The best restaurants serving Default food in Stanford-le-Hope West Thurrock East of England

This is a fantastic venue. The decor is outstanding. We went here on Mother's day, the staff and food was great and lovely that the owners interact with their guests. Loved the atmosphere will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making Mothers Day so special.

I thought that I would use this Bangladeshi takeaway as it is opened recently. The takeaway does all of the ‘usuals’ however there are dishes that I haven’t tried before. So I ordered the Modhu Lamb which is chunks of Lamb with honey and mint mixed with baby new potatoes in a sauce. Wow what a tasty dish it is, superb. The other dish that I’ve never had is Niramish which is fried mixed vegetables with herbs. Another tasty dish. I also had a Keema Nan and mushroom pilau rice. I thought that on a very busy Saturday evening that I would be waiting ages but the food was ready and brought out to me within 10 minutes, so very happy with the service. Anokha has all the ‘usuals’ but also authentic Bangladeshi dish’s. The service was very good, the food was superb and plentiful and the prices very reasonable.

I visited and I was made welcome straight away, had an efficient friendly service. Atmosphere was good and the pub was clean. I would recommend and would return next time I’m in the area.

Highly recommend this coffee shop, lovely place and great service . Love how you can bring dogs in makes it family and pet friendly !

Was here for the Euro 2020 final. Staff were great and worked really hard. They kept everyone topped up with booze. Hope they got a bonus for all their effort!! I was sitting outside and, to be fair, it's a pretty good setup! However, one star lost for the seats not being comfortable enough! 2 hours of gameplay and penalties was too much for me! Or maybe it was my big a r s e....... ;-)

I ordered Chicken Marsala and garlic cheese bread I was not disappointed food was absolutely delicious.

It started with a guy doing balloons in the car outside and ended with a drug deal in the middle of the road as we were pulling away. Not the restaurants fault to be fair but it gives you the idea of what a sh*t hole the area is. Now the food. Carbonara was bland , beef rags over cooked and dry and pizza was average but a bit light on toppings. 1 st impressions was to leave wish we had. It was recommended by a guy I play football with. DC thanks mate it’s a carsey ! Never give me a recommendation again please.

A variety of dishes ordered.Arrived on time hot(temperature). Enough food for today and tomorrow!Enjoyed every dish. Staff polite and courteous. Thanks to all the staff and especially the chefs. See you soon.

Collected a takeaway.. Found a piece of metal and a hair in my naan bread! Put me off eating the rest of my meal so total waste of money! Called them and was told ‘thanks for letting us know’

My husband and I have been avoiding Indian food for a while as we never seem to have a decent meal. We received a leaflet through the door and thought we’d give a takeaway a try. We are so glad we did, the food was absolutely outstanding; so tasty and fresh and the chicken just melted in our mouths. We will definitely be reordering from here. The delivery man was also wonderful!

We had an amazing fish chips was so lovely and the staff was brilliant too will differently come back and for the gesst beer 10 out of 10 come and see.

Been here my whole life but just can’t afford to keep going anymore, the prices are crazy, yeah you can blame inflation but drive a town or 2 over to tilbury and their Chinese takeaways are giving you a full box meal for like £7, here can’t spend less than £15-20 here on what I’d consider basic menu items Lovely food and staff, but overpriced themselves from others with same quality

Poor flavour not helped by bland frozen chicken ……was hoping something would have some taste but rather disappointing. Have a bit of passion in producing food please.

If you want good food, a good atmosphere, and to be treated like a customer, then get in the car and go somewhere else. This place is a throwback from the 70’s, with rude staff, poor facilitates, and dated look altogether. The only people that ever go here are the “natives”, and that’s because fly never strays too far from the turd
