Awful place, my mum took my 2 young children for their first and last time! My 13 year old had to pay an adult price as she was 141cm tall, yet she is a child until she is 16?? Food wasn’t great and they both now have upset tummies! never again!

We chose the Sutherland House Hotel to have dinner during a weekend visit to Southwold to celebrate a special birthday. It was the perfect choice, the food was incredible, Kinga’s passion for cooking shone through in the delicate flavours and in the detail of the presentation of the food. It was a lovely touch for Kinga to come out of kitchen to ask the guests if they were happy with their meal. Andy was very welcoming, attentive, looked after us extremely well and was interesting to talk to. The restaurant is quaint, inviting and the overall experience was quite unique. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back.

What a joke ordered 2 kebabs and wedges but never received wedges we got chips instead for some reason so wasn't happy about that. Also I asked for no onions on one of the kebabs as my partner is allergic to them but both of the kebabs turned up with onions. I tried ringing them a few times from 2140 for 5 mins but no answer and my partner tried ringing but no answer but the takeaway doesn't shut until 10 pm maybe later on a Sunday but not sure so will not be using them again as money was wasted as had to waste a meal this is not right.

Pub located few minutes walk from Southwold town centre, just round corner from the lighthouse. Old style decor with super friendly staff/owners?. Good place for a drinks and lunch/snack/dinner stop in a quiet location. In Southwold

Another wonderful lunch = this was the first proper meal we have had since going down with that lurgey that is doing the rounds. We've been off food and not really been able to taste or eat much till now. So it was really eally nice to get out and have a Sunday lunch our only regret was that we couldnt eat it all (left over side effect from the lurgery). So fabulous fabulous food well presented by great great staff - thank you.

Hi we went there for dinner, the place was clean and tidy, the service was ok, we were in the rear restaurant which was pleasant but had no atmosphere. The food was ok but not quite the standard of other places we have visited in the area. It’s worth a visit.

Had a Sunday lunch in here with my partner on Easter Sunday. Absolutely fantastic food with a great range of drinks to choose from at the bar! Can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you haven’t had a chance to get down and give this place a look since they reopened make sure you do!

Food is always good, never sat in restaurant. Don't understand the new waiting for food to be brought out from drive through even when it's not busy. Seems more work for the servers.

Incompetent staff, rude . Made wrong order even thought explained twice.

Had an evening with friends celebrating, the staff we amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was amazing, a taste sensation, the lemon tart was delightful, my only critique would be portion size, especially for the larger eaters, maybe sides could be added to the menu, I’m sure if we had asked they would have accommodated us but the meals can and we just tucked in, we will definitely be going back.

Travelled from Norwich for a spot of lunch and a mooch around the greenery. Although they stock some beautiful plants and gifts, the cafe was disappointing. With only cake and coffee available, no lunch, made more stressful as we had a very hungry toddler. One lady serving behind the counter who appeared confused with what she was doing at times. No option for a children’s hot chocolate. Even though this could have easily been catered to. Other staff members about but not offering help. Large que too but this didn’t seem to bother the staff and create urgency. Be nice to see a simple lunch menu in future.
