The best restaurants serving Default food in Pembridge Kensington and Chelsea London

I'd booked a table at a nearby diner but when we arrived the kitchen had closed. On our walk back we discovered this place. It was just closing too but the guy served us and we ordered a large kebab. As we sat abd waited he asked if we wanted it in a tray to eat on the go to which we replied yes. O was expecting a small orange takeaway tray like you normally get in takeaways. He then asked if he wanted him ti throw in some rice and bread and beung hungry we said that'd be great. After a very short time he appeared with a huge silver foil tray full of meat, salad , rice and bread. The food was as outstanding as the service. We will definitely visit again when we return to London.

This is a nice place to grab a bite or a refreshing drink before making your way down Portobello Rd. Ali is always so friendly and our children love to stop and visit every time we go by. He has delicious crepes both sweet and savory, a selection of sandwiches and hot dogs as well as ice cream and waffles. You have to try one of his homemade juices, they are so refreshing in the summer time.

Great service. Our waitress was very polite and helpful. Coffee was nice, food was ok. I ordered a full English and it was served cold. Cold scrambled eggs, beans, etc. plates were cold too. It’s a small thing but could have changed that breakfast around just to warm the plates before serving up.

Nos encantó este restaurante. Vinimos aquí para la cena de cumpleaños de mi hija, así que éramos un grupo grande con adultos y dos niños. El restaurante es lindo y tranquilo y nos sentamos en la zona del jardín. La comida era increíble - compartimos un montón de aperitivos de la focaccia al atún y luego todo el mundo amaba su principal. El vino también era genial. Mientras la comida era de primera, el ambiente era simplemente cálido y el camarero estaba haciendo bromas con todos incluyendo a nuestra hija “la reina” : ) . Mientras vinimos como un grupo, mi marido y yo planeamos volver para una noche de citas.

We went here after a long day of sightseeing and didnt have much energy to go very far from our airbnb. This was a perfect spot that exceeded our expectations. We had a simple and delicious pizza with a glass of red wine. The service was friendly and prompt. I wish there were more family run restaurants like this.

O serviço foi demasiado lento e fraco em geral, sem nenhuma atenção ao cliente. As doses são pequenas e a comida não tem sabor, apesar do bom aspecto.

Een correct eenvoudige lunchbar met beperkte kaart achterin een winkel. Gezellige 'cosy' zit. Wij aten een salade van linzen met burrata, tomaat en een citroenpesto. Best ok. Vriendelijke bediening.

Il sont accueillant. La glace « Rainbow Cloud Cone » à 7£ est bonne et belle. Choix du cornet classique ou noir, choix de 3 saveurs pour mon format, et choix des topping. Apparemment tout est fait maison, sans colorant chimique, sans arôme artificiel... Je vous le recommande!

We were there today with my friends and the service was absolutely amazing!! we didn’t ask for our waiter’s name but it was a guy speaking lots of languages wearing light colour shirt. Absolutely amazing human and it was also the tastiest place that we visited. Hope to come back soon!

Edit - went back April 2025, still just as good. This place is a good way to get the whole pub experience and eat at the same time. We had Chicken Schnitzel and Fried Hake, both were good. And of course so was the draft beer. It is a pub which serves food, but has no separate dining room/area, so make reservations and eat early-ish to avoid issues with people who come just to drink, using all the tables. This is a common issue with similar pubs if they get crowded.

I was asked to leave because we were standing at the bar. I think we just weren’t the vibe as we weren’t a group of white people. We had just finished a meal for my 26th birthday and paid quite a lot. I am white but my friends were not. Recently I also went for a friend’s birthday. It felt very exclusive. The bar tenders also assumed doubles for the 6 drinks I bought amounting to over £80.
