This is the second time I have ordered a takeaway from Rice Coming. The first time I had chicken and noodles with vegetables, this time I had braised pork and crispy squid (made my own rice at home). Both times the staff have been warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious and prepared to order. This evening’s fried squid was perfectly seasoned with black pepper and had a tender bite. It was packed with a slightly sweet chilli sauce and a garnish of raw chopped white cabbage and carrot. The braised pork was succulent and soft, slightly sticky and warming, so good. It was served with its own pan juices, including red chilies, and garlic. I live locally and this is definitely my favourite local Chinese restaurant. They have lots of traditional Chinese food on the menu that I haven’t tried yet, but I want to! I don’t normally review local places, but I was so astonished at the other review that I felt I had to try and redress the balance. You should definitely give this place a go!

This has to be the worst Chinese in London. My advice would be to have Pot Noodles or supermarket noodles than to waste your money going to this place. The food was cold and the service was ice cold. When we pointed out this out, we could hear the microwave pinging and certainly no sizzling of the wok. The restaurant closes at 10pm and it was apparent the staff did not want to be there or when we arrived at 9.15pm. However, at 9.54 we were told that they would be closing in 6 minutes, and were presented the Bill with a 10% Service Charge. Actually, you should look at the meaning of Service before you charge for it. The food seems to be all pre- prepared and microwaved. Please don’t waste your time and money.

I was very much looking forward to trying out the vegan rainbow dumplings and dishes, as few Chinese restaurants offer such a range. However, my AWFUL experience has compelled me to leave this review in hope that it offers feedback for change or it saves prospective hungry dim-summers from wasting their time and money. I had met my friend on a rainy Monday night for dinner; when seated, we were told we had only 1.5 hours which was fine. The big problem centred around ordering the vegetarian/vegan Dan Dan noodles from the separate Green Menu. The noodles were served with a topping, which after tasting, it made me query it with the waitress. As a vegan, UTTER HORROR to be simply told it was pork mince. The waitress seemed unaware of their mistake, despite my shock and disgust and any rectification had to asked for. We had to ask for the noodles to be replaced with our ordered one, ask for a clean bowl and for the dumplings that were in my bowl to be replaced too – all this seemed to inconvenience the waitress. And simply no apology from the waitress or manager. It’s lucky that this is not a case of an allergy – the staff were inconsiderate and careless towards their customers. To top it off, our bill was given to us without asking, made to pay promptly and clear message to leave despite empty tables around us and no-one waiting. Dinner served with a big cold dose of ignorance and rudeness – what a shame as offering good service costs nothing!

I made the mistake of ordering grilled fish. Apparently I was supposed to have told the waiter when ordering that I did not want the fish too dry. The grilled fish was hard and dry. It was a waste of money and response from the guy who served us was very unprofessional even though he was a likeable character. Won't be going back here.

Nos alojamos en el hotel de al lado, así que el restaurante hermanas de graduación fue muy conveniente después de un largo día.
