Pret a Manger in Southwark

They NEVER have the filter coffee despite many advertising boards saying "Filter coffee is back". The thing is all of the other branch will offer you filter replacement at it's price but this store does not. Remove it from your product list if you never have it!

Super polite staff. Excellent atmosphere, greatly assisted me by recommending what products to get as well as maintaining basic professionalism. The mozzarella, pesto baguette is terrific!

The staff and managers are nice people but rude. They treat customers like thieves. As soon as you open your mouth and say the word “toilet” they jump on you in a very rude way to appoint of almost shouting (are you a customer, what did you order, order first, I didn’t see you here, no you’re not a customer…etc). The next thing you’d ask is why would you want to use the toilet! No one needs to proof they are customers and it’s very rude to interrogate someone in such way. It’s a professional area and customers should be talked to in a professional manner.

Horrible customer service, cold coffee not Pret standards. Staff don’t know how to make coffee. Visit this shop on Saturday 11/05/24. Please train the staff both guys don’t know how to treat customers or to make coffee

Been in the shop just about 10min ago went to the counter and give my food i got from the fridge etc and the guy at the counteri(spanish i believe glasses with yellow lents) defo do not want to work there as is been so rude and told me hes doing things his own way i need to pay 1st before he will warm up my toast he's tone of voice was horrible he shouln t be employeed, pret is a better place without people like him defo he shoud be fired as i work in customer service i never been as horrible as he is ,while i was waiting for my tuna toasty he behave with the rest of the cust the same way trowing the drinks on the countee not even make eye contact with the customer I love Pret but bcoz of his nasty behaviour i will not pop in there not even if i will be payed

Today in the morning I am having coffee, and when it was served I watched as the girl mixed cold coffee with? I just came out of the cafeteria, I claim that she acts Swedish. I ask for the number for the services, and the chubby girl who turns out to be the manager who pretended to be the one who didn't understand anything and is Spanish, tells me that we have to consume, to What I remind you about is coffee. It's a common practice in everyone's case but you don't see it. It's also a common practice to invite you, and to post favorable reviews😅

The person that works there should be fired for bad customer service. I buy coffee from here 1-2 a week. Today I went in just to get some sugar as a friend was buying a coffee and he was INSIDE. The employee run after me because I took 3 sachets of sugar and salt+pepper. Pathetic

This is the Mocha I got from this branch. Not the first time I got half cup from this shop. What is wrong with you?

What happened to you, guys? Second time now (decided to give it another go after last disappointment) I asked for chai latte and received something absolutely disgusting - tastes like you used old milk or dirt water and this time it actually made me sick. Real health hazard :/

I ordered the avocado & chicken sandwich! Hardly any filling, avocado was brown! So disappointed! Tables are filthy too.

manager Juliana is the most Ill mannered person I think I have ever come across before. She is constantly rude to customers of colour / those wearing religious wear. (witnessed this on several occasions) and experienced it today myself. I frequently visit this pret and most of the staff are amazing - on the few occasions I have been unlucky enough to be served by Juliana she has been rude and unprofessional - today she told me I couldn’t have my drink without ice and when I said I have got this on many occasions at other stores she shoo’d me aside infront of other customers and refused to serve me. It only takes a few moments to read the comments to see this isn’t the first time she has acted this way toward somebody who is black / wears a headscarf. I’m repulsed and shocked that pret is still allowing her to continue in a “management” role when she doesn’t even know basic manners!

Wouldn't take cash (cool maybe you don't want to count the tills?) but lied & said no pretts do... weird bcs the one up the road does? Wasted my lunch break. Go to the one by London bridge station, they're way friendlier.

Staffs are friendly and coffee is nice too. But opening hour is very inconvenient,on website it says 7am opening but they open randomly at 7.30,7.40 8am which is not convenient for the people who had to start work from 8am,do fix time so people is aware of the opening time. management team fix the probs

This is my closest pret. It's sad to say the manager here she discriminate. I went 10mins before closing I ordered a late using my subscription. The customer in front of me was offered a free cookie. Then I asked asked if they discount things since its almost closing time or give away. The staff offered me a pastry she said else they will be thrown away. Manager who was about to go home she said No I shouldn't be given one. She she said they sometimes but not today. The a customer walked in tgey all shouted 'Mr hotchoclate' then immediately asked him would you like a hotcholate? I felt so awful. The manager sounds Latino. Am a black person so I don't deserve same service as others Why other Pret are so much nicer than others? Clearly down to the manager. Some manager spoil the frielt brand they should be retrained or not be there at all. I have over 18million views of my content so this will be read by a few people. I will change this when I get my apologies

Hi store is not open at 7am. I’m currently in costa, too rainy and cold outside Pret staff said they are closed, I’m not sure why I’m paying for this subscription Sainsburys across the road opened at 7am too 👀 What time do u actually open?

Pret oh pret... What happened?? - yes you still have nice sandwiches and great coffee.. But... You just never seem to clean tables any more. Dirty, bits of previous customer's sandwiches, spilt coffee, this is SOOOO sub-standard and it should be just basics really.. 4 people up front serving 4 customers here and no-one wants to clean the tables.. 😪😪😪

This used to be one of the best run branches of Pret a Manger. Really lovely efficient friendly staff and a manager who seemed to be really on it. There's been a change over of staff recently and while the staff are perfectly nice, it's just not as well run as it used to be and the customer service is not as good. The staff just don't seem to care as much about their customers as the previous team did.

Unbearable horrible hard rockmusic at the background in the morning over your coffee...what would be wrong with a soft classical music instead I am not gonna come back here to sit in for coffee. Updating as of 16thAugust2021,appears to be new staff on and very very slow service🎺🎶🤔 Updating as of 30th November 2021,at 8.35 am I bought 2 black americano and asked for a cup of hot water as the coffee served quite often turn out to bee too bitter to me and so I water ut down. Unfortunately this particular branch would serve a cup of hot water to water the coffee down to my taste. Staff called called the manager and she would neither serve me after some arguments and exchange she declined to serve hot water to me which I was also prepared to pay for it.

If you enjoy absolute chaos first thing in the morning, and a long wait for a coffee while those who ordered well after you are blessed with coffee, this is the place for you! I told myself a few weeks ago to stop coming here due to the totally random way they make and distribute coffee orders. Yesterday was the last straw, when I counted 17 people who ordered coffee after me being given their orders while I waited. 15 minute wait in that environment is silly. Do yourself a favour and get a coffee somewhere else.

Shambolic service when busy, staff look like they don’t want to be there and sometimes even argue with each other in front of customers. No process behind ordering - drinks come whenever they are ready and you will have to remind them of your order while waiting otherwise you won’t get it

Ok Pret a Manger what is going on Christmas sandwich in July and now they got decorations for Christmas outside this store I really can't help but wonder somehow how has covid-19 affected to the staff in their marketing department surely this just can't be an effort to cheer up the general public because this to me to be completely fair seeing Christmas decorations in the middle of july there's nothing to cheer me up what's so ever

Great coffee, reasonable prices and lots of space to sit. This pret also has iced drinks including frappe and smoothies. They also have a good selection of sandwiches, hot food and snacks.

Good food and drinks. Unfortunately, the Internet connection is not so good. They close at 7 PM and at 6:30 one of the employees started cleaning the floor next to me. I felt he wanted me to go immediately.

Grabbed a quick coffee as the machine at work was brokeen. Had my own take away cup which gives a 50p saving.

A warm atmosphere with great healthy food - however it attracts a mostly middle class white clientele.

Good, clean Pret. The seating would accomodat up to 40 people. Downstairs looks to be occupied by staff and isn't available for customers. The seating around the front of the shop is limited at best. It's best for a takeaway offee or an early morning weekend visit. If you're plannig to spend more than an hour in a coffee shop, take a 10 minute walk north towards London Bridge and you'll find a bigger pret there

Standard Pret experience. Same food selection as any other Pret and a quick and efficient queue time. This Pret is a lot less busy than the one closer to Londom Bridge, also located on the same side of the road.

Wheelchair accessible, friendly staff but seemed more interested in taking coffee offers than serving at tills. Couldn't get a tray for our food and scaffold outside hides location.

Pret consistently has decent quality food and coffee wherever you go, the convenience is factored into the price. Staff at this branch are friendly and efficient. Usually has a few free seats out the back. Why do we need three branches within 150 yards on Borough high street. Someone at planning lacks imagination.

love pret but table cleaning policy is a joke as are the wobbly tables. this goes for every single pret. chairs uncomfy too.
