Utterly disappointed, sent the meals back . Ordered fillet steaks and I couldn't cut through them , never mind eat them . So very sad from a restaurant under such a reputable banner and chef title .. sadly won't be returning

My partner and I attended for dinner with prosecco as we were gifted a red letter date. Service was quick, but the set menu was very limited, especially for vegetarians/pescetarians. Food was average. Desert was the best of the three courses. The main reason for a 2 start rating is a mouse ran over my partner's foot whilst we were in the restaurant which makes you question the hygiene standards

I purchased the afternoon tea for a family member and I was honestly appalled. The setting is incredibly uncomfortable and awkward, with a small space dedicated to the afternoon teas. Seats are also way too close to each other. The food is mediocre for the price and the quality is quite poor in certain aspects e.g the scones were dry and and the sandwich’s were thin with barely any filling. To make matters worse the service was terribly poor, they spoke very bad English, the cutlery was dirty and we were constantly served pots of cold tea. If your looking for a good afternoon tea experience please look elsewhere. If I could get a refund I would!

The food was good but my word, the staff.. the place had 3 members of staff; one on the door taking the new guests to their tables, second member of staff was taking orders/serving drinks and the third member was just running around confused. It was as though they just didn’t know what they were doing, at all. Generally felt really bad for them as they were polite, but their lack of understanding ruined it for all the guests in the restaurant. When we arrived we waited 20 mins to be seated, our meal from start to finish was over 3 hours long. Other guests were leaving due to trains to catch. A family hadn’t even received one of their main dishes and left before the dessert. The food was great and the wine was lovely, Marco I would really look into the lack of staffing/training at your restaurant as this will effect people returning.

Despite making a reservation for afternoon tea and confirming it, we were kept waiting for over an hour. Several other people were having the same issue. No one met us at the front desk so we were left hanging around for several minutes before being led to a holding area where were ignored for half an hour. Eventually we were given a glass of prosecco but still no table. When we finally were seated we were not served until I had to go and find the manager. Dreadful experience!

⭐⭐ is what I give this place. We visited this place for high tea, but the experience fell flat right from the start. Despite having a reservation, we were left standing around for over 15 minutes before anyone seated us. The service itself didn’t improve much from there. The staff seemed more like fast-food chain employees than attentive high tea servers. Polite, yes, but not exactly the professional, polished experience you'd hope for. As for the food, the sandwiches and scones were just okay – passable but nothing special. But the cakes and sweets? Downright dreadful. They tasted like they’d come straight from Aldi’s bargain shelf, lacking any freshness or quality. For the price, we expected a lot more effort and a lot less grocery-store vibe. We didn't even bother eating everything. For a place of this caliber, we expected much higher quality. Not worth the price for what we got.

We had a voucher for a three course meal for two with a glass of prosecco, but upgraded to a bottle. We were seated upstairs away from the main dining area. Our reservation was for late afternoon. Downstairs in the main dining area it seemed quiet lively, unfortunately we were not to experience this. I was going to enquire why we had been seated upstairs, but decided the food would make up for the lack of atmosphere, sadly this was not to be.We felt a bit like the poor relations!. Joking aside, the decor was less than desirable, and the table was chipped, & area genrally shabby looking. The set menu was disappointing The food itself was okay, but certainly nothing special. The staff were attentive & very polite, so no fault to be found there. Its a shame really as we were both looking forward to the experience. Food is mediocre - nothing wrong with it but the gourmet name doesn't match up with what you get - could be served in any mid-tier pub. Service is inattentive and lacked attention to detail - constantly had to chase for attention, things not delivered etc. Get a better experience in my local Wetherspoons. Fine if you have a voucher (which I suspect is the underlying problem - the incentives are all wrong) but wouldn't spend my own money here.

The most incompetent restaurant I think I have ever been too. Reservation at 2:45. Still waiting at 5pm. Mine was the last to come out and when by which time my party had almost finished their food. When it did arrive it was wrong (ordered steak and they brought steak and prawns, I have a shellfish allergy). They said wait 15 mins and we’ll make it again. 25 mins later and nothing. All the parties food was sub-standard. Pasta looked like crap if I’m honest and was luke warm. Wouldn’t go back if you paid me. Was full of old ladies with vouchers. Left the restaurant starving. Awful. Minus 5 stars.

If you get a voucher, transfer it to some other experience! It's not Italian, and definitely not a NY Italian! They put some old NY pictures on the wall, that's the NY experience. There a 2 pasta dishes, spaghetti Bolognese, and pomodoro, both mediocre and definitely not in a NY style marinara. The burger was so overdone it was inedible. On the plus side, the wings and nachos were good, but that is Tex Mex and doesn't belong in a NY Italian. I have done many of these experiences over the years, Fifteen, Raymond Blanc, lots of others, all great food and atmosphere. Marco should be embarrassed to have his name on the door (or the stained sign above it). I have had better meals in a Weatherspoons.

I wish I could have reviewed the food in this restaurant but they didn’t seem to have any. We arrived on a Monday night and had chosen the hotel due to the restaurant as we were fans of Marco. A waiter took us to a table and then came back with the menus. He advised us that nothing was available from the seasonal specials side of the menu and that the set meal options on the menu were also unavailable but it was steak night and handed us another menu with 5 items on it. He then advised only two of those items were available. Whilst we were trying to decide between the two items of food available we tried to order a bottle of red wine but only the two most expensive bottles were available. At this point we gave up and left. The waiter didn’t seem interested or concerned. I understand that restaurants can run out of dishes when they are busy but we were the only people in the restaurant early in the evening. It was a very disappointing experience after a long trip from Amsterdam, And Marco should be ashamed to have his name associated with this place

Very attractive place. Mondays are half price steak, so Tbone is $25, sirloin was $13, and ribeye was $14. The sirloin was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Went on 16/9/2024 as start to our holiday. The service was poor, more than 45 min waiting time between courses. Poor service, poor atmosphere. So many people sending their food back or not getting what they had ordered. All you could hear was people complaining to other dinners about the lack of service and poor quality of food. We ordered a bottle of wine, took to end of main meal to receive and then it was 2 glasses. 1st course was fine, second course ordered avocado Caesar salad, less than a 1/4 of avocado in it. Staff brought steak knife after my partner had finished his main meal. Neither of us ate the dessert as not enjoying. Asked for bill did not arrive, had to find staff to pay, then had to query the bill, which was eventually amended. I have been to Marco Pierre Whites in the City before and was great. However I would not recommend the London bridge restaurant. If I could have put less than 1 star in rating I would have. There was nothing enjoyable about this visit. This was given as a present, had to say how poor it was to family who gave it to ensure they do not book for anyone else.

What a disaster. Avoid this place if you are looking for a nice night out. My wife and I had a voucher for 3 course dinner with fizz for two. We were welcomed and our glasses of fizz were delivered. We both decided to pay the supplement of £10.95 to have sirloin steaks. What a mistake. I ordered my steak medium rare and my wife ordered medium. When they arrived, my steak might have been just OK but was cold. My wife's steak was raw. We sent it back. It was returned to her still raw. I took the Duty Manager aside and gave him the opportunity to start again. Our meals were taken away, and after a wait, we finally received decently cooked steaks. I should say that while we were waiting, four others diners sent their meals back. All in all, a dreadful experience which I will not risk repeating. How could a restaurant with the Marco Pierre White reputation serve such poorly prepared food? Never again.

DONT BOTHER WITH BUYAGIFT OR RED LETTER DAYS! From start to finish you are spoken to and served like a second class citizen, the seating area for the set menu is well hidden from the actual restaurant, with glass panels that keep you well away from the ”actual customers” and the view out of the window, scaffolding and building works, fantastic. The service is slow, there are sloths quicker than the servers in this restaurant. We arrived dead on time at 6pm for our table we waited half hour for it to be ready then another half hour for our orders to be taken and for water to be served. The “Fizz” is cheap and bitter, Aldi has a better selection. The food is a joke, Tescos ready meals have more excitement, the plates will give you 3rd degree burns and well the food, luke warm. If I’d known I would have brought my own ketchup. All in all, I would save your money and get a difference experience, unless you like waiting over 45 minutes for your plates to be cleared from the table. Came for afternoon tea with my husband using a voucher. Initially we were seen and attended to very quickly and shown to our seats with the offer of the prosecco so far so good. However, we were extremely disappointed at the selection of our afternoon tea alongside some of the utensils. We could tell it was a busy day as others were eating in the restaurant but a quick check to make sure cleaning products were put away and the cleanliness of the cutlery makes all the difference. I know other places top up the scones and sandwiches once they run low, but there was no offer of that nor were we offered water like other tables. The scones were lovely and we could have had more of this. The sandwich collection wasn't great and preferably these should have been cut triangular to make it feel more presentable. It felt like once we had been served we were left to it and there was no check in to see if everything was enjoyable or we needed anything else. We had high expectations unfortunately this did not live up to the hype.

Went to Marco Pierre Whites with a Buy a Gift voucher. What a waste of money. We were aat in an area away from other guests, which we called the voucher area (or the cheap seats). The area had no Atmosphere, music or anything to make it feel special, just a standard restaurant. The waiter gave us our glass of Prosecco but did not offer any water or the main drinks menu. We had to ask for this on one of his rare visits to the voucher section. The restaurant says it’s a New York Style Italian, more or an American Diner. Nachos, Ribs Chicken wings and salad as a starter is hardly Italian. The mains did have Pasta options or a burger. If you want the Steak on the set menu it will cost £10.50. Good selection of sides if you like chips in many variations. If not there is a Garlic bread, onion rings or Salad. Ribs were tasty but came from the smallest pig on earth and had more rocket than meat. The chicken wings again were tasty but small with a generous side of raw celery. It did look like Celery with a side of Wings. Then there was the pasta, bolognese with a small amount of Parmesan (did not get offered extra) and the Chicken Milanese is just an overcooked piece of chicken on a bed of under seasoned penne pasta in a tomato sauce. An insult to lovers of Italian food. You could make the same with a jar of pasta sauce and a Bernard Matthew Turkey steak. Desserts were good but it’s hard to mess up a tiramisu and an ice cream. Best part is we had a 10% service charge added to the bill for our 1 drink each and garlic bread. Long story short, don’t bother!!

Illuminated by brightly coloured neon lights around the whole lobby and interesting brick work. I enjoyed the lobby experience. The restaurant was just as appealing to the eyes and the staff were quick and very attentive. Once we ordered, the food was quick to come. I was actually surprised at how prompt the starters were delivered to the table. Staff were friendly and easy to grab when we wanted more water or other questions. STAFF TRIED THEIR BEST BUT .... This is a bland, soulless restaurant that didn’t provide a decent service because it was understaffed. I've given 3 stars for service but it comes with a caveat: the service we received was in some ways very poor, but the overworked staff tried their best in very difficult circumstances and individually they were very good. We arrived on time but waited 15 minutes to be received and seated, standing in a queue running from the reception desk to the entrance door, down stairs wet from the rain outside. Once seated we were promptly given a glass of fizz but then waited over half an hour for anyone to take our order. There weren't enough staff, perhaps due to supply and demand in the labour market. This was not the fault of the staff and none of them deserved the abuse doled out by some of the customers. Were I a restaurant manager I'd be reluctant to close the place any given night due to having too few staff members, but if you can't provide a proper offering surely it needs to be considered? Were I a celebrity chef I'd be reluctant to continue lending my name to the bland fare served up on our visit. My bbq ribs were ok but nothing special. My companion's starter was a bowl if tomatoes with a but of onion. The chicken Milanese was bland and microwavey. The spaghetti bolognese was tasteless and unappetising. The cheesecake was soggy and insipid. The interior was corporate and chain-like. This meal was purchased as part of a Virgin Experiences package that includes a trip up The Shard. Perhaps we should have checked the distance from The Shard, as we were surprised to discover it involves a 15 minute walk.

Take away the Marco Pierre branding and it's basically like any other cheap pub chain place. If you dislike your friends and family buy them a voucher for this place. Very disappointing.

Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated (pre-booked). Wasn't offered a drink while we waited. Then, I had to wait another 15 minutes to be served once seated. The sandwiches and tea were nice, though.

We went as a Red Letter set meal package. The menu was very limited and basic, certainly not what would have been expected from a PMW restaurant. We needed to send one plate back due to food packaging found inside the spaghetti bolognaise. So disappointed.. as it was a very long way to travel for a very poor meal.

Sadly our experience was poor. The restaurant itself is nice, not too noisy, good setting, great first impression. However, the food took an unacceptable amount of time from ordering to be served (45 minutes). The food itself was, in main, ok but nothing special. One of the dishes, a rigatoni dish, was bland. As with some of the other restaurants in the chains of famous chefs, the more informal establishments seem to too often trade off the name rather than deliver a good all round experience that you’d want to repeat. Patrons are not expecting the incredible experience and food of the formal and original restaurants that you pay significantly more for, but nor should your experience be poorer than a good gastro pub or restaurant not linked to a famous brand. A shame. Other diners perhaps had more positive experiences.

I can’t believe someone like Marco would put his name on this place. The food was terrible, it was so bad my wife went to the local M&S to get a salad. The food was bland and tasteless. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all, so disappointed ..!!

We came here as part of a joint BuyaGift voucher of a trip up the Shard plus meal. Although we were booked in at 7.15 p.m. it took them 15 minutes to seat us and another 10 minutes to take our order. They were clearly understaffed but, even then, there were times when staff were standing around when they could have been taking customers' orders. The food from the set menu was okay, nothing special, but my cheesecake dessert had not been defrosted fully and was tasteless.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while but kept forgetting. I don't understand why this restaurant has low scores. I've visited many times, and each time, both the food and service improve. The staff are extremely attentive and always ready to help, not just with questions about the restaurant but also about the hotel and directions. Honestly, for a chain, Marco Pierre White London Bridge is a perfect 10 out of 10.

Had a birthday meal with my friend, and we were very impressed with the outstanding service—attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent, and the steak was the best she had tasted in a long time. The veggies and sides are extra, bit hard to find and it’s with London Bridge hotel, Even so, it was a fantastic meal. Thank you!

Went for afternoon tea today as a present for my husbands birthday and we were completely disappointed! The bread of the sandwiches were hard, the cucumber was soggy, the lemon cake tasted off and the overall experience was awful. We were shown to our seats and then left sitting there for half an hour, no offer of a drink or anything then when the actually food came it just went further downhill. Was a complete waste of money and would definitely not recommend it to anyone

We were gifted a buyagift experience for Marco Peire White Resturant in Lavington Street London. We ordered pre-dinner drinks, a glass of Pimms each, which was served with ice but no garnish, basically a small shot of pimms from a bottle with lemonade. Starters were OK. For mains we paid a £10.95 supplement for the Sirloin Steak dish that consisted of Steak, tomatoes and chips, anything else was extra. The steaks were very slow arriving and when they arrived we were very disappointed. They were very tough, made worse by blunt Steak knifes. My partner managed to consume hers but half of mine was inedible being mainly grissle. My partner stated that she had better steaks at wetherspoons for only the price of the supplement we paid. For pudding we opted for the tiramasu. Nothing wrong with it, but looked and tasted like shop bought. If you are reading this, Mr. Peire White I suggest you get down there and sort it out. We certainly won't be going to any of your resturants again.

Honestly the most basic food from start to finish. What a sad experience for our tastebuds. Come on Marco - go taste it for yourself. We had a 3 course voucher and paid £100 on top. I’d rather buy £100 worth of pot noodles mate. My ribs were chewy and cack. My mum and dad had calamari which was a rubber offering. I decided to order pizza as a safe bet but I’ve had better frozen pizzas in a microwave NO blooming JOKE. Then came the cheese cake - was the final insult. Tastes of nothing. I’d have a better time chewing a travel card. You guys plonked us in what was the hotel breakfast bar by the cutlery drawers which set the scene for a basic eve. Zero vibes. Your staff struggled to answer simple questions such as “is the pasta dry?”….. answer was yes of course. Don’t even serve chilli oil with pizza. Luckily me, my partner and my folk have a good sense of humour and enjoyed each other's company. I’d give you 0 if I could but I can’t. Take a bit of pride.

We went to MPW as we had a buyagift voucher for our birthday. It was not easy to find. We arrived early but we were able to have a drink in the hotel bar. We received the two free prosecco quickly. We waited ages for someone to ask what we wanted to eat from a set menu which did not have a lot of choice. My husband has to ask a staff member if we could order our food. No one asked us if we wanted a drink. My husband does not drink prosecco. The staff did interact with you. The restaurant was not posh as we thought it was going to be. The food was great but the atmosphere and the slow service of the staff was disappointing. We went to Gina D'acampo restaurant in Newcastle and the restaurant was better visually, staff were attentive, they could not do enough for you. Atmosphere was a lot better too

We had the set meal as a gift at Christmas , upon arrival the entrance was” EXTREMELY”shoddy and the general look of the place was worn and tatty. The set menu was appointed to one room where it felt like an all-inclusive. I had chicken wings to start and when they arrived they looked like they had been heated up from last weeks left overs the chicken tastes like old rotting poultry I feared for my life and thought I’d give them a miss. I selected spaghetti Bolognese as I thought no one could mess that up and I was right, it was passable and a affogato for dessert was nice. The staff were polite apart from being to lazy to take plates back one table at a time with manners, they went from table to table stacking plates on top of each other which was gross. Would definitely not recommend going.

Went here for Sparkling Afternoon Tea as a Christmas gift from a family member. Service was very slow and food wasn't all that. Bread was a bit hard, think this was where they had pre-made them. Sandwiches lacked flavour and cakes were very sweet - I have a sweet tooth and they were too sweet for me! Only got one glass of proseco but had the option for a hot drink. Overall experience was disappointing and expected a lot more seeing as it was owned by a British Chef.
