awful to the poor lad working, and the food is nice but i will not go somewhere where the staff are treat like that!!! following on from this turns out new management have had plenty of problems with their staff, specifically targeting certain members, one of them being the poor staff members that served us and got yelled at in what was supposed to be hushed but wasn’t

What an amazing experience we have just had! The manager was very accommodating and moved us to a bigger table after noticing I was on crutches and in a boot, she even gave me a chair so I could put my leg up. The waiting staff are young but very attentive and lovely. The food was phenomenonal and the new gluten free menu was fantastic. As a coeliac, I felt very safe with their new allergen kitchen and was told they have to ensure they're fully clean before entering it. This was one of the best gluten free parmos I have ever had! My family all really enjoyed their meals too. My dad wants to come back for the steak burger again, my mum loved her lasagne and my partner really enjoyed his fried buttermilk chicken burger. We will definitely be back in the future and will recommend to everyone!

Archie was a wonderful friendly server, the Mexican parmo was the most beautiful meal u have ever had the chance to eat. I would recommend this place for anyone and everyone. Mark it on your bucket list people

My husband and I have just been for Sunday Lunch and it was absolutely delicious, home made Yorkshire puddings , crispy roasties and the gravy was amazing. My husband had the burger and said it was great 👍 They also cater for vegans, vegetarian and gluten free.

GREAT! The Manor House is under new ownership and what a great experience it was. The Sunday dinner me and 5 of my family had were all delicious and very generous. The mash was smooth, big beautiful Yorkshire, well cooked veg and meats with the best gravy I've had in ages!! All staff were polite and friendly, making the full experience a vibe you want on a Sunday afternoon. There is also a dog friendly area I will definitely be bringing my dog to after a lovely local walk. Perfect place for all.

Popped in for a cheeky parmo and a pint. It was the first time that we had visited here for a number of years and it was nice. Midweek, very quiet with swift and friendly service.

Great food and the staff are always pleasant and attentive... especially with the hound! Lol

We visited for Sunday lunch a few months ago (this year) and Sunday lunch although not brilliant it was good. Visited this Sunday I can not say the same. We ordered two meals, chicken and beef roasts. The most immediate impression was the gravy. To say the food was swimming in gravy is not believe me an exaggeration. The carrots were totally submerged, other veg managed to poke through. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt. The meat to be fair was very nice. Would we go again. The meals are now expensive for this area. We would go back but hoping for first experience not the later.

It's ok but won't go again over priced for a school type Sunday dinner and £4 for a small portion of mash . Brought the wrong meal out for my 2 year no old grandson who was starving, all our meals had arrived so he ate most of grandpa's mash and the by the time his meal arrived me didn't want it.

Food was fine, the potions were small, the bar was good and service was good

First time here most definitely the last time. Service is appalling, expect Microwave food to be served definitely not a nice experience, had to put a 1 star to get thos published 🤣

I had scampi and potato skins . The worst food I ever had . I wouldn't recommend to eat here.

Small fish and chips for two, ample portions for lunch, very nice. Polite and v efficient staff. Plenty of parking at 12 noon, and warm as toast inside!

First time dining at The Manor House following a recommendation from a friend. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, food was quickly served, hot and delicious. Will definitely be back and can highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The food is amazing, good prices, staff are fabulous and its a really nice atmosphere. Little bit out of the way but genuinely lovely experience, every time we go.

Been here few months back loved it been tonight its like a different place poor food . Burnt ,tasteless, poor menu,bar staff doing there best kitchen staff spending to much time out side smoking..🤔🤬
