Lovely candlelit afternoon tea on a very cold snowy Sunday. Homemade cakes, sandwiches, scones & trifle and a warm welcome by the lady running the tearoom. A bit of a walk from the centre of Durham in the snow for two visiting ladies, but worth the trek. You do need to pre-book.

Vina Pho in Durham is an absolute gem for authentic Vietnamese cuisine! The broth in their pho is rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. I highly recommend the Beef Pho —the meat is tender, the noodles are fresh, and the portion size is generous. Their summer rolls are also a must —fresh, light, and packed with flavour. The service is always friendly and quick, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a welcoming atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which are massive. If you're in Durham and love Vietnamese food, Vina Pho is a must-visit!

First time in this quaint local cafe, and although I live very close, i have never been. The staff were very pleasant and served in good time. I had the chilli con carne and rice with caramel short bread washed down with a latte. This was really good and will certainly be back. The cafe is hidden from the main road to the rear of Vane Tempest hall, and has scenic surroundings. Worth a visit.

No sé qué ha pasado pero la comida ha cambiado. No es tan bonito como solía ser, y platos han cambiado. Es una pena, siempre ha sido mi favorito chino.

This restaurant is brilliant, the food is amazing (thankyou chefs), the service was attentive. The owner and his staff went above and beyond to make us have a lovely dining experience.Especially as another large party was in around same time. Looking forward to coming back or even trying one of your other restaurants 😊
