Delicious Emperor’s Brunch at Hutong. We went for the Giufei free flow drinks as well and appreciated managements flexibility on the beer (they allowed pale ale instead of the lager). Good was excellent and free flow white wine was also excellent quality.

It was a special dinner for my daughter and myself but was very dissapointed. The beef was tasteless, the soft shell crabs were not as they used to be and our original waitress was so unfriendly, i think she left her smile at home. Would not come back.

I would not recommend !!!! Their signature duck is even get cold when to serve us. We ordered a sky view package for a birthday celebration. Their service is under standard. One of their waiter just put a dim sum on our table and leave without say anything. After 3mins later, when we take care by ourselves when we don’t warm the dim sum getting cold . Which another waiter running to us said sorry to come late for introducing . and they service all the dishes (4dishes ) at the same times when is not on the standard of fine dinning .we have been charged £370 for 2 persons and we have a unsatisfied experience.

Fantastic lunch with stunning views

Our experience was disappointing, particularly in terms of service. The food fell short of expectations—the half Peking duck portion consisted solely of surface duck skin, which is not an authentic presentation of the dish. Service was noticeably slow; we waited a long time just to receive menus and be attended to. While the atmosphere was good and the views were pretty, the lighting was so dim that we could barely see each other. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations.

Loved our lunch at Hutong. Food was flavoursome, especially the Ma Po Tofu. Gina was very warm and welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of.

As for the food - it's nothing short of sensational. Each dish is beautifully presented, the crispy beef and Peking duck were our highlights. Whether you’re there for a special occasion or just treating yourself, Hutong delivers on all fronts.

Celebrated my father’s 65th Birthday. We booked a table with ala carte menu. Starters were mind blowing, we opted spring rolls and chicken wings with leek soup. Highly recommend the spring rolls. For main course we ordered chilli Prawns which was good. Another main course was fried chicken which felt a bit too dried. Service was quick. Staff were friendly. The place was very busy even on a weekday but staff made us feel very welcome. My father had a good Birthday!

We came as a family today and had Alex as our server. He was great and made our experience amazing.

Extortion — £250 for two for lunch will get you mediocre food, terrible service, but a nice view of the East London skyline. We reserved in advance for a Saturday lunch. When we arrived, we found out the only food option was a £60 pound fixed price brunch menu with drinks averaging about £20 each. The staff was inattentive, fake and downright nasty. After our meal we wandered into another section of the restaurant, were treated like trash for doing so and escorted to the nearest exit. When we asked our server to take home the leftovers of our main course (not the all you can eat free flowing dim sum) our request was rapidly denied when all we were asking was to take home the “one” main per person we paid for. We also languished for what seemed like an eternity between the mains and desert. Hutong started out great, but ended with the proverbial bad taste in your mouth. We will never return, nor will we recommend Hutong to friends and family.

We had a wonderful time, the views and the staff were excellent, the food on another level and the drinks perfect! The only thing was the base on the music was to high. Would definitely recommend. We had the dynasty brunch woth bottomless drinks which is the way forward!

Beautiful food. I have visited the restaurant before but this was the first time we tried the Sunday brunch. It’s good value for money (for the place) and combined with the unlimited drinks makes for a great way to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon. The service staff specially Gina were amazing and made the experience entirely worth it.

Excellent food and service. We opted for the lunch £39 option and it was plenty enough food. We had the half duck which was a little expensive at £70 but still delicious. The service couldnt be faukted, very friendly and attentive. Overall we would definitely recommend and return.

We went for the Dim Sum on the cloud at their Shanghai Bar. The London view was great as always pairing with the mode and music there was perfect. We were sat down at the table next to the table where we can see the city and Tower Bridge in front of us and we are thankful to the team that made this arrangement possible. Special thanks to Simrit who was genuine, diligent and kind with a smile. We had a great yet unrushed dining experience on the cloud. Thanks.

Gina was a super hostess and really looked after us. We absolutely couldn't fault the food it was really special, the cocktails were also really tasty. Only disappointing thing was that the table was in the middle of the room which was a shame given that you come for the views.

Staff were lovely. However we ordered two cocktails and they tasted like syrup..or medicine actually! Overpriced and underwhelmed. Probably the worst cocktails we have had! And we don’t mind spending the extra pound for something nice! So so bad. Ordered the mala popcorn and it was so stale we couldn’t touch it.

My visit to Hutong was, unfortunately, deeply disappointing. For a price of £110 per person, I expected so much more – in fact, this was the worst dining experience I’ve had so far. The spare ribs were mostly bone with barely any meat, and the rice was greasy – I’ve had better at much cheaper restaurants. The mocktails were overly sweet, to the point where they were barely drinkable. The service added to the discomfort: the staff were in a rush, clearing plates almost the moment we sat down. I felt stressed and unwelcome throughout the meal, and there was no sense of calm or enjoyment. The only highlight was the stunning view – but sadly, that was the only redeeming quality. It simply doesn’t justify the price or the overall experience. I won’t be returning.

Food and atmosphere were amazing. Experienced extremely poor service upon arrival which negatively impacted our experience. Assistant general manager Dovile was fantastic and very helpful throughout the evening.

We have visited Hutong on a number of occasions and it never fails to disappoint. At the latest visit, the food was excellent, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere superb. On top of that, the views of London are magical.

The waiter wasn’t friendly and huffed and puffed when we were ordering or made changes to our order. We also felt rushed and this service made the experience less enjoyable.

The customer service and waiter were excellent. Ambiance was a bit noisy seeing it was a busy Saturday night. You have a great view of the city London. The food tasted like the average chinese cuisine, nothing to write home about. We had, the pecking duck with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable fried rice, seafood fried rice, chicken dim sum, pork dim sum, calamari flowers. We ordered several cocktails which were all great, however in the more expensive side. There is not much parking around this area so best use the train (London Bridge station is right next to it). Very pricy Asian cuisine, but overall experience was excellent.

They told us when we took our dinner order that the minimum price we had to pay was 160 GBP.

Very friendly food was gorgeous

Having been to Hutong many times when I lived in London I was deeply saddened by the changes. It is no longer the salubrious affair it once was and I doubt I will recommend it nor return again. When you pay in excess of £300 for a meal with alcohol and in our case over £280 for a set menu with water, people expect to be able to eat at a leisurely pace. The decreased time of 1hr 45 minutes to eat a set menu now makes it a rushed and stress inducing experience leaving no time to savour the food, it used to be longer. The amount of tables clock watching and on edge made for a less than ideal atmosphere and fell short of previous visits where customer experience and satisfaction were at the top of the restaurants agenda. I suggest you go elsewhere because from prior visits that extra 15 minutes makes such an overall difference to the whole experience. Our waiter was extremely attentive without being intrusive, polite, funny and an exceptional waiter. The chef was also lovely. It is just such a shame that 15 minutes can change so much. Hutong was once a place I raved about and my friend travelled 3 hours yesterday so that I could take him to my favourite restaurant. I felt embarrassed when he noticed everyone else was clock watching and he felt he couldn't even finish the mains he was still picking at, nor sit at the table whilst I went to the ladies because the table had to be given back in 3 minutes.

An absolutely amazing experience, I cannot endorse it enough, it was perfect for a special occasion. The food and service were spectacular and complimented the view. I recommend the table with a view, with the set menu and wine pairing. The background was a bit loud, as it was very busy, but otherwise perfect.

As we arrived early for our reservation, we had a cocktail in the bar before moving in to the restaurant. Fabulous table in the window overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge. There is only one place we will eat Chinese food in London and we have now found our second in Hutong. I had the best sweet and sour chicken I’ve we had and my husband loved the lamb. The sommelier, Julia, was outstanding and took time to go through the tricky task of pairing wine with the sweet & sour. We will definitely come back.

We had a fantastic time here doing the Dim Sum in the Clouds. Each piece was absolutely delicious, and more filling than we expected. And the artistry of dim sum was beautiful. We will absolutely return.

Very lovely waitress managed to get me my favourite salt and pepper tofu with fired seaweed off the menu item. Charming Brazalian or Spanish lady at reception, soo welcoming and lovely made the experience joyful. Every basic dish and average food includijf my veggie options are like £30, soo overpriced. If the management doesn’t revise the prices they will suffer from losing loyal customers.

Food was wicked and location and view was incredible

Great food however everything was very delayed . The tables next to us were way too loud so difficult to have a proper conversation. Additionally, we asked for the dessert menu twice and after waiting a while , we finally gave up and cleared the bill .

We had a gift voucher for lunch, however the waitress did not what the voucher covered. Also at the end we were charged for service on the voucher value, but the voucher clearly stated the voucher included service fee. All rather embarrassing for a top class restaurant..

Everything is world class starting from booking. Food is delicious and the view is extraordinary. Alex was serving us and offering outstanding and attentive services. We had a memorable Anniversary.

We were a little disappointed as the seating in the restaurant was extremely uncomfortable with hard, upright, solid wooden chairs. Service was exceptional and food was good but very overpriced

Food and wine was fabulous, I’d come back just to have the duck again! Service was first class. Beautiful restaurant but why so dark. We had to use our phone torch to read the menus, I just don’t understand why this is a ‘thing’ 🤷🏼‍♀️ But we had a great night and will return.

First we go there and are asked to wait at the bar to be seated, we waited over 35 mins After we sit they tell us some things are not on the menu and change it Its fine, happens But what was unacceptable is the big table next to us Coked up (yes the drug cocaine) doing it on the table as well being drunk and so loud that i could bot hear my own voice And we got asked to move table Its supposed to be a high end restaurant when you have a loud table you tell them to keep it down or kick them out not tell to the surrounding tables to move Being white British in this country gets you many privileges being ethnic you are asked to move table You even kept the service charge on the bill 😂 I Just wanted to have a birthday dinner with my girlfriend but you had to ruin it guys you don’t ask a table of 2 with a bill of 300+£ to move table because you lack the confidence to tell the other table to shut it Thanks

Wir waren zu dritt. Die Aussicht ist Super. Für ein Restaurant in dieser Preis Kategorie ist die Hintergrundmusik viel zu laut. Das animiert die Gäste und das Personal auch laut zu sprechen. Man will nicht wirklich länger bleiben als die 90 Minuten die einem bei der Reservierung zu gestanden werden. Schön essen gehen geht anders. Das essen ist gut aber hofnungslos überteuert. Das Personal ist gut und freundlich aufgrund der erwähnten Lautstärke wirkt alles etwas hippelig nervös. Das einem 15% als Trinkgeld automatisch auf die Rechnung gesetzt werden ... ist ein No-go Ein zweites mals wird es nicht geben. There were three of us. The view is fantastic. For a restaurant in this price range, the background music is far too loud. This encourages guests and staff to speak loudly. You don't really want to stay longer than the 90 minutes allotted to you when you make your reservation. There's no way to go out for a nice meal. The food is good but hopelessly overpriced. The staff is good and friendly, but the aforementioned noise level makes everyone seem a bit jumpy and nervous. The 15% tip automatically added to the bill... that's a no-go. There won't be a second visit

Gorgeous view, food is not bad, fried chicken fillet with Sichuan chili was really tasty. Atmosphere can be very noisy, service is so-so. Would recommend for a special occasion just for the incredible view
