The best restaurants serving Default food in Cathedrals Southwark London

This is the second time I have ordered a takeaway from Rice Coming. The first time I had chicken and noodles with vegetables, this time I had braised pork and crispy squid (made my own rice at home). Both times the staff have been warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious and prepared to order. This evening’s fried squid was perfectly seasoned with black pepper and had a tender bite. It was packed with a slightly sweet chilli sauce and a garnish of raw chopped white cabbage and carrot. The braised pork was succulent and soft, slightly sticky and warming, so good. It was served with its own pan juices, including red chilies, and garlic. I live locally and this is definitely my favourite local Chinese restaurant. They have lots of traditional Chinese food on the menu that I haven’t tried yet, but I want to! I don’t normally review local places, but I was so astonished at the other review that I felt I had to try and redress the balance. You should definitely give this place a go!

I’m so astonished by all the negative reviews… This place is AMAZING!!! Great location, tables (with chairs!) in front, great selection of bake goods (both sweet and savoury), delicious coffee and, most importantly, the most outstanding customer service! I’ve been repeatedly served by the wonderful young lady Caitlin and I am honestly so so so grateful for all her warmth. Thank you! ❤️ I’ll certainly be back. Please, make your day and pass by this place. And again, on repeat!..

This place looks fantastic and is full of hipsters. Sadly the coffee doesn't match... I was refused my request of a short espresso in the Portuguese style... because their machine only did double shots. I opted for a machiatto...the coffee was weighed to the gramme...how sad I was offered a bitter infusion

A lovely building and with the usual good wetherspoons prices but the staff are so miserable and the dirty plates just sat ignored even though the place was very quiet.

Fue dos veces por la Eurocopa, una en la fase de grupos y otra en las eliminatorias. Ejecutan una extraña política donde necesitas enviar el nombre y número de teléfono de todos en tu grupo, lo que es una tarea bastante complicada. Envié esto en ambas ocasiones, luego en el viaje 1 estábamos en la lista en la puerta, pero no tenía mesa dentro. Luego en la segunda visita no estábamos en la lista de la puerta, pero había una mesa dentro con nuestro nombre. Empeoró por el portero, que en lugar de transmitir información a y desde el personal del bar con respecto a las reservas, estaba viendo F1 en su teléfono en lugar de dejar entrar a la gente 45 minutos antes del KO. También ejecutan un depósito como una pestaña de bar, que es una manera realmente irritante de ejecutar reservas de grupos grandes, simplemente pagar el depósito y dejar que cada uno pague sus propias bebidas.

Vale. El. Bombeo. Llegamos a Borough Market bastante temprano antes de que llegara la hora del almuerzo. Uno de los primeros puestos que atacamos fue Mei Mei. Nuestros sobrinos nunca han tenido Nasi Lemak antes (tenemos en Singapur) , y querían probarlo. Por supuesto, también hubo un empate entre el tío Roger y la tía Liz. El nasi lemak estaba abofeteando. Simplemente untuoso y con un sabor profundo como el que teníamos en SG. Lemak Lemak ahhh! Estaba delicioso y llegamos a tomar una foto con la tía Liz también (ella era súper agradable! ). Definitivamente, vale la pena visitar el mercado de Borough solo para Mei Mei.

Had come across Bob's Lobster on Instagram and the food looked amazing so couldn't wait to try it. Discovered it was £20 (!!) for a single lobster roll so my partner and I decided to share. Whilst the brioche roll and filling were was tasty, the portion size was shockingly small for the price, think we got 2 bites each from our half, so a fiver a bite in other words, and most of that was roll 😅 don't waste your money guys!

Caminé a primera hora del martes por la mañana mientras trabajaba a la vuelta de la esquina y quería probar las cocinas locales desde que comencé una dieta diferente. No fue recibido, incluso después de mirar el menú por un tiempo. Una vez que pregunté sobre una posible opción de desayuno, recibí una respuesta grosera y abrasiva. Los precios parecían demasiado altos para lo que obtienes, que después de leer las otras reseñas aquí, me alegro de haber llevado mi negocio a otro lugar (en el camino a una tienda más amigable)

Very nice, atmospheric restaurant in St Catherine's dock. multistorey, nice pub but in the 1st and 2nd floor you can have proper, nice food as well. there is also a small garden. Ideal location

the atmosphere is nice, it looks good from inside and outside. drinks menu is cool too i liked the food too even though i wanted a bit wider options.

Zu essen hatten wir typisch Fish & Chips. Hat geschmeckt aber war nichts besonderes. Frittierter Seelachs mit Pommes. Portion war okay und Preis auch für die zentrale Lage. Ambiente für FastFood auch okay. Bedienung freundlich.Für Essen zwischen rein zu empfehlen jedoch nicht für ein entspanntes Dinner zu Abend.
