First time in this quaint local cafe, and although I live very close, i have never been. The staff were very pleasant and served in good time. I had the chilli con carne and rice with caramel short bread washed down with a latte. This was really good and will certainly be back. The cafe is hidden from the main road to the rear of Vane Tempest hall, and has scenic surroundings. Worth a visit.

A lovely little café hidden away in Gilesgate. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The jacket potato was delicious, and they were great at catering to coeliac disease, as well as offered other gluten-free options, such as gluten-free sandwiches. The loose leaf tea and coffee were fantastic, and excellent quality. An affordable and good value cafe. I'd recommend and would return!

Great food, friendly staff and a great place for two non-stop natterers to catch up over lunch. The baked potato cheese savoury is soooo delicious! And the soups and panini are also excellent. I will be coming again 😊

A local pub with a pool table a big screen tv. It's in a residential area. We just had a couple of early evening drinks, I had the guest beer which was a very tasty Golden Ale and the house Malbec was very good too. The log burner was just what was needed on a very cold night. The was no food being served, but the friendly barman helpfully recommended a couple of restaurants very nearby. We went one and his recommendation was spot on. I'd go back when back in Durham
